  • How can I redirect any kind of access to my site to somewhere else, except for me?

    My site, www.example.com has a MyBB forum installation, and has many users constantly checking it out. I would like to make a major change to it - basically, I want to delete everything it has and start clean. However, this rebuilding process may take me hours since I need to do a lot of things. Thus, whenever an user tries to enter any part of my site (www.example.com, www.example.com/blog etc), the user will always be redirected to www.example.com/underconstruction so they can see a nice HTML site explaining the current situation. But not only that - while I am configuring my site, I need to visit it myself to make sure things do work live. So basically, it has to redirect everyone who isn't me. Is that possible in any way? I am using GoDaddy hosting.

  • JMeter: how to asign a single distinct value from CSV Data Set Config to each thread in thread group?

    I have to make a load test for a relatively large number of users so I cant realy use User Parameters pre-processor to parametrize each thread with custom user data. I've read that I should use CSV Data Set Config instead. However I run into a problem with how JMeter interprets the input of this Config. Example: I have a thread group of 3 threads and Loop Count:10 with one HTTP request sampler with server www.example.com and path: \${user}. The csv file (bullet is a single line in file) for CSV Data Set Config to extract the user parameter: 1 2 3 4 5 Expected output is that for thread 1-x the path of the request should be: \x. So the output file should consist of 10 samples per thread namely: for thread 1-1 : 10 requests to www.example.com\1 for thread 1-2 : 10 requests to www.example.com\2 for thread 1-3 : 10 requests to www.example.com\3 but instead i get requests to each \1 - \5 and then to EOF. Does anyone know how to achieve the expected effect with CSV Data Set Config in jmeter 2.9?

    I'm working on WampServer for development, I've set up the domain tuniguide.local and it works fine with this configuration: DocumentRoot "D:\www\tuniguide" ServerName tuniguide.local But when I wanted to add a subdomain fr.tuniguide.local I get a 404 Not Found with this configuration: DocumentRoot "D:\www\tuniguide\fr" ServerName fr.tuniguide.local It gives me this message: The requested URL /www/tuniguide/index.php was not found on this server. Is there someting that I missed? Thanks.

  • Reverse Proxy (mod_rewrite) and Rails (absolute paths)

    I have front end rails app, that reverse proxies to any of a number of backend rails apps depending on URL, for example http://www.my_host.com/app_one reverse proxies to http://www.remote_host_running_app_one.com such that a URL like http://www.my_host.com/app_one/users will display the contents of http://www.remote_host_running_app_one.com/users I have a large, and ever expanding number of backends, so they can not be explicitly listed anywhere other than a database. This is no problem for mod_rewrite using a prg:/ rewrite map reverse proxy. The question is, the urls returned by rails helpers have the form /controller/action making them absolute to the root. This is a problem for the page served by mod_rewrite because links on the proxied page appear as absolute to the domain. i.e.: http://www.my_host.com/app_one/controller/action has links that end up looking like /controller/action/ when they need to look like /app_one/controller/action mod_proxy_html seems like the right idea, but it doesn't seem to be as dynamic as I would need, since the rules need to be hard coded into the config files. Is there a way to fix this server-side, so that the links will be routed correctly?

    Our company has developed a Single Page Application using AngularJS and its routing. Google indexed our site decently with JavaScript but it did not index some pages very well so we have developed an HTML only version. We have followed the Ajax Crawling Specification posted here and have a <meta name='fragment' content='!'> tag and canonical urls. We expect http://www.example.com/foo/bar to be fetched from http://www.example.com/?_escaped_fragment_=/foo/bar. However, we have found out that when we rolled the AJAX specification we now have all pages indexed twice, once with the JavaScript version as http://www.example.com/foo/bar and once with the new version as http://www.example.com/#!/foo/bar. This is harmful to us since it's duplicate content and also mis-representing out site. I have tried looking for similar questions here and in the Google product forum but could not come up with anything.

  • Can't Make Changes via FTP on my Ubuntu Server

    I'm very new to server management, I literally just set this up for the first time a couple weeks ago, no idea what I'm doing. In order to allow WordPress to run updates, apparently everything needs to be owned by www-data, but if everything is owned by www-data, I can't FTP with the user revxx14. When I try, I can't make any changes (deletions, additions, updating files, nothing. I get permission denied errors across the board). Is there a way to give my user the same permissions as www-data, so that I'll be able to keep www-data the owner, but still be able to make changes via FTP? Thanks.

    Possible Duplicate: Does it make a difference if your url ends in a trailing slash or not? Why treat these as different URLs? I am doing a 301 redirect in my WP application using .htaccess and have mapped some of the URLs which have either been removed from the new domain or the URL structure has been changed. While doing I got a doubt I have following URL structure in my .htaccess file RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^old.com$ [OR] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.old.com$ RewriteRule ^tag/waiting$ http://www.new.com/tag/relationships [R=301,L] while checking this i found that at some places URL is like http://www.new.com/tag/relationships while at others its like http://www.new.com/tag/relationships/, while both refer to the same location but not sure if this will make any difference to SEO and search engines. Please suggest if the way i am doing mapping is correct or do i need to modify it to handle both UR

I have php and the file to be written both under www-data now, so why would there be any permission problem? Please help

    I'm Trying to migrate from spring framework 3.0.5 to 3.1 and spring-security 3.0.5 to 3.1 (not to mention hibernate 3.6 to 4.1). Using Apache IVY.     This is weird, the site in question is blog.andrebatista.info and it is a hosted at blogger.com. I'm trying to make the blogger template look the same as the one in my main website, www.andrebatista.info. For some reason if I go directly to the blog address Chrome and Safari fail to display all of my background images... all of them. However if I first go to www.andrebatista.info first and then go to the blog it renders just fine ?¿ The way I'm customizing it is by adding a link to my main site's stylesheet at the very end of the head tag on the blogger template. I am getting these in my log: [INFO] Oct 24, 2013 1:54:18 AM com.google.appengine.tools.development.LocalResourceFileServlet doGet [INFO] WARNING: No file found for: /soundmails/test I tried /soundmails/soundmails/test as well. That is also giving the same error. I am using Spring 3.1.0.RELEASE Can someone help me figure out what I am missing - /soundmails/test is giving 404 error. Edit I am unable to enable DEBUG logs for this. For some reason, it is not taking log level configured in logging.properties But I observed something interesting: 1) If I map the request to empty string (value = "") @RequestMapping(value="", method=RequestMethod.GET) public @ResponseBody String test() { System.out.println("Hai"); return "Hai"; } Then, when I try to access 127.0.0.1/soundmails, it works fine (returns string "Hai"). 2) When I have value="/test" @RequestMapping(value="/test", method=RequestMethod.GET) public @ResponseBody String test() { System.out.println("Hai"); return "Hai"; } and I try to access 127.0.0.1/soundmails/test, it is giving HTTP 404. This is weird.

    Hi, I'm trying to use an application which uses cxf-jaxws in bean definition: <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:sec="http://cxf.apache.org/configuration/security" xmlns:jaxws="http://cxf.apache.org/jaxws" xmlns:util="http://www.springframework.org/schema/util" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.0.xsd http://cxf.apache.org/configuration/security http://cxf.apache.org/schemas/configuration/security.xsd http://cxf.apache.org/jaxws http://cxf.apache.org/schemas/jaxws.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/util http://www.springframework.org/schema/util/spring-util-2.0.xsd"> however in combination with the jetty from gwt 2.0 development shell my context doesn't load and I get this exception: org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoader: Context initialization failed org.springframework.beans.factory.parsing.BeanDefinitionParsingException: Configuration problem: Unable to locate Spring NamespaceHandler for XML schema namespace [http://cxf.apache.org/jaxws] enter code hereOffending resource: class path resource [bean_definition.xml] My project is maven-based and I got cxf-rt-frontend-jaxws which contains the namespacehandler and spring.handlers on the classpath. I added cxf-transports-http-jetty.jar as well. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem and found a solution? It seems to be a classpath issue, added the cxf-rt-frontend-jaxws.jar by hand and it works... Somehow the maven dependency doesn't get added to the classpath. Thanks in advance, karl
