• fmod VS2008 unresolved externals in dependant project

  Im currently trying to use the latest stable fmod ex in my project. I have a main executable in a project called engine4, and a project named DX9Platform in the solution as well which ti depends on. All the fmod code is in this DX9Platform project, which generates a lib file. DX9Platform includes fmodex_vc.lib and builds fine. However buildign Engien4 results in unresolved external symbol messages referencing files that use fmod in the DX9Platform project I have tried adding fmodex_vc.lib to the Engine4 project, with no success, how do I fix this?   I have been getting the error "The required version of the .NET Framework is not installed on this computer." (Event Id 4096 in Event log) when trying to install a VSTO application from both a ClickOnce deployment and a local copy. This is interesting as the .NET framework is installed (on my 32bit Windows 7 PC) and the VSTO application was developed on the self same machine (and works in Visual Studio 2008). Does anybody has an idea why I could get this exception?   I'm trying to animate a view sliding into view and bouncing once it hits the side of the screen. A basic example of the slide I'm doing is as follows: // The view is added with a rect making it off screen. The problem is when more than one view is being animated, the bounce becomes jerky and, well, doesn't bounce anymore. Before I start reading up on how to do this in Core Animation, (I understand it's a little more difficult) I'd like to know if there is actually an advantage using Core Animation rather than UIView animations. If not, is there something I can do to improve performance?

  It could be a HTML question as well... I have a UIWebView with a page (from the hand made html string) loaded. For the url link on the page, if you tap on it, it has gray as background, which I think is the default behavior on iPhone. Is there a way to programmingly (thru javascript) change that to be other colors, say, blue? It doesn't seem to work for me anyhow.

  I've got a database change management workflow in place. It's based on SQL scripts (so, it's not a managed code-based solution). The basic setup looks like this: Initial/ Generate Initial Schema.sql Generate Initial Required Data.sql Generate Initial Test Data.sql Migration 0001_MigrationScriptForChangeOne.sql 0002_MigrationScriptForChangeTwo.sql ... The process to spin up a database is to then run all the Initlal scripts, and then run the sequential Migration scripts. A tool takes case of the versioning requirements, etc. My question is, in this kind of setup, is it useful to also maintain this: Current/ Stored Procedures/ dbo.MyStoredProcedureCreateScript.sql ... Tables/ dbo.MyTableCreateScript.sql ... ... By "this" I mean a directory of scripts (separated by object type) that represents the create scripts for spinning up the current/latest version of the database. For some reason, I really like the idea, but I can't concretely justify it's need. Am I missing something? The advantages would be: For dev and source control, we would have the same object-per-file setup that we're used to For deployment, we can spin up a new DB instance to the latest version either by running the Initial+Migrate, or by running the scripts from Current/ For dev, we do not need a DB instance running in order to do development. We can do "offline" development on the Current/ folder. The disadvantages would be: For each change, we need to update the scripts in the Current/ folder, as well as create a Migration script (in the Migration/ folder) Thanks in advance for any input!

It works as it should, but as soon as I get modelstate errors my ValidationSummary does not show. The JSON only return the default form but it does not highlight the validation errors or show the validation summary. Am I missing something? This module uses the following library: library hwicap_v5_00_a; use hwicap_v5_00_a.all; I was looking in the directories as well as subdirectories of Xilinx\12.1\ISE_DS\EDK\hw\XilinxProcessorIPLib\pcores but I could not find the package declaration of hwicap. • codeigniter & cjax framework, fatal error class 'CI_Controller' not found

  I'm having this weird error with Codeigniter 2.1.3 and latest cjax for codeigniter. Weird thing is, when I download the latest codeigniter, and latest cjax framework for codeitniger and copy to my friends server, and call: domain.com/ajax.php?test/test2 to show the test ajax examples ... it works like a breeze, but when I do this on my server, I get server error (even tho, we both have same php version and such). Server then throws in error log file this error: PHP Fatal error: Class 'CI_Controller' not found in /hosting/www/domain.com/www/application/response/test.php on line 3 Now, I've read thru stackoverflow with people having this problem and solving by changing the construct and calling CI_Controller instead of Controller. But I already do that ... - I mean it's in the basic example that is suppose to work without touching the code, and it does, just not on my domain for some crappy reason.   Hi, Can anyone tell me where/how to customise the CSRF token error message for forms in Symfony 1.4. I'm using sfDoctrineGuard for logins and in this form particularly, whenever a session runs out and you still have the page open, it throws a very user-unfriendly error: "CSRF attack detected". Something like "This session has expired. Please return to the home page and try again" sounds better. What's the right way to do this in the form class? Thanks.

• std::iostream link error vs2010 rc1

  I'm converting a project from vs2008 to vs2010 and getting linker errors for std:ifstream/ofstream error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "__declspec(dllimport) public: bool __thiscall std::basic_ofstream<char,struct std::char_traits<char> >::is_open(void)const " (__imp_?is_open@?$basic_ofstream@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@@std@@QBE_NXZ) Building static (/MT) or dll (/MD) with unicode or standard and release/debug gives the same error. Manually adding libcpmtd.lib (static) or msvcprtd.lib (dll) to the linker doesn't help. Has anyone else seen this?

• What is the leading LINQ for JavaScript library?

  I'm looking for a JavaScript library that will allow me to query complex JSON objects using a LINQ-like syntax. A quick search found a couple of promising options that look they might offer what I need: LINQ to JavaScript and jLinq Does any one have any experience using them? What are some pros and cons? Is the performance comparable? Does the function-passing syntax of LINQ to JavaScript offer any hidden benefits (I personally find the syntax of jLinq more appealing on first glance)? What have you found lacking in either project? Did you ever try contacting the authors? How responsive were they? What project is more widely used?
