  • auto indent in vim string replacement new line?

    I'm using the following command to auto replace some code (adding a new code segment after an existing segment) %s/my_pattern/\0, \r some_other_text_i_want_to_insert/ The problem is that with the \r, some_other_text_i_want_to_insert gets inserted right after the new line: mycode( some_random_text my_pattern ) would become mycode( some_random_text my_pattern some_other_text_i_want_to_insert <--- this line is NOT indented ) instead of mycode( some_random_text my_pattern some_other_text_i_want_to_insert <--- this line is now indented ) i.e. the new inserted line is not indented. Is there any option in vim or trick that I can make the newly inserted line indented? Thanks.

    I have a Ubuntu Server. From the terminal, how should I install JDK? In this guide it says to use this command: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk But on Suns website, it says JDK includes the JRE, so why the JRE in the line above? Anybody know how to actually install Java? Every guide and every forum shows different ways of doing it. BTW: It is a VPS (virtual private server) Thanks

  • How can a 1Gb Java heap on a 64bit machine use 3Gb of VIRT space?

    I run the same process on a 32bit machine as on a 64bit machine with the same memory VM settings (-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m) and similar VM version (1.6.0_05 vs 1.6.0_16). However the virtual space used by the 64bit machine (as shown in top under "VIRT") is almost three times as big as that in 32bit! I know 64bit VMs will use a little more memory for the larger references, but how can it be three times as big? Am I reading VIRT in top incorrectly? Full data shown below, showing top and then the result of jmap -heap, first for 64bit, then for 32bit.     Hi, I am using xdebug plugin for vim. After making few changes i was able to run debugger but not able to set breakpoints. So, I enabled xdebug.remote_log and below is the log statements corresponding to setting breakpoint. <- breakpoint_set -i 5 -t line -f file:///C:\htdocs\testLocal.php -n 36 - Its issuing request to debugger in proper format only but no idea why debugger is returning "command is not avilable". Please let me know if anything is wrong.

    Hi, I'm getting the following error when trying to compile OpenSSL 1.0, 64 bit: ias -o tmp32\ia64cpuid.obj tmp32\ia64cpuid.asm 'ias' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'ias' : return code '0x1' Stop. Does someone know what can I do? (I do it on Windows 2008 x64 OS) Thanks.

    I'm sure this is an issue anyone who uses Stata for publications or reports has run into: how do you conveniently export your output to something that can be parsed by a scripting language or Excel? There are a few ADO files that to this for specific commands (try findit tabout or findit outreg2). But what about exporting the output of the table command? Or the results of an anova? I'd love to hear about how Stata users address this problem for either specific commands or in general.

    I have small question about pdp-11(simulator), I have this command (it begins from the address 1000) add 2500, #2500 and this initial list: register/address - initial value pc 1000 sp 600 2500 3000 and I want to know how this small snippet exactly runs, in my booklet I found that: firstly it reads inforamtion from the address 1000, inside this address we have value 066727, after we read number from the address 1002, AND VALUE MUST BE 2500(because of add 2500, #2500), but in my booklet I have 1474 without any explanations why, I know that I have here relative addressing mode, but why 1474 inside the address 1002 and not 2500, thanks in advance for any help

How to continue execution after running this script.     Whenever we make a release of a project we'll create a tag to capture the snapshot. It will be very helpful to be able to see which revisions in the trunk history were used in certain releases. I know the TortoiseSVN revision graph shows this information, but I'm wondering if there's a way to see it in the command-line svn log? I'm coming from a Clearcase background where we'll be able to see the release labels in the history.

Basically I need to retrieve from 'ps aux' command the total of memory usage for each user and format like this: User Total%Mem user1 3.4% user2 1.5% and so on.     We have a setup project that produces an uncompressed MSI file and no Setup.exe at all, to be later compressed by NSIS. In a special build setting, I want to copy that MSI before it's being wrapped by NSIS, change the copy, and keep it. I would also like to compress it, after it has been created by the msbuild. Is there a simple way (command line tool of some kind, maybe?) I can use to just compress an already created msi file?

And when I run this outside of NetBeans using the command line argument that it provides once built, these errors are not produced Is this a bug with Netbeans?
