    Folks, I am pulling all my Flash (pure AS3 project, not Flash CS3) content from a Drupal back-end for SEO purposes. This works great, except the HTML rendering built into the TextField object leaves a lot to be desired. Could anyone recommend any libraries that would allow me to display HTML elements? I'm after a package that provides the basic CMS features that I can build on for a wide range of purposes. I've heard of PHPcake, Drupal ect but I don't know enough about these to make an informed decision. What alternatives are there? Are they OO, MVC, producedual?     Hi, I can't seem to find my problem with this really simple .htaccess file: Options -Indexes Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase /d/ #drupal style url rewriting RewriteRule ^([^.]*)$ index.php?path=$1 [L] It works as intended for everything except the root url with no slash. So it rewrites and passes the hidden get querystring to my pages for localhost/d/x/y/z as ?path=x/y/z and localhost/d/ as ?path= (blank) but... localhost/d works, but now appears in the address bar as this ugly monster: http://localhost/d/?path=/Users/audiozoom/Documents/webroot/d What could be the problem?

How to do similar thing on google app engine like cloud computing ?     Wonder if there is a parameter I can pass in mmysqldump equivalent for SQL Servery mysqldump that will make the incorrect "DROP TABLE IF EXISTS" statements into "DROP VIEW IF EXISTS", so that populating a database in an automated development environment refresh will work? Clarification, I'm getting DROP TABLE IF EXISTS statements in my .sql dump file even though they aren't tables. FYI: This is a Drupal site. The tables in question are ubercart meta statistics tables.

There are only a few areas of the site which will require the client to be able to update the content themselves. Would it be better to create a very simple custom admin page for the client to log in and say add a news story etc or would it be best using a fully fledged CMS like Drupal etc which seems overkill to me.

The problem i foresee is that when you update the plugin, the markup that you would have modified overwritten.     i wonder if large web applications like twitter and facebook have admin panels to handle CRUD for users, posts, images, themes and so on just like in CMS like drupal? so programmers have to code the front for the regular users AND back for the administrators? if i develop an web application is it recommended that i also code the admin part? or is it unnecessary since i can handle all directly in mysql and by editing php scripts directly? share your thoughts! thanks
