• ftp connection problem, vsftp server, active mode

  I have a server that runs vsftpd to handle ftp connections. One of my users have a notebook with Total Commander and WinSCP installed. Both ftp clients fail right after the connection is established to the server and it tries to download the directory listing with the following error message: Timeout detected. Could not retrieve directory listing PORT command successful. Consider using PASV. Error listing directory '/'. The weird thing is: the notebook works perfectly ok with other ftp servers. My ftp server also works well with other clients. In fact, this user also has a pc running on the same LAN as the notebook and the pc works well with the ftp server. We use PORT ftp connection mode. Passive mode works well but is not an option at this point. I would post more technical details but I don't even know what this problem is related to. Anyway, below is the server side tcpdump for the failed connection attempt. There's no further communication between the client and the server after the last line of log.   Windows XP professional SP3 Firefox 13.0.1 NoScript Addon 2.4.6 I can't click Javascript links, like for opening a popup window (which I usually don't care about, but this time it was Important :-( ). I mention NoScript as I used to have a button where I could temporarily enable Javascript so the link would work, but with one of the latest updates this seems to be gone. I have "Block popup windows" unchecked and "Enable Javascript" checked in Options. How can I get the NoScript button back?

  My power button is non responsive I am getting LED for charging. I've taken it apart before to change the dc jack and it was fine and a few months later it just powered off. I try to power back on and is goes to start up then shuts off. I just took it apart and came to find the ribbon cable connecting the power button/speakers cover is barely hanging on do I have to replace the whole thing or is there a way to replace the ribbon cable?

  This is probably a pretty easy to answer question, but I can't find the solution myself after a couple hours of searching the documentation and Google. I set the orientation of my Android app to landscape in the AndroidManifest.xml file: android:screenOrientation="landscape" However, when I run the app in the simulator, it appears sideways and in portrait mode. How can I switch the emulator to landscape mode on a mac? It's running the 1.6 SDK. Thanks!

  Hi guys, I need help to align CSS buttons. I tried many different variations and I just cannot center my button the way I want. Firstly, have a look at this url: http://www.front-end-developer.net/cssbuttons/example.htm I'm using 2 images to form a button (this could be done on 1 image, but in this case we've got two). Everything works as expected as long as we apply float:left or float:right to the parent div element, to 'limit' width of the div and close it as soon as the content of the div ends. You can remove float:left from the button to see what I mean. But what about center positioned buttons? I cannot add float:left/right because I want align it in the middle. In theory, I could set { width:XXpx; margin:0 auto; } And I will get what you can see on this picture: But I don't know the length of the text inside. Having different translations my button can be very short, or 5 times that long. I also tried to use <span> instead of <div>, but unfortunately nested inline elements don't respect their padding correctly... And yes, I must use <a> inside, so buttons can be accessed by web crawlers. I'm really stuck on this one.

  In Firefox on Ubuntu, if I middle-click anywhere on a page that's not a link, it seems to treat whatever text is in the clipboard as a URL and tries to load it. This is annoying, since if I either accidentally click the middle button or (more often) miss a link when trying to middle-click it, I'll either go to whatever URL is in my clipboard or get an alert saying: The URL is invalid and cannot be loaded Is there any way of either: a) Disabling this functionality so that middle-click on a non-link does nothing (maybe an about:config setting?, or b) Making the functionality more intelligent, so that it will only try and open text if it looks like a URL (this seems like a job for a plugin).
