  • Typo blogging platform with Heroku hosting: theming

    Does anyone know how to workarounds Heroku's limitations on writing to the theme files for the Typo blogging platform? I'd like to take advantage of the theming capabilities right from the browser. If any theme's stylesheet is changed I get the error message "Unable to write file" in addition to the fact that any theme being changed to one that is not the default causes the page to lose all styling and is displayed in plain text. I followed this (awesome) blog entry to get it up and working.

    Hey. I use FBStreamDialog to let users publish on their news feed. [fbStreamDialog show]; makes the dialog view popup, the user can press cancel or submit that message. Now...my problem is that both buttons close the dialog view and call the delegate method dialogDidSucceed. How do I find out which button was pressed? Its very important for me to know, any useful advice would be reaally really nice! Thanks, John

    Hi, Environment is: Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Slik-Subversion-1.6.11-x64 TortoiseSVN-1.6.8.19260-x64-svn-1.6.11 I have setted up svn srvice based on Jeff Atwood guidlines and can connect work with host via svn command lines like svn list svn://localhost, but TortoiseSVN can't connect to it even on server machine itself. All firewall types are off. TortoiseSVN error message is: Can't connect to host 'localhost': No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. How can I solve this problem?     Hello, In my application, I have a char array defined which can take one of three options: "okay", "high", "low" which are then sent down a serial port to a remote device.     Ruby Enterprise Edition fails to compile from sources with GCC 4.5, but sucessfully compiles with 4.3.3. Actually, not sure if it's about GCC, but, in fact, i686 Arch linux system with laest updates won't compile RE. I can't find in the API how to get the "TO" recipients as String for each Message. Can anyone guide me on how to do this? At least a link where someone has already done it. Thanks in advance

    Hi Guys, I'm relatively new with WPF. I'm trying to understand the difference between MouseDownEvent and PreviewMouseDownEvent. I understand the WPF event strategies and i understand that the MouseDown event is a bubbling event and the PreviewMouseDown is a tunneling event. I also understand the order of which these events are being fired - according to this MSDN overview http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms742806.aspx#routing (there is a diagram with example there). The 'MyButton' user control simply extends the base Button and override the OnMouseDown and OnPreviewMouseDown to set the e.Handled false: protected override void OnMouseDown(System.Windows.Input.MouseButtonEventArgs e) { base.OnMouseDown(e); e.Handled = false; } protected override void OnPreviewMouseDown(System.Windows.Input.MouseButtonEventArgs e) { base.OnPreviewMouseDown(e); e.Handled = false; } (tried with this and without this). According to the MSDN overview (in the link above), if i have 3 elements then the events route should be as follows: PreviewMouseDown (tunnel) on root element. PreviewMouseDown (tunnel) on intermediate element #1. PreviewMouseDown (tunnel) on source element #2. MouseDown (bubble) on source element #2. MouseDown (bubble) on intermediate element #1. MouseDown (bubble) on root element. So I expected the the message boxes to be shown according to the above. From some reason - which I don't understand only the preview events are being thrown (according to what the MSDN says Preview_B1=Preview_B2=Preview_B3). My expectations were: Preview_B1=Preview_B2=Preview_B3=NonPreview_B3=NonPreview_B2=NonPreview_B1. But the non-preview events are not being thrown at all. So basically I don't understand the route of the events, from MSDN overview I understood that the route starts from the root element, goes down (tunnel) to the source element and then back up (bubble) to the root element, but this is not what happening in practice. It is really important for me to understand how this events are working, i probably miss-understand something basic here, your help will be appreciated. THANX!! -Gili

    Hi guys, I want to override the validation_errors() method of the form helper in CodeIgniter for one controller only, so that it will display a single error message (as a sentence in plain english) instead of the detailed line item summary. I've tried defining a validation_errors() function in my controller, which is what I usually do with Silverstripe's Sapphire framework, but this won't with CI. What's the best way to override methods for a case by case basis?

Likely my understanding is flawed. That does not happen; instead an error occurs. Fiddler2 (http://fiddler2.com) displays the status code 500 "HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error".   • asp.net not deserializing soap response

    Hi all, I have been given a wsdl and have used wsdl.exe to create my proxy classes. I am able to call the function to initiate the request with some valid parameters and this returns my response object which is always EMPTY. When i inspect the soap message response using fiddler the soap does have valid data that should be deserialzed to the proxy classes. Can i manually intercept the derserializing call of the proxy classes generated by wsdl and check that .net is correctly derializing the soap response? Thank you

    hi there, I have a stored procedure and trying to run "sp_OACreate" but fall over with the following message: Msg 50000, Level 16, State 1, Procedure HTTP_REQUEST, Line 26 sp_OACreate on MSXML2.XMLHttp.4.0 failed That occurs because I am setting a variable to get the return value of sp_OACreate and raise the above error if the return value is not 0. Now, the return value I get is "-6" but i don't know why it is happening? Any help on this would be good to help make this work.

    I am trying to call an old COM library from my XBAP and continue to receive the following exception: System.AccessViolationException was unhandled Message: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. I have tried adding the HKLM value for RunUnrestricted to no avail. I don't get anything else but this error when calling the library. Any ideas? (This library even works from a pure ASP.NET app)
