    we want to have the second biggest element. We first use ANY to exclude the biggest one. Then we use all to select the biggest. However when we run this query, it shows the biggest and not the second one. Why?   • How to check when animation finishes if animation block is

    I have a controller which adds as subviews a custom UIView class called Circle. Let's call a particular instance of Circle, "circle". I have a method in Circle, animateExpand, which expands the circle by animating the view. In the following code (which lives in the controller) I want to alloc and init a circle, add it to a NSMutableArray circleArray, animate the expansion, and at the end of the expansion, i want to remove the object from the array. My attempt: Circle *circle = [[Circle alloc] init]; [circleArray addObject:circle]; [circle animateExpand]; [circleArray removeObjectIdenticalTo:circle]; [circle release]; The problem is [circleArray removeObjectIdenticalTo:circle]; gets called before the animation finishes. Presumbly because the animation is done on a seperate thread. I cant implement the deletion in completion:^(BOOL finished){ }, because the Circle class does not know about a circleArray. Any solutions would be helpful, thanks!

  • cc.net dynamic paramaters in publisher block

    I am Using CC.Net to run an .exe file after project build is complete and need to pass the project name, publish date/time and user on the command line as paramaters to the .exe. However I can't get cc.net to recognise these a dynamic properties and replace them with the correct values.     Is it possible to do indexed element access in JPQL like in HQL : select o from Order o where o.items[0].id = 1234 I couldn't find something related in the JPA 2 specs, I am targeting EclipseLink JPA here, so if you come up with an EclipseLink solution, that's ok as well, although a JPQL standard solution is preferred.

    I have a search and results page that I would like to highlight the keywords that were searched for, in the text of the results. It was suggested that I use TextLine for this, but I am having trouble figuring out how to make it work.   • Scriptaculous Sortable.create - Can't hook the dragged element

    When using Sortable.create I can't seem to get the element that is being dragged. Does Sciptaculous not fully implement all Draggable and Droppable features when you use sortable? Given: Sortable.create("sortArea", {scroll:window, onChange:orderLi}); function orderLi(){ console.log(this.draggables.each(function(e){if(e.dragging==true){return e};})); } My console always shows all the array of draggables. How do I only grab the one that is being dragged?

  • copy an element as HTML to clipboard

    I've managed to write some jQuery to find an element and copy it's html to the clipboard (ie only). The problem is that when I paste this into a rich text box area in sharepoint it pastes the HTML as text only. How do i replicate the user action of highlighting a link on a page and pressing copy. When I do this manually and then paste the clipboard contents the rich text area realises that it is markup and replicates the link as an anchor in the text content.

    I'm trying to write validation rules for my data objects in a WPF application. I'm writing them in the configuration file, and so far they are working fine. I'm stumped on how to localize the messages using messageTemplateResourceName and messageTemplateResourceType. What I know is that the strings can be writen in a resource file, given a name and referenced by that name. I've tried messageTemplateResourceType="typeof(Resources)" messageTemplateResourceType="Resources" messageTemplateResourceType="Resources.resx" messageTemplateResourceType="typeof(Shell)" messageTemplateResourceType="Shell" messageTemplateResourceType="Shell, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" I've also tried adding a new resource file in the shell project, and adding a resource file to the data object's library. I'm all out of ideas Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not even married to the idea of resource files, so if there are other ways to localize these messages I'd love to know! thanks

The requirement is that once the application has been installed , user should not be able to edit the system time/date . This is to make sure that the application generated dates/reports are not manipulated. My target OS is Win-XP What is the best way to do that ? Does OS provide any facility to do that ?     Is there an easy and straight-forward method to select elements based on their data attribute? For example, select all anchors that has data attribute named customerID which has value of 22. I am kind of hesitant to use rel or other attributes to store such information, but I find it much harder to select an element based on what data is stored in it. Thanks!

  • How to block the UI during asynchronous operations in WPF

    We have a WPF app (actually a VSTO WPF app). On certain controls there are multiple elements which, when clicked, load data from a web service and update the UI. Right now, we carry out these web requests synchronously, blocking the UI thread until the response comes back. This prevents the user clicking around the app while the data is loading, potentially putting it into an invalid state to handle the data when it is returned. Of course the app becomes unresponsive if the request takes a long time. Ideally, we'd like to have the cancel button active during this time, but nothing else. Is there a clever way of doing this, or will we have to switch the requests to execute asynchronously using backgroundworker and write something that disables all the controls apart from the cancel button while a request is in progress?

I want it to print 1 } } How can I change TrueFalseQuestion Type so that the static method is always run so that I get 1 instead of 0 when I run my main method? I do not want any change in the main method. I am actually trying to implement the factory patterns where the subclasses register with the factory but i have simplified the code for this question.

But essentially I am trying to emulate a ticket machine. The ticket machine maintains a list of tickets in the BlockingQueue q. Whenever a client adds a ticket to the machine, the machine also keeps track of the price of the last 5 tickets (ArrayList list)

  • Re-adjusting a binary heap after removing the minimum element

    After removing the minimum element in a binary heap, i.e. after removing the root, why is the last leaf then assigned to the root and sifted down? Why not take the lesser child of what used to be the root and just keep sifting up all the children? Isn't this the same amount of operations, so why is the "sift down" method preferred?
