  • Spam is Killing Me - Can I use GMail as a spam filter?

    I'm getting at least 50 Viagra ads a day and it's driving me insane. I currently have a hosted MS Exchange account and a Gmail account. My Gmail account forwards to my Exchange account. Both of my addresses are used evenly, and it has been really nice to have all of my e-mail end up in my Exchange box. I like replying from one address consistently, which is my Exchange address. Spam sent to my Gmail address is always caught, where spam sent to my Exchange is getting passed straight through to me. I don't want to have two spam filtration systems that have quarantines that I need to check frequently for false positives. Here is my question: Can I setup my MX records such that all e-mail sent to my Exchange address is forwarded to my Gmail account, which will then forward it to my Exchange account? Kind of like using Gmail as the middle man.

But when i forward that. then all emails which i have forwarded are attached on the bottom to look likr long conversation and i had to click on top email to again forward to some one. Is there any way that i one email marked as Starred etc so that when i forward it , the forwarded message should not attach to that mail and that email stays only one so that it becomes easy for me to forward to other people

  • Shell script only executes partially when run with CRON

    I've written a shell script that does the following: Retrieve mail from a POP3 account (using GetMail) Save a copy of that email to S3 (using AWS CLI) Email me the filesize of the email The script runs fine manually, and technically runs from CRON, but it only seems to be sending the email. The getmail and S3 bits don't seem to run. Everything I've read seems to hammer home the message that I need to be careful about relative paths and the like when using CRON, but I think I'm using absolute paths everywhere I need to be, so I'm stumped as to what the issue could be.     Is there a difference between filter and exclude in django? If I have self.get_query_set().filter(modelField=x) and I want to add another criteria, is there a meaningful difference between to following two lines of code? self.get_query_set().filter(user__isnull=False, modelField=x) self.get_query_set().filter(modelField=x).exclude(user__isnull=True) is one considered better practice or are they the same in both function and performance?

I've downloaded the "better exposed filter" module to display it as checkbox list. a Now, how can I order the tags in the filter list ? "Views Sort" is not the solution because I only can order articles but not the filter items!! I want to add an option (checkbox) for the customer to order the tags alphabetically or leave them in the default order. thanks

    So, I have three arrays like this: [items] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [id] => someid [title] => sometitle [author] => someauthor ... ) ... ) and also a string with comma separated words to blacklist: $blacklist = "some,words,to,blacklist"; Now I need to match these words with (as they can be one of) id, title, author and show results accordingly. I was thinking of a function like this: $pattern = '('.strtr($blacklist, ",", "|").')'; // should return (some|words|etc) foreach ($items as $item) { if ( !preg_match($pattern,$item['id']) || !preg_match($pattern,$item['title']) || !preg_match($pattern,$item['author']) ) { // show item } } and I wonder if this is the most efficient way to filter the arrays or I should use something with strpos() or filter_var with FILTER_VALIDATE_REGEXP ...     Recently we experienced a sudden increase in spam reports, and all of them come from Yahoo email addresses. We see lots of registration confirmation email got marked as spam. We also saw people marking mails as spam and then opened it and clicked on the confirmation link. We send around 150 registration emails a day, and currently sees 2 spam reports from these per day. I have looked at tcpdf, fpdi but i dont think any of those scripts allow me to do this specifically as from what i heard it generates a download link for the user, and that is not what i need.
