• Can't access apache from outsite my local network

  UPDATED: Now, when I type my external ip like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8079, i can access xampp defaults page. But the strange is that when someone else from outside my network, try to access it using the same ip, it doesnt work. I Think it should, because its the external ip. I'm getting crazy. I have tried for hours to access xampp defaults page from outside my local network. My ISP blocks port 80 and 8080. So I changed apache to listen to port 8079 Listen 8079 My local computer ip is 10.1.1.2 I can access the webserver, from any computer on my local network when I type http://10.1.1.2:8079 I also oppended the port 8079 on my modem, as the image shows bellow. (I think i did it right) When apache is running on my computer, if I test the port 8079 at http://canyouseeme.org/ i get the message "Success: I can see your service on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port (8079) Your ISP is not blocking port 8079" If apache is not running I get "Error: I could not see your service on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port (8079) Reason: Connection refused". So, it's clear that the port 8079 is oppened. But when I type xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8079 on google chrome for example, I get Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8079 What can I do to solve this, to allow apache to server the pages? I don't know what else I shoud configure. Please, help me. Thanks.

• Primefaces tabview: set the active index on tab change

  I've got a tab view that contains two tab. When I switch from tab 1 to tab 2, I'm calling some code that executes a validation and updates some values. Depending on the result of this validation, I would like to stay on tab 1, or go to tab 2, and refresh the tabs' content. I thought adding an update attribute to p:ajax would render the whole tabview but only the tabs and/or the tabs' content is re rendered. And weirdest of all, if I change update=":form:tabview" to update=":form" or update="@form", I only receive the tab's content in the ajax response - the component disappears from the page! My bean is viewscoped, I'm using Primefaces 3.5, JSF 2.1 and Tomcat 7. Any idea? Thanks.

• WPF - ListView within listView Scrollbar problem

  So I currently have a ListView "List A" who's items each have an expander control which contains another ListView "List B". The problem I am having is that sometimes List B grows so big that it extends beyond the range of List A's view area. List A's scroll bars do not pick up the fact that parts of List B are not being displayed. Is there a way to setup my xaml so that the scroll bars for List A will detect when the list inside the expander is longer then the viewing area of List A. • iPhone UIButton addTarget:action:forControlEvents: not working

  I see there are similar problems posted here, but none of the solutions work for me. Here goes: I have a UIButton instance inside a UIView frame, which is positioned within another UIView frame, which is positioned in the main window UIView. To wit: UIWindow --> UIView (searchView) --> UISearchBar (findField) --> UIView (prevButtonView) --> UIButton (prevButton) --> UIView (nextButtonView) --> UIButton (nextButton) So far, so good: everything is laid out as I want it. However, the buttons aren't accepting user input of any kind. I am using the UIButton method addTarget:action:forControlEvents: and to give you an idea of what I'm doing, here's my code for nextButton: nextButton = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom]; [nextButton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"find_next_on.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [nextButton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"find_next_off.png"] forState:UIControlStateDisabled]; [nextButton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"find_next_off.png"] forState:UIControlStateHighlighted]; [nextButton addTarget:self action:@selector(nextResult:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; The method nextResult: never gets called, the state of the button doesn't change on touching, and there's not a damned thing I've been able to do to get it working. • Problem with waitable timers in Windows (timeSetEvent and CreateTimerQueueTimer)

  I need high-resolution (more accurate than 1 millisecond) timing in my application. The waitable timers in Windows are (or can be made) accurate to the millisecond, but if I need a precise periodicity of, say, 35.7142857141 milliseconds, even a waitable timer with a 36 ms period will drift out of sync quickly. My "solution" to this problem (in ironic quotes because it's not working quite right) is to use a series of one-shot timers where I use the expiration of each timer to call the next timer. Normally a process like this would be subject to cumulative error over time, but in each timer callback I check the current time (with System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch) and use this to calculate what the period of the next timer needs to be (so if a timer happens to expire a little late, the next timer will automagically have a shorter period to compensate). This works as expected, except that after maybe 10-15 seconds the timer system seems to get bogged down, and a few timer callbacks here and there arrive anywhere from 25 to 100 milliseconds late. After a couple of seconds the problem goes away and everything runs smoothly again for 10-15 seconds, and then the stuttering again. Since I'm using Stopwatch to set each timer period, I'm also using it to monitor the arrival times of each timer callback. During the smooth-running periods, most (maybe 95%) of the intervals are either 35 or 36 milliseconds, and no intervals are ever more than 5 milliseconds away from the expected 35.7142857143. During the "glitchy" stretches, the distribution of intervals is very nearly identical, except that a very small number are unusually large (a couple more than 60 ms and one or two longer than 100 ms during maybe a 3-second stretch). This stuttering is very noticeable, and it's what I'm trying to fix, if possible. For the high-resolution timer, I was using the extremely antique timeSetEvent() multimedia timer from winmm.dll. In pursuit of this problem, I switched to using CreateTimerQueueTimer (along with timeBeginPeriod to set the high-resolution), but I'm seeing the same problem with both timer mechanisms. I've tried experimenting with the various flags for CreateTimerQueueTimer which determine which thread the timer runs on, but the stuttering appears no matter what. Is this just a fundamental problem with using timers in this way (i.e. using each one-shot timer to call the next)? If so, do I have any alternatives? One thing I was considering was to determine how many consecutive 1-millisecond-accuracy ticks would keep my within some arbitrary precision limit before I need to reset the timer. So, for example, if I wanted a 35.71428 period, I could let a 36 ms timer elapse 15 times before it was off by 5 milliseconds, then kill it and start a new one.

• sqlite3 permission denied android

  Hi, I'm trying to access the database of the application I'm developping directly on my Nexus, but I get a "permission denied" when I tried to execute the "sqlite3" command. I also tried to start the adb in root mod, but again, permission denied on the device... I guess I will have to do that with the emulator but I have a lot of data to load and it would have been 10 times faster with the phone on Wifi than the emulator...   HTML5's localStorage databases are usually size-limited — standard sizes are 5 or 10 MB per domain. Can these limits be circumvented by subdomains (e.g. example.com, hack1.example.com and hack2.example.com all have their own 5 MB databases)? And is there anything in the standard that specifies whether parent domains can access their children's databases? I can't find anything, and I can see arguments for doing it either way, but it seems like there has to be some standard model.

  I'm connecting to a vendor-supplied web ASMX service and sending a set of data over the wire. My first attempt hit the 1 minute timeout that Visual Studio throws in by default in the app.config file when you add a service reference to a project. I increased it to 10 minutes, another timeout. 1 hour, another timeout: Error: System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:59:59.6874880. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.TimeoutE xception: The HTTP request to 'http://servername/servicename.asmx' has exceeded the allotted timeout of 01:00:00. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.Net.WebExcept ion: The operation has timed out at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() [... lengthly stacktrace follows] I contacted the vendor. They confirmed the call may take over an hour (don't ask, they are the bane of my existence.) I increased the timeout to 10 hours to be on the safe side. However the web service call continues to time out at 1 hour. • Entity Framework SaveChanges error details

  When saving changes with SaveChanges on a data context is there a way to determine which Entity causes an error? For example, sometimes I'll forget to assign a date to a non-nullable date field and get "Invalid Date Range" error, but I get no information about which entity or which field it's caused by (I can usually track it down by painstakingly going through all my objects, but it's very time consuming). Stack trace is pretty useless as it only shows me an error at the SaveChanges call without any additional information as to where exactly it happened. Note that I'm not looking to solve any particular problem I have now, I would just like to know in general if there's a way to tell which entity/field is causing a problem. • WPF: TextBox expanding with surrounding Grid but not with text

  I have a problem with a TextBox in an application... A window has a Grid with two columns. The left column contains a control with a constant width but with a height that adapts. The right column contains a TextBox that takes up all remaining space in the Grid (and thereby in the Window). The Grid is given a minimal width and height and is wrapped within a ScrollViewer. If the user resizes the window to be smaller than the minimal widht/height of the Grid, scrollbars are displayed. This is exactly how I want it to be. However, a problem occurs when the user starts typing text. If the text is to long to fit in one line in the TextBox, I want the text to wrap. Therefore I set TextWrapping="Wrap" on the TextBox. But since the TextBox has an automatic width and is wrapped in a ScrollViewer (its actually the whole Grid that is wrapped), the TextBox just keeps expanding to the right. I do want the TextBox to expand if the window is expanded, but I don't want the TextBox to expand by the text. Rather the text should wrap inside the available TextBox. If the text don't fit within the TextBox height, a scrollbar should be displayed within the TextBox. Is there a way to accomplish this? • Snow Leopard sqlite3-ruby install problem

  UPDATE 3/20/10 I'm running Mac OSX Snow Leopard, this problem is caused by a recent train wreck in which I updated ruby without RVM. I've attempted to properly install/run RVM, however I can't get it to work. I am unable to install the sqlite3-ruby gem. I get the following ERROR: Error installing sqlite3-ruby: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. • Linq 2 Sql DateTime format to string yyyy-MM-dd

  Basically, i need the equivalent of T-SQL CONVERT(NVARCHAR(10), datevalue, 126) I've tried: from t in ctx.table select t.Date.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd") but it throws not supported exception from t in ctx.table select "" + t.Date.Year + "-" + t.Date.Month + "-" + t.Date.Day but i don't think it's an usable solution, because i might need to be able to change the format. The only option I see is to use Convert.ToString(t.Date, FormatProvider), but i need a format provider, and I'm not sure it works either.
