    Hello everyone in serverfault. I am having a big problem at my job. I will let everyone know what I am using. I have two ibm x3690 servers with vmware esxi on both. Our product server has 8 vm on there. I have two lefthand san from HP. I have a watchgurd firewall. Our other site. I have one server over there ibm x3b90 sever. with one vm on there. I have a cisco 1700 router. and another watchgurd firewall. I have a vpn tunnel to my watchgurd firewall, to my cisco router. Site one works great. site two is having problems saving word documents and having problems printing in publisher 2007. Can someone please help?

    Hi, In the weather.com site it has forecast for 10 days. For example, in this url: http://www.weather.com/weather/narrative/GRXX0004 I cannot seem to find a feed for that kind of data. Could I pull a feed for each one of those days? Is there something I am missing? How could I easily parse data for 10 days? Thank you!

And people with this title doesnt get the recognition they deserve. While most people at IT have some well defined job defitinitions. A web developer requires multiple skills. Like knowing a programming language, web security, etc. I was wondering what do you think about this issue? What skills does a web developer need? Where does his responsibilities start and end? etc.

  • Access to selection in gmail message body with Google Apps Script

    Can app scripts access the current selection in a gmail message? I frequently compose messages that include engineering calculations and make use of the Google Calc feature do the calculation or convert to the desired units, e.g. 4000 Btu/hr * 8 hrs in kWh It would be really convenient to be able to select the above, hit a mapped key (e.g. Ctrl-K) and have the inserted after the expression 4000 Btu/hr * 8 hrs in kWh = 0.9378 kWh instead of having to paste the expression into a search box and then copy and paste the answer. I could certainly write a solution using a keymapper and a small python script to grab the current selection, send it to the gcalc api, etc ..., but my real motivation is to get familiar with Apps Scripts's capabilities and limitations. I suppose the uber-question here is "what kinds of user actions and state information can App Script access in Gmail messages (and/or Google docs) that are being edited?"

    I need to migrate our Sherweb.com exchange 2007 services to a Google Apps account. For the process I am really not sure.. I understand I should start with creating aliases for all email accounts within the exchange server, in Google Apps, and here I'm not sure how am I supposed to explain the Exchange that the DNS have changed without losing emails.'' Second thing is: How can I safely move the up-to 3GB mailboxes from the Exchange server to the new Google Apps accounts? Must it be with Outlook data files? If so, how do I actually upload the data files into the Google Apps account? And if not, what would be a proper way to do so? Would really appreciate any kind of help.

We want to keep the same height width ratio if we can convert gif, bmp, jpg, png to one standard format it would be greate.   • Terminal Server 2008 - Slow File open dialog in Office 2003

    I have yet another small issue that annoys me everyday in our Terminal Server environment. It seems when logging into Terminal Server users report the initial File | Open or File | Save As from within an application such as Word, Excel (2003 edition) is very slow to display the actual dialog box. The dialog appears quickly but it is whited out (sometimes displays not responding in title bar) and unresponsive, it then sits like this for about 20-30 secs before popping into life and displaying all the folders etc. The second time you go to save or open a file it loads almost instantly. Any suggestions or similar problems out there?

    Hi, My application needs to serve images hosted in travelnow.com (ie. this image) but the application only allow images hosted on a secured server (ie. https). What are my options? TravelNow's suggestion is as follows. How do I do this? Akamai image servers are not secure. Therefore you are unable to serve any of the image urls with a secure HTTPS URL. If you need to serve an image with HTTPS, you must temporarily save the image to your own secure server. This is suggested only for images to be saved as you use them or need them temporarily on the secure page. The hotel images file available from the Affiliate Center provides up to 1.5 million URLs at any time for all properties storing images in the Akamai system. It is not recommended or advised to store all files in advance on your own system since properties change and update images frequently. Although we are not responsible for the images each property stores on the Akamai system, YOU will be responsible for any customer issues arising from displaying outdated or saved image files on your own pages.     So using Google Apps Scripts with a Form, I'm able to get all the items and iterate through them using the following: var form = FormApp.getActiveForm(); var items = form.getItems(); var item; for(var i = 0; i < items.length; i++) { item = items[i]; if(item.getType() == FormApp.ItemType.DATE) { item = item.asDateItem(); item.dropdown.month; // I need a method like this } Logger.log("ItemTitle: %s ItemType: %s",items[i].getTitle(), items[i].getType()) ; } I can even get the DateItem that I want. My issue is that I cannot get the dropdown boxes from the DateItem. Does anyone know how to get the dropdown boxes from the DateItem? (Like: item.dropdown.month or item.dropdown.day, etc).

    I'm very new to Version Control, and I was wondering if I could get some advice on how it can fit into website design. At the moment I'm working on a typical, simple website that includes images: A few .html files and a .css file One folder full of photographs Another folder with the corresponding thumbnails Can I just put the whole lot in a repository? Or is there a better way I could apply Version Control to it? How should I deal with the images? edit: How well will it work with changes to the images? What if I decide to try and optimise my photographs or resize them. I wont be able to see what exactly changed about the images, should comments be enough to keep track of that?
