• javax.naming.InvalidNameException using Oracle BPM and weblogic when accessing directory

  We are getting this exception when we start our cluster (2 managed servers, 1 admin), we have deployed only the ears corresponding to the OBPM 10.3.1 SP1 in a weblogic 10.3. When the server cluster starts, one of the managed servers (the first to start) get overloaded and ran out of connections to the directory DB because of this repeatedly error. It looks like the engine is trying to get the info from the LDAP server but I don't know why it is building a wrong query. fuego.directory.DirectoryRuntimeException: Exception • Coding solution to WAR installation error (Websphere Portal 6.0) ?

  I have a Websphere Portal application containing several portlets for which I'm currently working on some changes. A week ago, the WAR file produced by Rational Application Developer could be installed on the Portal server with no problems. Yesterday I made some seemingly minor changes to two JSP files and their associated "pagecode" Java files, and attempting to update the WAR on the server (using the Portal Administration web interface) now produces an error message. The WAR upload works, and the system shows me the correct list of portlets in the WAR file, but clicking "Finish" gives me a page with the error message "EJPAQ1319E: Cannot install the selected WAR file. View Details". Explanation: A portlet application containing legacy portlets can only be updated with another portlet application that contains legacy portlets. The same is true for standard portlet applications. User Response: Modify the portlet.xml of the application such that it matches the original API type, standard or legacy and try again. However, the "portlet.xml" file has not changed in about a month, and I've done several WAR updates for this application in that time with no problems. The problem seems to be caused by the code changes I did yesterday, but I have no clue why a few lines of code would do this. Any ideas?

• PHP script causes segmentation fault then the browser asks me to download the .php file with nothing in it?

  I've noticed an unusual problem with some of my php programs. Sometimes when visiting a page like profile.edit.php, the browser throws a dialogue box asking to download profile.edit.php page. When I download it, there's nothing in the file. profile.edit.php is supposed to be a web form that edits user information. I've noticed this on some of my other php pages as well. I look in my apache error logs, and I see a segmentation fault message: [Mon Mar 08 15:40:10 2010] [notice] child pid 480 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) And also, the issue may or may not appear depending on which server I deploy my application too. Additonal Details This doesn't happen all the time though. It only happens sometimes. For example, profile.edit.php will load properly. But as soon as I hit the save button (form action="profile.edit.php?save=true"), then the page asks me to download profile.edit.php. Could it be that sometimes my php scripts consume too much resources? Sample code Upon save action, my profile.edit.php includes a data_access_object.php file.   TL;DR - Is the immediate failure of a replacement battery, for a failed battery, on a battery backed accelerator for a Smart Array P400 controller a common occurrence? Or are we likely to have an storage controller with an impending and critical fault? We have a slightly confusing situation with a Smart Array P400 storage controller with the 512mb battery backed accelerator addon on an HP DL380 server. The storage controller is (afaik) running the latest firmware and driver: Model: Smart Array P400 Controller Status: OK Firmware Version: 7.24 Serial Number: *snip* Rebuild Priority: Medium Expand Priority: Medium Number Of Ports: 2 The storage diagnostic (both on the both boot-up screen for the controller and within the 'Management Homepage' and the 'HP Array Diagnostic Utility') recently starting showing the following status a fault for the battery for the accelerator: Accelerator Status: Temporarily Disabled Error Code: Cache Disabled Low Batteries Serial Number: *snip* Total Memory: 524288 KB Read Cache: 25% Write Cache: 75% Battery Status: Failed Read Errors: 0 Write Errors: 0 We replaced the battery with a new unit (a visual inspection of the P400 card showing nothing unusual) and saw the same fault - but expected this to disappear over the course of a few hours/days as it charged. This didn't happy, and the fault status remains the same as above. Given the battery is a genuine part from HP, I wouldn't have expected a replacement battery to fail straight away, or to be dead-on-arrival (is that naivety on my part?). Is the immediate failure of a replacement battery, for a failed battery, on a battery backed accelerator a common occurrence? Or are we likely to have an storage controller with an impending and critical fault? Is there any diagnostic that could tell me more about the failed battery, without cracking the server open again? • Need help with yum,python and php in CentOS. (I made a complete mess!)

  Hello, a while back I wanted to install some plugins for Trac but it required python 2.5 I tried installing it (I don't remember how) and the only thing I managed was to have two versions of python (2.4 and 2.5). Trac still uses the old version but the console uses 2.5 (python -V = Python 2.5.2). Anyway, the problem is not python, the problem is yum (which uses python). I am trying to upgrade my PHP version from 5.1.x to 5.2.x. • Telnet does not give a response

  Some wireless access points are acting a little weird, so I want to reboot them every couple of hours. Luckily there exists a security flaw which lets me login as root through telnet when using port 1111 (without username and password). Now I want to use that to let my QNAP NAS execute the reboot command through telnet every now and then. The problem is however that that telnet version doesn't give any response if I connect to the AP. The telnet I use on OSX works just fine but the one on the NAS not. BusyBox v1.01 (2012.06.14-18:35+0000) multi-call binary Usage: telnet [-a] [-l USER] HOST [PORT] When I execute telnet <HOST> 1111 nothing happens. I can send the escape character ^] which gives me the following options: Console escape. Commands are: l go to line mode c go to character mode z suspend telnet e exit telnet The only way to get some commands executed is by suspending telnet with z followed by some random command which isn't recognized. Then the prompt shows this: # telnet 192.168.1.5 1111 ^] Console escape. Commands are: l go to line mode c go to character mode z suspend telnet e exit telnet z continuing... asdf Illegal command. 00> After that I am able to communicate with the AP, but when I exit the telnet session and try the same again, the AP refuses to connect at all and it must be manually rebooted (looks like the telnet session isn't shut down properly on the AP). So the question is what commands should I execute in order to communicate with the AP using the Busybox telnet version of the QNAP? (No, can't use ssh unfortunately)

• SSH traffic over openvpn connection freezes when I cat a file

  I have an openvpn (version 2.1_rc15 at both ends) connection setup between two gentoo boxes using shared keys. it works fine for the most part. I use mysql, http, ftp, scp over the vpn with no problems. But when I ssh from the client to the server over the vpn, weird things happen. I can login, i can execute some commands. But if i try to run an ncurses application like top, or i try to cat a file, the connection will stall and I'll have to sever the ssh session. I can, for example, execute "echo blah; echo .; echo blah" and it will output the three lines of text over the ssh session fine. But if i execute "cat /etc/motd" the session will freeze the moment I press enter. I compiled openvpn 2.1.1 on my mac and copied over my config directory from my gentoo client. The mac connected and ssh sessions worked fine without freezing. I then compiled it on my older gentoo box (2.6.26 kernel) which I am retiring due to a dying hard drive, and ssh over it also works perfectly. Why does it fail on my brand new gentoo box ? I've tried compiling three different kernels in case it was that, but other than that there should be no difference between my older and my newer gentoo boxes that I can think of. Any suggestions on what's wrong ?

  I am very new to Oracle, and trying to restore a oracle 8i database on win 2000 server. I have one week old database backup (backup taken with exp command), and i want to restore it now. Now I am unable to login through sqlplus (got shutdown in progress error) I have a backup and i want to restore it, but oracle is not starting at all, and 'imp' command is failing.   Running Lighttpd on Linux, I would like to be able to execute Python scripts just the way I execute PHP scripts. The goal is to be able to execute arbitrary script files stored in the WWW directory, e.g. http://www.example.com/*.py. I would not like to spawn a new Python instance (interpreter) for every request (like done in regular CGI, if I'm not mistaken), which is why I'm using FastCGI. Following Lighttpd's documentation, the following is the FastCGI part of my config file. The problem is that it always runs the /usr/local/bin/python-fcgi script for every *.py file, regardless of the content of that file: http://www.example.com/script.py [output=>] "python-fcgi: test" (regardless of the content of script.py) I'm not interested in using any framework, but simply executing individual [web] scripts. The MD3600 has 2 RAID controllers, each has 2x 10GbE ethernet nics. There's nothing else on the switch; one VLAN for SAN traffic. Setting saved 5.Now in the jmeter, started the http proxy server. 6. Open a browser and hit the webpage needs to be tested. The page is not opened. In fact because of the changes made in browsers, no pages are opened. Whenever i try hitting a page, the pages are recorded in the Jmeter. but without the page open, how can i test.   I am very new to Oracle, and trying to restore a oracle 8i database on win 2000 server. I have one week old database backup (backup taken with exp command), and i want to restore it now. Now I am unable to login through sqlplus (got shutdown in progress error) I have a backup and i want to restore it, but oracle is not starting at all, and 'imp' command is failing. • Unable to create files in a directory

  I have created a directory in Virutalbox. Using VBoxManage, I am executing a script inside the Ubuntu VM directory I created above from Ubuntu host OS. But if the script in the VM contains commands for creating a new file, they are not executing. "echo" commands before and after the touch ommand are working fine. I even used root user for VBoxManage to install. I think the directory is not allowing the files to be created . How can I make a directory in Linux to be 777 to all new files created automatically. I mean, even if I make the directory (chmod 777 dir), I am unable to execute the script from the host. Please help. It may be simple permissions problem. Even root is unable to execute. However if I execute sudo bundle install, it spits out that it 'Could not find RubyGem bundler'. How can this be, why is the behaviour changing when using sudo? Thanks

They have an outer EAR project containing the inner WAR project. They discuss that this may be related to how jars end up in the projects. I use Maven, and I had set it to create "Skinny Wars", that is excluding all jar dependencies from the inner WAR project, so that it remains small in size. All its dependencies are contained in the EAR and are used by all other modules. I changed the settings of the maven-war-plugin to leave inside the war the web-specific jars (the ones mentioned in the link, like RichFaces, jboss-seam-debug, Facelets etc). I use a "Set role 'GRANTED_ROLE' identified by 'password'" statment and Cn.Execute statement to set up the user's access rights. This is all done in a Module. On a form, I want to call a Stored Procedure that will SELECT, INSERT and UPDATE information into another schema's tables. • Running multiprocess applications from MATLAB

  I've written a multitprocess application in VC++ and tried to execute it with command line arguments with the system command. It runs, but only on one core --- any suggestions? Update:In fact, it doesn't even see the second core. I used OpenMP and used omp_get_max_threads() and omp_get_thread_num() to check and omp_get_max_threads() seems to be 1 when I execute the application from MATLAB but it's 2 (as is expected) if I run it from the command window.

  I have some command-line commands to execute on a Windows machine. The programs I need to run are only available on Windows. Is there a way to easily to do something like I would do with SSH? Example of what I mean: ssh [email protected] "remote command to execute" ...or do I have to Remote Desktop just to do this? (I'd like to run the commands programmatically from another computer rather than running them by hand.)
