  • Sources for news about network security

    - by chris.nullptr
I am a software developer that wants to stay up-to-date on network security news. What are some of the best sources online for not only keeping tabs on newly discovered security vulnerabilities that may affect projects I'm working on, but also best-practices when developing network software. Please keep in mind that I am looking for sources that cater to the software developer not IT administration.

  • Grails Navigation with Dynamic Values

    - by TripWired
I'm using the grails navigation plugin and one of the things i want to do is have the menu item have a dynamic number in it for example static navigation = [ group:'tabs', order:7, title:'Mail', action:'index', subItems: [ [action:'pending', order:1, title:"Pending"], [action:'active', order:10, title:'Active'], [action:'completed', order:11, title:'Completed'] ] ] So i want to figure out a way to make the title Mail(3) or Mail(2) based on the amount of messages a user has. I know this will have to be set in the method or by a service of some sort i'm just not sure how to get it to update.

  • how to draw <Bar> on each 4th space

    - by Milan Leszkow
I'd like (g)vim to draw pipe symbol '|' on each 4th space of indentation to show something like vertical indentation line. I found this plugin: http://vim.sourceforge.net/scripts/script.php?script_id=628 but it works only for 'tab'. I'm using spaces instead of the tabs. My .vimrc contains: set ts=4 set sw=4 set expandtab set softtabstop=4 Thanks for help

    - by 29er
Hey, I have an (Ext JS) tab panel where the hidden tabs aren't loaded at all upon initial instantiation, (the only thing I set is the title). Upon 'activation' of a tab I want to call a method , which then instanstiates a new FormPanel/GridPanel and put this content into the tab. Can someone point me to a code example or give me tips on how to do this?? Thanks so much!

  • wxpython - Nested Notebooks

    - by madtowneast
I have been trying to make my nested notebooks a little bit more appealing code wise. At the moment, I got this #!/usr/bin/env python import os import sys import datetime import numpy as np from readmonifile import MonitorFile from sortmonifile import sort import wx class NestedPanelOne(wx.Panel): #---------------------------------------------------------------------- # First notebook that creates the tab to select the component number #---------------------------------------------------------------------- def __init__(self, parent, label, data): wx.Panel.__init__(self, parent=parent, id=wx.ID_ANY) sizer = wx.BoxSizer(wx.VERTICAL) #Loop creating the tabs according to the component name nestedNotebook = wx.Notebook(self, wx.ID_ANY) for slabel in sorted(data[label].keys()): tab = NestedPanelTwo(nestedNotebook, label, slabel, data) nestedNotebook.AddPage(tab, slabel) sizer = wx.BoxSizer(wx.VERTICAL) sizer.Add(nestedNotebook, 1, wx.ALL|wx.EXPAND, 5) self.SetSizer(sizer) class NestedPanelTwo(wx.Panel): #------------------------------------------------------------------------------ # Second notebook that creates the tab to select the main monitoring variables #------------------------------------------------------------------------------ def __init__(self, parent, label, slabel, data): wx.Panel.__init__(self, parent=parent, id=wx.ID_ANY) sizer = wx.BoxSizer(wx.VERTICAL) nestedNotebook = wx.Notebook(self, wx.ID_ANY) for sslabel in sorted(data[label][slabel][data[label][slabel].keys()[0]].keys()): tab = NestedPanelThree(nestedNotebook, label, slabel, sslabel, data) nestedNotebook.AddPage(tab, sslabel) sizer.Add(nestedNotebook, 1, wx.ALL|wx.EXPAND, 5) self.SetSizer(sizer) class NestedPanelThree(wx.Panel): #------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Third notebook that creates checkboxes to select the monitoring sub-variables #------------------------------------------------------------------------------- def __init__(self, parent, label, slabel, sslabel, data): wx.Panel.__init__(self, parent=parent, id=wx.ID_ANY) labels=[] chbox =[] chboxdict={} for ssslabel in sorted(data[label][slabel][data[label][slabel].keys()[0]][sslabel].keys()): labels.append(ssslabel) for item in list(set(labels)): cb = wx.CheckBox(self, -1, item) chbox.append(cb) chboxdict[item]=cb gridSizer = wx.GridSizer(np.shape(list(set(labels)))[0],3, 5, 5) gridSizer.AddMany(chbox) self.SetSizer(gridSizer) ######################################################################## class NestedNotebookDemo(wx.Notebook): #--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Is there a way around this? Thanks a bunch in advance.

  • Is there an open source UITabbedView component available for the iPhone (iPad) SDK?

    - by smountcastle
Is there an open source UIView component that supports multiple, dynamic tabbed views for the iPhone (iPad) SDK? I see several apps in the iPad App Store which utilize tabs, one such example is the Atomic Web Browser which provides a tabbed browsing experience (like Safari on the Mac or Firefox). Instead of reinventing this functionality, I'd like to reuse an existing component.

  • Need "starting point" hints about adding "tabbed" interface to Django admin

    - by Edwin
Hi, I'm new to the web development world - that means I'm new to javaScript/CSS. Now I'm building a web system with Python Django. I'm wondering would you like to give me some hints as the starting point for adding "tabbed" interface to Django admin? For example, there are 3 detail table for a master table, and I want to use 3 different tabs for editing that 3 detail tables in the 'edit' page for the master table. Thank you in advance!

  • Styling buttons of Flex TabNavigator

    - by donpal
I created a TabNavigator with a bunch of NavigatorContent inside it, and want to skin just the buttons of the tabs themselves. So I added a skinClass, but looks like in the documentation, there's no skin part to target the button specifically. Do I have to style the mx:TabNavigator itself to accomplish this? I was hoping not since I don't know how to style mx components and am more comfortable with styling spark. Any other alternatives that I didn't think about?

  • Remove tabstop from ButtonColumn inside DataGrid

    - by Faruz
Is there any way to disable keyboard tabStop for a ButtonColumn inside a dataGrid? I want the buttons there to be only enabled through mouse-clicks, because sometimes the grid can be large and I want that pressing "tabs" will skip the grid and move to the other controls on the page.

  • ede-proj-regenerate does weird things with my Makefile

    - by Xavier Maillard
Hi, I have created a really basic project (Make) like this: (ede-proj-project "zrm" :name "zrm" :file "Project.ede" :targets (list (ede-proj-target-makefile-program "zm" :name "zrm" :path "" :source '("zrm.c") ) ) ) When doing M-x ede-proj-regenerate RET and M-x compile RET RET (accepting make -k as my compile command), make keeps bailing with a **missing separator error. When editing my Makefile outside of Emacs (with the darn evil vi) and replacing spaces by tabs, it works. Is there anything special I should pay attention in order to have this work ? Regards

  • How to recreate the UITabBarItem image filter?

    - by boliva
Hi, I'm writing a custom UITabBar replacement, and I would like to know how to recreate the filter that the built-in implementation does with the UITabBarItem image - that blue shining on selected tabs and gray gradient on unselected ones. I guess it's a matter of using the source image alpha value as a mask and overlay it with a pre-made blue (or whatever color) shining image and another one grayed out, but I would like to know what is the best approach from a code point of view. Best,

  • Mac text editor for Ruby on Rails

    - by kingjeffrey
My text editor of choice for PHP work is Panic's Coda. But for Ruby on Rails, it's autocomplete feature is continuously in my way and ROR's standardization on 2 space tabs does not play well with Coda's settings. I've been going back to TextMate for ROR work, but was wondering if there were better options.

  • Pin fogbugz tab in visual studio

    - by boris callens
The fogbugz plugin for visual studio opens up a tab right next to your regular code tabs with in it the fogbugz window. Tiny bit lame if you ask me, but I can accept that. Is there a way however to make that tab pinned? So I cannot accidently close it and it will stay the first tab at all times?

  • Remove leading whitespaces using variable length lookbehind in RegExp

    - by Shizhidi
Hello, I'm wondering if variable length lookbehind assertions are supported in JavaScript's RegExp engine? For example, I'm trying to match the string "variable length" in the string "[a lot of whitespaces and/or tabs]variable length lookbehind", and I have something like this but it does not go well in various RegExp testers: ^(?<=[ \t]+).+(?= lookbehind) If it's an illegal pattern, what would be a good workaround to it? Thanks!
