  • pylucene: install error

    I am trying to install Pylucene (pylucene-3.3-3-src.tar.gz) on my ubuntu linux 11.10. I have python 2.7.2. I was able to compile JCC (I think) because I didnt see any error when I installed it. When I tried to install Pylucene I get the following error. Can someone help? Thanks.   • RHEL 5.5 Yum Update Fails Dependency Error

    I have 30 different RHEL 5.5 machines that will not update some 33 packages via Yum. Does anyone know why these packages will not install and how to correct this? Yum clean all does not fix the issue, however skip broken will allow other updates to install but I am really after a way to clear this up for good. They are stock boxes with RHEL subscription and not using any yum repositories other than Red Hat's own official repositories. Assuming this server-side option cannot be turned off, how can allow local LAN access while connected with a Cisco VPN client?   • Ubuntu Hardy : Testing for environment variables in udev rules doesn't seem to work

    I have a Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (server edition), and I need to write a udev rule for it to act upon plugging a USB thumb drive. However, I need a different action depending on the filesystem of the drive. I know I can use the ID_FS_TYPE environment variable to check for the filesystem on the drive. Following instructions found here, I try a dummy udev rule as such : KERNEL!="sd[a-z][0-9]", GOTO="my_udev_rule_end" ACTION=="add", RUN+="/usr/bin/touch /tmp/test_udev_%E{ID_FS_TYPE}" ACTION=="add", ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="vfat", RUN+="/usr/bin/touch /tmp/test_udev_it_works" LABEL="my_udev_rule_end" However, when I plug in a thumb drive with a vfat filesystem (which should trigger both rules), I end up with a file called /tmp/test_udev_vfat, meaning the first rule was triggered successfully, and that the ID_FS_TYPE environment variable is "vfat", but I don't have the other file, meaning that although I know the ID_FS_TYPE env variable is "vfat", I can't seem to check against it for a match. I tried googling the thing, but pretty much every result seems to assume ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="vfat" works. I also tested the exact same udev rule on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server, and I have the same result. I'm probably missing something very simple, but I just don't get it. Does anyone see what is wrong with my udev rule that would prevent it from matching on ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}? Thanks.

I have a problem today with a new connection between: A port on a Cisco Catalyst 3750 [WS-C3750G-48TS-S running C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M version 12.2(53)SE1] A port on a Cisco ASA 5505 [ASA Software version 8.3(2)] The 3750 is home to a Vlan that has a few ports assigned to it. interface Vlan3 description Internal network (172.18.160.0/24) ip address 172.18.160.1 255.255.255.0 I have a host (outside of my control) that needs to be in this VLAN (i.e it must have an address 172.18.160.something/24) that also needs to access the Internet. To accomplish this, I ran a link from the Catalyst (Gi1/0/13) to the ASA (Ethernet 0/5). I configured the Catalyst port like so: interface GigabitEthernet1/0/13 description To ASA, 172.18.160.69 switchport access vlan 3 switchport mode access speed 100 duplex full I configured the ASA like so: interface Vlan1 nameif inside security-level 100 ip address 172.18.160.69 255.255.255.0 interface Ethernet0/5 speed 100 duplex full Then I plugged the host into Ethernet 0/4 on the ASA and instructed its owner to make its default gateway 172.18.160.69. I made a NAT rule in the ASA and set up some rules, and it's able to access the Internet without issue. However, I noticed that the Catalyst reports a ton of packets being dropped toward the ASA. Catalyst3750#show interfaces GigabitEthernet 1/0/13 | include counters|drops Last clearing of "show interface" counters 00:28:13 Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 136909347 This is a huge number of drops, since there's not much traffic on this VLAN at all. I tried these things: Make sure speed and duplex agree on both sides (100 Mbps / Full) Set no cdp enable on the Catalyst Gi10/13 Set no keepalive on the Catalyst Gi10/13 Checked for excessive CPU usage on both Checked for excessive traffic on both Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

Packets going from A - B is part of the same conversations as packets going from B - A. I need to perform a query to show the on going conversations. Basically what I need is something that looks like this: Returned Query: SrcAddress SrcPort DestAddress DestPort TotalBytes BytesA->B BytesB->A 10.0.25.1 255 10.0.25.50 500 208 112 96 75.48.0.25 387 74.26.9.40 198 136 72 64 As you can see I need the query (or series of queries) to recognize that A-B is the same as B-A and break up the byte counts accordingly. I'm not a SQL guru by any means but any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    The epoll manpage says that a fd registered with EPOLLET(edge triggered) shouldn't notify twice EPOLLIN if no read has been done. So after an EPOLLIN you need to empty the buffer before epoll_wait being able to return a new EPOLLIN on new data. However I'm experiencing problems with this approach as I'm seeing duplicated EPOLLIN events for untouched fds.     I am mostly following this page: http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/ssl-howto.html I used this command to create the keystore keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA -keystore /etc/tomcat6/keystore and answered the prompts Then i edited my server.xml file and uncommented/edited this line <Connector port="8443" protocol="HTTP/1.1" SSLEnabled="true" maxThreads="150" scheme="https" secure="true" clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" keystoreFile="/etc/tomcat6/keystore" keystorePass="tomcat" /> then I go to the web.xml file for my project and add this into the file <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>Security</web-resource-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <user-data-constraint> <transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee> </user-data-constraint> </security-constraint> When I try to run my webapp I am met with this: Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8443. * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If I comment out the lines I've added to my web.xml file, the webapp works fine. My log file in /var/lib/tomcat6/logs says nothing. I can't figure out if this is a problem with my keystore file, my server.xml file or my web.xml file.... Any assistance is appreciated I am using tomcat 6 on ubuntu.
