I can't use header('Content-Type') because the image is being used in a HTML document. http://manga.justcarl.co.uk/N/Naruto/494/1 - one of the pages attempting to request an image... the image looks broken because it's trying to output it as html

    - by Kyle Noland
For those of us who use standard shared hosting packages, such as GoDaddy or Network Solutions, how do you handle datetime conversions when your hosting server (PHP) and MySQL server are in different time zones? Also, does anybody have some best practice advice for determining what time zone a visitor to your site is in and manipulating a datetime variable appropriately?

  • CSS: achieving TWO-WAY infinite scroll with mouse drag

    - by Miguel Ping
Hi, I'm trying to create an infinite scroll component. I'm using this site as a tutorial, but it seems that I can only get the infinite scroll on one way, because when I add elements to the leftmost side, the scrollLeft property auto-adjusts thus the page gets a quirky scroll, jumping instead of making a smooth movement. Is there any way of achieving infinite scroll both-ways? I don't plan to use scrolling buttons, just mouse drag for moving the scroll view.

  • Counting keystrokes and clicks in vb.net

    - by Cyclone
I'm trying to create an application similar to the site WhatPulse, which will generate an image with my clicks and keystrokes. WhatPulse only updates the image once every 24 hours, so I am going to make an application to keep track of that for me, only with realtime stats. How can I count total keystrokes (outside of the application itself) as well as total clicks, in vb.net? This is for personal use. Thanks for your help!

  • Where can I find an introduction to using PDO?

    - by aslum
I know my SQL safety isn't up to par. I've read on this site that PHP PDO would be a good first step, and while I did take a look at the PDO Manual it's a bit daunting. Is there somewhere I can find a tutorial on the basics of using PDO rather then straight MySQL calls?

  • Fuzzy match in sharepoint search engine?

    - by SeeBees
In sharepoint 2007 sites, we can search for people or other contents. Is the search engine able to do fuzzy match so that "Micheal" can be corrected to "Michael"? If it's possible, does it need extra configuration? I am also writing a custom webpart that uses sharepoint search service, a web service that has url like "http://site/_vti_bin/search.asm". Is it possible to use this service to do fuzzy search as well? Thanks.
