    For the longest time I've been curious to code in Intermediate Language just as an academic endeavour and to gain a better understanding of what's "happening under the hood". Does anybody provide Visual Studio support for *IL in the form of: project templates, IntelliSense integration, and those kind of RAD features? Edits: I don't mean restricted to out of the box support. For example, I can download Visual Studio extensions to support Python, COBOL, etc. Want the same for *IL. There is a stand-alone Intermediate Assembler tool.

    Greetings, The question relates to ASP.NET MVC I am creating some divs dynamically using AJAX (some views render dynamically). Inside these views a have some JS code. When user click on link i would like to open dialog box with google map. However, because these views are rendered dynamically it does not work because js code is not injected (what can be seen in page source). How can I resolve this problem?

    I'm building an app which will allow a user to scan the barcode on a 'shelf', 'box' or 'product' which will then bring up that particular item or all the associated items. As these are all separate models with their own ID's, I need a global ID table. I was thinking of a polymorphic table called 'barcodes' barcodes id barcode_number barcodable Is there an easy way to do this? Or is polymorphic the best way?

    Hi there, I'm looking for a fast SSL socket client basically talks SSL with remote service and I need features like connection pooling/limiting so that my other client calling this ssl socket can basically issue as many as requests and it will handle it peacefully. I looked into openssl s_client, but it says it's only for testing purpose, is there a handy tool avaiable? STunnel seems to be okay, but don't have that connection limiting option I need. Cheers.

    I want to fade in a background of an entry within a div - this is to show the user what the most recent entry is on page load. I want it to do it on page load, without having to click or hover or anything, just when the page loads.     After testing on msvc8, I found: Parse GetCommandLine() to argc and argv Standard C Library initialization C++ Constructor of global variables These three things are called before entering main(). My questions are: Will this execution order be different when I porting my program to different compiler (gcc or armcc), or different platform? What stuff does Standard C Library initialization do? So far I know setlocale() is a must. Is it safe to call standard C functions inside C++ constructor of global variables?

    A friend wrote a query with the following condition: AND ( SELECT count(1) FROM users_alerts_status uas WHERE uas.alert_id = context_alert.alert_id AND uas.user_id = 18309 AND uas.status = 'read' ) = 0 Seeing this, I suggested we change it to: AND NOT EXISTS ( SELECT 1 FROM users_alerts_status uas WHERE uas.alert_id = context_alert.alert_id AND uas.user_id = 18309 AND uas.status = 'read' ) But in testing, the first version of the query is consistently between 20 and 30ms faster (we tested after restarting the server). Conceptually, what am I missing?

Why is that? I don't want to have all results in just one page. I know that PageSize = 2 is silly small but I set that value in this case just for testing purpose (in reality it will be more).
