    Good afternoon, Somebody asked me a question today and neither did I know the answer nor could I find it in the documentation. This person simply asked me if the sapply function in R was making concurrent calls to the function you want to apply to the list, or if the computation is done sequantially. Does anybody know the answer? What about rapply (the recursive version of this function)? Thanks, Jeremie

  • Copy values from one object to another.

    Anyone have a suggestion for a good utility class that maps values from one object to another? I want a utility class that uses reflection and takes two objects and copies values from the 1st object to the second if there is a public property with the same name. I have two entities that are generated from a web service proxy, so I can't change the parent class or impliment an interface or anything like that. But I know that the two objects have the same public properties.

    Suppose you have 2 files in the same directory: New File Name.txt and NewFil~1.txt If you use CopyFileEx to copy both files to the same destination, maintaining the same names, you will end up having only ONE file (the second one replaces the first one) which can be sometimes not a good thing. Any workaround for this behavior?

Is there anyway to automatically add XML comments to all of the public members in a class or a file.     Hi guys, Setting up some web development stuff with a friend, he's using Versions SVN (paid for by his company) which looks fantastic but is a touch pricey. I was tempted by SVNx but if I'm honest don't like the idea of using command line at all - much prefer a nice and easy to use GUI. I don't mind paying for it if I have to, but I was wondering if there were any really good alternatives? We'll be using Springloops as an SVN fwiw. Thanks

    I want to organize my c++ variables and functions in the following way: function prototypes in a header file "stuff.h", function implementation in "stuff.cpp", then say #include "stuff.h" in main.cpp (so I can call functions implemented in stuff.cpp). So far so good. Now I want to declare some variables in stuff.cpp that have global scope (so I can modify the variables in functions implemented in stuff.cpp and main.cpp). This doesn't seem to work. How can I do this?
