    I am unable to update value of select from AngularJs. But this change is not visible on UI.

    I'm looking for a way to append text to the url with jQuery so that the back button is not broken when a user loads new content with jQuery. For example, I have a three step form - the first step is (www.xyz.com/form-1). When the user clicks next step, jQuery slides in the next page. I would like that page to be (www.xyz.com/form-2). I know websites like hypem.com do this, I'm just looking for an elegant way to handle it.

    I wrote simple class in JS witch works, but i had problem when i try use setInterval with it. Ex. if i do something like that ball = new ball(5,10,0, '#canvas'); ball.draw(); ball.draw(); ball.draw(); ball.draw(); It works.     I have a textarea that I would like to send a value to and I am using the following to achieve this.. <textarea style="width: 300px; height: 150px;" name="message"></textarea> <a href="#updates" onclick="document.sendform.message.value='7'; return true;"style="color:white">Year 7</a> This is working as expected however it also overwrites any text that is in the textarea already, is there any way I can achieve this without over writing the existing text in the textarea?     Hi, Im currently building a new discount-webpage and Im looking for a solution to be able to hover over a discount button to reveal a small text without clicking. And after clicking on the button that the text in the flash button is copied into the clipboard and a new page open with a small frame from my window with the new page underneith. examples of this kind of script can be viewed on this page: http://www.retailmenot.com/ on the yellow boxes with the discount text. Im not looking for a free script or for someone to do this for me. All I want to know if there is another language to do this with like possibly java? and maybe some links to tutorials. (the current page solves this with flash which I havent worked with before.)

  • Insert dependencies dynamically in View (Javascript and CSS Files)

    Friends, I am willing to follow the rules of the W3C where it is recommended that javascript and CSS files should be in individual files and not within the page. Good, following this rule, and not wanting to overload the master page, I would like to embed the dependencies dynamically. So how could I insert the libraries dynamically? I think the bigger problem is the Ajax requests. Example: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://sstatic.net/so/js/master.js?v=6523"></script> I tried using the JavascriptResult, but he writes the content on the page, and do not run as "Stream."   • When is a Google Maps API key required?

    Recently Google changed it's policy on the use API keys. You're now supposed to no longer need an API key to place Google Maps on your website. And this worked perfectly. But now I have this map (without API key) running on my localhost, which works fine. But as soon as I place it online, I get a popup saying that I need another API key. And on another page on that website, Google Maps does work. Could it maybe have something to do with that the map that doesn't work have a lot (30+) of markers on it? Actually using an API key wouldn't be a very nice solution to me, as this is part of a Wordpress plugin used on many websites.

  • problem when opening new window in asp.net application, new window didnt show anything

    Hello I have an asp.net application which I used some Ajax method. in some cases I open an new window ( Full Screen ) and users must work on it. the problem is , some users report me that some times new window was blank and didnt show any content , in status bar just write connecting .... and nothing else. Just when customers closed all opening browser and open again , they can view pages. this happend when users work for a while and click open new window links before the page loaded compeletly. how can I fix this problem? regards

  • jQuery - How to combine has() and gt()

    With jQuery 1.4.2, I can't figure out how to combine has() with :gt. I'd like to select any ul which contains more than 3 lis, so here's what I've tried: $(document).ready(function(){ $("ul.collapse:has(li:gt(2))") .each( function() { $(this).css("border", "solid red 1px"); }); }); This does work with the 1.2.6 jQuery library, but not 1.3.2 or 1.4.2. I'd appreciate any help in understanding what's going on here. Thanks!

    Hi, is it legal to remove the logo/terms of use link displayed on my integrated google map (google maps premier)? The problem is that when I zoom into the map, the link tends to get longer and loger and overlays the whole website which is pretty ugly. Of course it is possible to give the div container a "overflow: hidden;" flag which helps a little. But it is still not satisfying. Thx

  • Submit button on nested form submits the outer form in IE7

    I have the following code on my Home.aspx page: <form id="frmJump" method="post" action="Views/ViewsHome.aspx"> <input name="JumpProject" /><input type="submit" value="Go" /> </form> However, when I click the "Go" button, the page posts back to Home.aspx rather than going to ViewsHome.aspx. I even tried adding some script to force the form to submit: <input name="JumpProject" onkeypress="if(event.keyCode == 13) { this.form.submit(); return false; }" /> But still even if I press ENTER, the Home.aspx page is reloaded. The only thing I can see that might be borking things is this form is actually a child form of the main POSTBACK form that ASP.NET injects into the page. I'm sure there's something stupid I'm missing and this post will get 800 downvotes instantly banishing me back into the n00b realm, but perhaps I haven't gotten enough sleep lately and I'm missing something stupid. This is on IE7 and an ASP.NET 4.0 backend. I also have jQuery libraries loaded on the page incase jQuery can improve this somehow. Thanks!

    I've made a script which copies the ALT-tag of an image and puts it into a SPAN. It also formates the information devided by a hyphen. It works like a charm, but only with one image. Further more, I would like it to wrap a div around the image, to prevent unnecessary markup, as I have now.   • Why is Chrome miscalculating jQuery submenu dimensions?

    I'm trying to implement this dropdown menu with flyouts: http://jsfiddle.net/chunkymonkey/fr6x4/ In Chrome certain categories can be expanded to show their subcategories while others show nothing when opened up. For example: Alternative Rock can be expanded to show its multiple subcategories . . . BUT . . . World Music, which has as many subcategories, shows no subcategories when expanded.   • Loading/Displaying large amount of data on webpage.

    I have a webpage which contains a table for displaying a large amount of data (on average from 2,000 to 10,000 rows). This page takes a long time to load/render. Which is understandable. The problem is, while the page is loading the PCs memory usage skyrockets (500mb on my test system is in use by iexplorer) and the whole PC grinds to a halt until it has finished, which can take a minute or two. IE hangs until it is complete, switching to another running program is the same. I need to fix this - and ideally i want to accomplish 2 things: 1) Load individual parts of the page seperately. So the page can render initially without the large data table. A loading div will be placed there until it is ready. 2) Dont use up so much memory or local resources while rendering - so at least they can use a different tab/application at the same time. How would I go about doing both or either of these? I'm an applications programmer by trade so i am still a little fizzy on the things I can do in a web environment. Cheers all.
