  • Visual Studio 2010 color theme

    Has anyone found/made any decent color themes for Visual Studio 2010? My VS 2005/2008 themes seem to be getting mangled in the upgrade process. I'm accustomed to using the ever famous Oren Ellenbogen's Dark Scheme featured on Scott Hanselman's blog, but the upgrade process has made it downright butt-ugly. Does anyone have any gems they'd like to share?

    I want to use YUI Compressor (the original) and use it as part of typical MS build processes (Visual Studio 2008, MSBuild). Does anyone have any guidance or thoughts on this? For example, good ways for incorporating into project, what to do with existing CSS and JS references, and the like.   • EF Query Object Pattern over Repository Example

    I have built a repository which only exposes IEnumerable based mostly on the examples in "Professional ASP.NET Design Patterns" by Scott Millett. However because he mostly uses NHibernate his example of how to implement the Query Object Pattern, or rather how to best translate the query into something useful in EF, is a bit lacking. I am looking for a good example of an implementation of the Query Object Pattern using EF4.

I now want to split up my configuration into a couple of different files, so need to exectue the command again before the build. The problem is the PreBuild event text all gets executed as one console command. How can I split it up as several commands?

    Hi, I have to create a hash of the form h[:bill] = ["Billy", "NA", 20, "PROJ_A"] by login where 20 is the cumulative number of hours reported by the login for all task transactions returned by the query where each login has multiple reported transactions. Did I do this in a bad way or this seems alright. h = Hash.new Task.find_each(:include => [:user], :joins => :user, :conditions => ["from_date >= ? AND from_date <= ? AND category = ?", Date.today - 30, Date.today + 30, 'PROJ1']) do |t| h[t.login.intern] = [t.user.name, 'NA', h[t.login.intern].nil? ?     Preface: This works on one Oracle 11gR1 (Solaris 64) database and not on a second and we can't figure out the difference between the two databases.   • How do I execute a cmd in C#, then in the same window execute another command that follows?

    Hey Guys, Right what im trying to accomplish is a program that basically sets the active partition in 1 click, saving the effort time and skill of using cmd prompt etc. I have looked into the System.Management name space but couldn't work out how to use it :( So i have resorted to using CMD, i have got a module application written in C# and basically i want to run "DISKPART" which then starts the diskpart in the cmd window, then i want to ask it to "Select disk 0" followed by "select partition 1" finally followed by "active". Doing this in CMD yourself works fine but with an application its proved to be awkward :( What ive managed to get it to do is run DiskPart fine in one window with Process.Start, then get it to open a new window and run the next piece of code but because the new window hasnt ran the diskpart cmd it doesnt work :( Any suggestions?     Hi, I entered some products data into a table using a migration. I need to expire the page and fragment cache when I update, add, delete products from this table. I created a sweeper for this. class ProductSweeper < ActionController::Caching::Sweeper observe Product def after_create expire_cache end def after_save expire_cache end def after_update expire_cache end def after_destroy expire_cache end private def expire_cache expire_page(:controller => 'ProductsController', :action => 'index') expire_fragment 'listed_products' end end Then in script/console I update the product name and saved. When I reload my app in the browser it still gives me a cache hit. Cached fragment hit: views/listed_products (0.2ms) Can someone tell me how to expire this cache. I will not be adding, updating, deleting products through a controller action. thanks, ash

  • Is the iPhone/iPad delete "badge" available via the SDK?

I would like to put a "delete" badge in the upper left corner of each thumbnail like the one you see either when deleting apps from the iphone/ipad home screen.
