  • [LaTeX] Math symbols in listings

    Hi, I have a problem with Latex -- I don't know how to put mathematical equations and symbols in listings. I use --listings-- package and it's offers great looking listings, but it doesn't allow math symbols in $ .. $. Another package --algorithms-- allows math, but listings doesn't look as good as in --listings-- (the problem is that --algorithms-- demands to get new line after every --if--, --then--, etc.) Thanks for reply Michal

  • Invoking SQL Loader with a DSN

    I'm trying to load some data to an Oracle database using SQL Loader. Is it possible to invoke it with specifying the server to load the data into using a DSN instead of a TNS? Right now my command line looks like this: sqlldr uesr/password@tns_id..., I'd like to replace tns_id with a DSN that points to tns_id. Can SQL Loader figure out the TNS from the DSN by itself?

  • \center environment centers the whole document in LaTeX

    I have the following line between my \maketitle and my \begin{abstract}: \center{ \textsc{Some text here} } This seems to cause the ENTIRE DOCUMENT to be formatted as centered. Why is this and how should I get around it? Part two: Is there a way to get some text to appear only when the [draft] option is active. For example, when the draft option is active, I want some text to appear between my title and abstract: "draft: do not cite without permission" or some such.

    I have a standard passwd file & a usermap file - which maps unix name (eg jbloggs) with AD account name (eg bloggsjoe) in the format: jbloggs bloggsjoe jsmith smithjohn ... etc. How can I edit the passwd file to swap the original unix name with the AD account name so each line of the passwd file has the AD account name instead. Appreciate any help for a perl learner.

  • Eclipse complains android:scrollbars and android:fadingEdge do not allow Strings.

    Having a problem in Eclipse with regards to an XML file. Eclipse complains that android:scrollbars and android:fadingEdge do not allow Strings. I checked the Android developer site and they do in fact accept strings in the xml file. A related question posed had the problem where there was a missing :android after xmlns. As you can see from the code the line beginning with xmlns is correct I believe. Here is the complete file contents:

  • how can i disable the default console handler, while using the java logging api ?

    Hi I am trying to implement the java logging in my application. I want to use two handlers. A file handler and my own console handler. Both of my handlers work fine. My logging is send to a file and to the console . My logging is also sent to the default console handler, which i do not want. If you run my code you will see extra two line sent to the console. I don't want to use de default console handler. Does anyone know how to disable the default console handler. I only want to use the two hadlers i have created. Despite the latest binary being added to the website project, my code (eg myRadGrid.Datasource = "";) shows a red line on type names as they cannot be found for some reason.     When at the pdb console, entering a statement which causes an exception results in just a single line stack trace, e.g. (Pdb) someFunc() *** TypeError: __init__() takes exactly 2 arguments (1 given) However I'd like to figure out where exactly in someFunc the error originates. i.e. in this case, which class __init__ is attached to. Is there a way to get a full stack trace in Pdb?

MyViewController *viewController = [[MyViewController alloc] init]; [myWindow addSubview:viewController.view]; [viewController release]; As I understand, myWindow should be retaining viewController.view for as long as the window needs it. So why does this cause my app to crash on launch? (commenting out the last line fixes the problem, as expected)

  • What are useful functions for drawing text (MFC)?

I found DrawText and TextOut functions, but the text they show is flickering and don't know how to set the font and text orientation (I will need vertical text orientation as well as horizontal).     I see a description of what UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleSingleLineEtched looks like in Apple's Class Reference, and can see it by running the application. But I can't find any mention of when it's appropriate to use UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleSingleLineEtched instead of UITableViewCellSeparatorStyleSingleLine. In other words, what does this etched line mean to the user? Can anyone explain?

    I'm looking for an easy way to find the process tree (as shown by tools like Process Explorer), in C# or other .Net language. It would also be useful to find the command-line arguments of another process (the StartInfo on System.Diagnostics.Process seems invalid for process other than the current process). I think these things can only be done by invoking the win32 api, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong. Thanks! Robert
