InnoDB is one of MySQL storage engines, it supports transactions, row-level locking, and foreign-keys. However, by default, InnoDB is not enabled by XAMPP. To enable it, locate the my.cnf configuration file (normally in C:/xampp/mysql/bin directory) and search for the following lines: # Comment the following if you are using InnoDB tables But the path C:/xampp/mysql/bin directory in my system doesn't seem to have such a file... • Ignore SVN files when exporting a WAR file from Eclipse?

  I have a Dynamic Web Project in Eclipse. I can pack it to a WAR by right-clicking the project and choosing Export WAR File. This creates the WAR file as expected and it works. The problem is that Eclipse includes all the .svn folders of the project into the WAR file. Is there a way to tell Eclipse to ignore .svn folders in the WAR exporting process? Or even better, tell it to ignore all files or folders that match some given regular expression?

• How to export more than 1MB in XML format using sqlcmd and without an input file?

  Hello, In SQL Server 2008, I want to export the result of a stored procedure to a file using sqlcmd utility. Now the end of my stored procedure is a select statement with a "for xml path.." clause at the end. I read on BOL that if I don't want my output truncated when reaching 1MB file size, I have to use this :XML ON command, but it should be placed on its own line, before calling the stored procedure. Does any of you experts know if it is possible to do that without specifying an input file for sqlcmd? (I'm calling sqlcmd like this: exec master..xp_cmdshell 'sqlcmd -Q"exec storedProcedureName @param1=value1, @param2=value2" -o c:\exportResults.xml -h-1 -E', but "storedProcedureName" and its parameters can change, which would mean 1 input file per passed parameters to sqlcmd) Also, it seems that I can't use bcp instead of sqlcmd because my stored procedure is creating a temporary table and performing DML statements on it?   Hi guys - I'm working on a basic google applications based system. Like I earlier defined I'm building a simple ordering system and to each order placed I attach a file or document. I would like to be able to set it such that whatever file I upload is uploaded into google docs and I somehow am able to maintain a reference to that file from my own application i.e these files are concerned with such and such order. My application is google application based hopefully and I'm building it to be such for later on deployment into the cloud. How do I start on this and what do I need to do? Are there already working widgets I can use and apply or would I need to create my own customised solution for this? I'm working in Php MySQL.

But now I need to send a file, size of which may be greater then 1 Mb, so I can't use socets to send that file as bite stream. • Compiler is able to find function without matching .h file is updated?

  Hello Friends, I'm writing a C University project and stumbled upon a compiler behavior which I don't understand. In this file http://code.google.com/p/openu-bsc-maximveksler/source/browse/trunk/20465/semester/tasks/maman14/alpha/maman14/assembler/phaseOne.c?r=112 I've added a call to function named freeAsmInstruction(). This function is defined in file named lineParser.c, yet I haven't updated the matching lineParser.h header file to include this function declaration. Why does this code compile? I would expect that gcc would fail to compile phaseOne.c until the correct lineParser.h is updated with the declaration of freeAsmInstruction(). I would appreciate an explanation. Thank you, Maxim

• Can I use XText for a DSL involving an XML file type?

  I have defined a small DSL that is mostly written in the form of different types of XML files in conjuction with some property files. This works very well but I wish to create an Eclipse Editor to make editing these files easier for beginners (I already have a working parser). The main XML file can reference some items from the .properties files and vice-versa. THe main xml file can also reference other XML files. Certain options should only be available in the main xml file based on the contents of the .properties files and based on some osgi plugins that can be added to the DSL project (the syntax is dynamic depending on context). The structure of the language is fixed but the options available in each attribute or the choice of attributes themselves changes depending on metadata contained in plugin .jar files. Questions: Does XText support dynamic syntax (validation changes depending on external factors)? Does XText support XML files / .properties files? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

• Uploading image file from website on yahoo server causes 410 gone error message when trying to acces

  I have a form that lets users upload a photo of themselves. This seems to work. The photo does exist on the server once uploaded. When I try to access the file I get a "403 forbidden - you don't have permission to access this url on this sever" and also I get "Additionally, a 410 Gone error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request." • Why does PowerShell fail to build my .net solutions? ("file is being used by another process")

  I've written a PowerShell script to build several .net solutions one after the other. It simply makes several calls to csc.exe to build the .sln files. Almost every time I run the script one of the solutions fails to build and CSC.exe reports: error CS1606: Assembly signing failed; output may not be signed -- The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. This happens even though I've closed all instances of Visual Studio holding these solutions and I've none of their exes running on mu machine. A similar batch file that I've written works just fine. It's only PowerShell that complains about the file being used by another process. How can avoid having this happen? Are there any better examples out there of building .net solutions through PowerShell?

  I am doing something like: $outputFile = getCurrentDBSnapshot($data); where $data is the resource stream that am passing in, basically from command prompt am passing an file and am opening it using fopen for writing with 'w+' permissions, now getCurrentDBSnapshot would get the current state of a table and would update the $data csv file, so basically $outputFile would be updated with the current state of database table, now I want to var_dump or print the value of $outputFile to see the data present into it. But when I do $this->fout = fopen($outputFile,'r') or die('Cannot open file'); $test = fgetcsv($outputFile,5000,":"); var_dump($test); It gives me an error saying that it expects parameter 1 to be a string type and am passing resource. My goal to see the contains of $outputFile and so my question is that How can I see the contains present in $outputFile or how can I see what getcurrentDBSnapshot function is returning me ?

• Why am I getting unexpected output trying to write a hash structure to a file?

  I have a hash in which I store the products a customer buys (%orders). It uses the product code as key and has a reference to an array with the other info as value.   I often have to edit script files, the interpreter for which treats files that have an EOL marker on the last line of the file as an error (i.e. the file is treating CRLF as "newlines", not as "line endings"). Currently, I open these files in Vim using binary mode (-b on the command line). It autodetects the lack of EOL on the final line and sets the "noeol" option appropriately, which prevents it from writing an EOL on the last line. Because the file has CRLF line endings, I get lots of ^Ms at the end of my lines (because it interprets only Unix-style line endings in binary mode, it seems). I can't open it in text mode because the "noeol" option is ignored for non-binary files. This is very annoying, and I always have to remember to manually type the ^M at the end of each line! Is there some way I can force it to accept DOS-style line endings in binary mode, or force it to listen to the EOL option in text mode?

  I think in nmake if I do this: example : set value=77 echo %%value%% The result will display 77 on the console. Is there a way for me to invoke a .cmd or .bat file that will affect the environment of the nmake.exe process? Suppose I put the statement set value=77 in a file called "setvalue.cmd". Then change the makefile to this: example : setvalue echo %%value%% I get: %value% Alternatively, if there's a way to set a macro within a command block, that would also work. Or, a way to set the value of a macro from a batch file, even outside a command block.

  Visual Studio 2010 has no longer uses .vsprops files and instead uses .props files. To add a .vsprops file to a Visual Studio 2008 project, one could right-click the project icon in the Solution Explorer panel, choose Properties, go to the Configuration Properties | General section, and modify the Inherited Project Property Sheets property to contain a list of .vsprops paths. One could also modify the Visual Studio 2008 project file directly. Is there a way in the Visual Studio 2010 GUI to add .props files to a project? The Inherited Project Property Sheets property seems to have been removed. If manual editing of the project file is the only way to include .props files, where can one find documentation on doing it?

  Hi, I am creating a lightweight, single-file database administration tool and I would like to bundle some small icons with it. What is the best way to embed images in a HTML/PHP file? I know a method using PHP where I would call the same file with a GET parameter that would output hardcoded binary data with the correct header, but that seems a bit complicated. Can I use something to pass the image directly in a CSS background-image declaration? This would allow me to utilize the CSS sprite technique. Browser support isn't an issue here, so more exotic methods are welcome also. EDIT Does someone have a link/example to how to generate Data URL's properly with PHP? I'd figure echo 'data:image/png;base64,'.base64_encode(file_get_contents('image.png')) would suffice but I could be wrong.

• In Subversion, I know when a file was added, what's the quickest way to find out when it was deleted

  OK, so suppose I know I added file "foo.txt" to my Subversion repository at revision 500. So I can do a svn log -v http://svnrepo/path/foo.txt@500, and that shows all the files added at the same time. What's the fastest way to find when the file was deleted after it was added? I tried svn log -r500:HEAD -v http://svnrepo/path/foo.txt@500, but that gives me "path not found" - perhaps obviously, because the file "foo.txt" doesn't exist at "HEAD". I can try a binary search algorithm going forward through revisions (and that would certainly be faster than typing this question), but is there a better way?

  I'm trying to parse an XML file with expat, and here's the line where I get bad token exception: <tag k="name" v="???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????" /> xml.parsers.expat.ExpatError: not well-formed (invalid token): line 610127, column 37 The symbols in hex look like: \xd1? Seems like someone wrote this string (Russian alfabet) hitting backspace a few times. I set parser.returns_unicode = True, but this didn't help. The 1st line is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>. I work with a bz2 file. (bz2.BZ2File) How can I parse the file?

• Save a binary file in SQL Server as BLOB and text (or get the text from Full-Text index)

  Currently we are saving files (PDF, DOC) into the database as BLOB fields. I would like to be able to retrieve the raw text of the file to be able to manipulate it for hit-highlighting and other functions. Does anyone know of a simple way to either parse out the files and save the raw text on save, either via SQL or .net code. I have found that Adobe has a filtdump utility that will convert the PDF to text. Filtdump seems to be a command line tool, and i don't see a way to use a file stream. And what would the extractor be for Office documents and other file types? -or- Is there a way to pull out the raw text from the Full text index? Note i am trying to build a .net & MSSql solution without having to use a third party tool such as Lucene

  I'm working on a game project. I've created an object, Star(Object). I want to assign the name of the variables, dynamically, from a text file. If I have a text file with: Sol Centauri Vega I want the program to create the Star(Object) with variable names from the text file. I want the process automated, because I'm looking to create hundreds of stars. I could write the code out by hand: Sol = Star(Sol) Centauri = Star(Centauri) Vega = Star(Vega) But isn't there a way to automate this? Essentially, what I eventually want is a tuple with the list of stars, as their own objects. Then, when I am doing game maintenance, I can just iterate over all the objects in the tuple.

I'm hoping there is some way I can provide our smaller customers without access to commercial repackaging tools a freely available set of tools and steps to do the file replacement themselves. Only need to replace a single configuration file inside a compressed MSI, the target user can be assumed to already have Orca installed, know how to use this to customize the Property table (to embed license details for GPO deployment) and have generated an MST file.   Let's say you want to save a bunch of files somewhere, for instance in BLOBs. Let's say you want to dish these files out via a web page and have the client automatically open the correct application/viewer. Assumption: The browser figures out which application/viewer to use by the mime-type (content-type?) header in the HTTP response. Based on that assumption, in addition to the bytes of the file, you also want to save the MIME type. How would you find the MIME type of a file? I'm currently on a Mac, but this should also work on Windows. Does the browser add this information when posting the file to the web page? Is there a neat python library for finding this information?   Hi, When someone click on Browse for the input file below: <input type="file" name="blah" /> A dialog box will appear. The user will then select a file and click 'Ok'. The dialog box will close. Is there an event fire because of that? I tried onfocus and onblur, it didnt work out. The only way is, i start a timer to check the value content when it is onfocus. Not that elegant. Any solution?   Hi, I have a c# application that I have moved to a 64bit machine. This application reads in an Excel file for some data input. I would like to build this project as 64bit. Is there any way to have my program read in this file? I find it hard to believe that there is no way to use and Excel file as input into a 64bit app. I have installed Office 2010 64 bit as well as the 2010 Office System Driver Beta: Data Connectivity Components with no luck.
