• IIS, Impersonation and COM Interop Premission Denied

  Hello we are in the throws of integrating a Document Management System with Dynamic CRM 4, have done similar things previously but in this instance we are having to reference a COM dll. We've configured the asp.net page (we are bringing the info in via a i-Frame in CRM), setting Impersonation = True in the Webconfig and ensured that Windows authentication is the only method available within IIS. All works as we would expect when logged into the server itself and the page happily does off finds all the relevant documents for the CRM account and presents them to a user in a nice Infragistics CRM styled grid. However trying this from a client workstation we get the following: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC0042335): Permission denied. Impersonation appears to be passing over the correct details but nothing we've tried thus far has been able to make this work outside of logging into the server. Any thoughts as to what we are missing?

• Regex to match the first file in a rar archive file set in Python

  I need to uncompress all the files in a directory and for this I need to find the first file in the set. I'm currently doing this using a bunch of if statements and loops. Can i do this this using regex? Here's a list of files that i need to match: yes.rar yes.part1.rar yes.part01.rar yes.part001.rar yes.r01 yes.r001 These should NOT be matched: no.part2.rar no.part02.rar no.part002.rar no.part011.rar no.r002 no.r02 I found a similar regex on this thread but it seems that Python doesn't support varible length lookarounds. A single line regex would be complicated but I'll document it well and it's not a problem. It's just one of those problems you beat your heap up, over. Thanks in advance guys. :)

  I am using the editArea library and jquery to do what i need... http://www.cdolivet.com/index.php?page=editArea&sess=2b8243f679e0d472397bfa959e1d3841 so in my html there is an iframe tag that editArea uses what i need is to access something like so with jquery $('iframe textarea').keydown(function (e){ number = 17; //any number really :) if(e.which == number){ //do something... alert('Done...'); } }); I tried the above but it looks like it is not detecting that key. but it works if selector was $(document) therefore the rest of the function works it's just it's not picking up the iframes textarea keydown any ideas? • ACORD LOMA Session Highlights Policy Administration Trends

  Helen Pitts, senior product marketing manager for Oracle Insurance, attended and is blogging from the ACORD LOMA Insurance Forum this week. Above: Paul Vancheri, Chief Information Officer, Fidelity Investments Life Insurance Company. Vancheri gave a presentation during the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum about the key elements of modern policy administration systems and how insurers can mitigate risk during legacy system migrations to safely introduce new technologies. When I had a few particularly challenging honors courses in college my father, a long-time technology industry veteran, used to say, "If you don't know how to do something go ask the experts. Find someone who has been there and done that, don't be afraid to ask the tough questions, and apply and build upon what you learn." (Actually he still offers this same advice today.) That's probably why my favorite sessions at industry events, like the ACORD LOMA Insurance Forum this week, are those that include insight on industry trends and case studies from carriers who share their experiences and offer best practices based upon their own lessons learned. I had the opportunity to attend a particularly insightful session Wednesday as Craig Weber, senior vice president of Celent's Insurance practice, and Paul Vancheri, CIO of Fidelity Life Investments, presented, "Managing the Dynamic Insurance Landscape: Enabling Growth and Profitability with a Modern Policy Administration System." Policy Administration Trends Growing the business is the top issue when it comes to IT among both life and annuity and property and casualty carriers according to Weber. To drive growth and capture market share from competitors, carriers are looking to modernize their core insurance systems, with 65 percent of those CIOs participating in recent Celent research citing plans to replace their policy administration systems. Weber noted that there has been continued focus and investment, particularly in the last three years, by software and technology vendors to offer modern, rules-based, configurable policy administration solutions. He added that these solutions are continuing to evolve with the ongoing aim of helping carriers rapidly meet shifting business needs--whether it is to launch new products to market faster than the competition, adapt existing products to meet shifting consumer and /or regulatory demands, or to exit unprofitable markets. He closed by noting the top four trends for policy administration either in the process of being adopted today or on the not-so-distant horizon for the future: Underwriting and service desktops New business automation Convergence of ultra-configurable and domain content-rich systems Better usability and screen design Mitigating the Risk When Making the Decision to Modernize Third-party analyst research from advisory firms like Celent was a key part of the due diligence process for Fidelity as it sought a replacement for its legacy policy administration system back in 2005, according to Vancheri. The company's business opportunities were outrunning system capability. Its legacy system had not been upgraded in several years and was deficient from a functionality and currency standpoint. This was constraining the carrier's ability to rapidly configure and bring new and complex products to market. The company sought a new, modern policy administration system, one that would enable it to keep pace with rapid and often unexpected industry changes and ahead of the competition. A cross-functional team that included representatives from finance, actuarial, operations, client services and IT conducted an extensive selection process. This process included deep documentation review, pilot evaluations, demonstrations of required functionality and complex problem-solving, infrastructure integration capability, and the ability to meet the company's desired cost model. The company ultimately selected an adaptive policy administration system that met its requirements to: Deliver ease of use - eliminating paper and rework, while easing the burden on representatives to sell and service annuities Provide customer parity - offering Web-based capabilities in alignment with the company's focus on delivering a consistent customer experience across its business Deliver scalability, efficiency - enabling automation, while simplifying and standardizing systems across its technology stack Offer desired functionality - supporting Fidelity's product configuration / rules management philosophy, focus on customer service and technology upgrade requirements Meet cost requirements - including implementation, professional services and licenses fees and ongoing maintenance Deliver upon business requirements - enabling the ability to drive time to market for new products and flexibility to make changes Best Practices for Addressing Implementation Challenges Based upon lessons learned during the company's implementation, Vancheri advised carriers to evaluate staffing capabilities and cultural impacts, review business requirements to avoid rebuilding legacy processes, factor in dependent systems, and review policies and practices to secure customer data. His formula for success: upfront planning + clear requirements = precision execution. Achieving a Return on Investment Vancheri said the decision to replace their legacy policy administration system and deploy a modern, rules-based system--before the economic downturn occurred--has been integral in helping the company adapt to shifting market conditions, while enabling growth in its direct channel sales of variable annuities. Since deploying its new policy admin system, the company has reduced its average time to market for new products from 12-15 months to 4.5 months. The company has since migrated its other products to the new system and retired its legacy system, significantly decreasing its overall product development cycle. From a processing standpoint Vancheri noted the company has achieved gains in automation, information, and ease of use, resulting in improved real-time data edits, controls for better quality, and tax handling capability. Plus, with by having only one platform to manage, the company has simplified its IT environment and is well positioned to deliver system enhancements for greater efficiencies. Commitment to Continuing the Investment In the short and longer term future Vancheri said the company plans to enhance business functionality to support money movement, wire automation, divorce processing on payout contracts and cost-based tracking improvements. It also plans to continue system upgrades to remain current as well as focus on further reducing cycle time, driving down maintenance costs, and integrating with other products.   Hi. First of all, sorry for bad English. It's about C++ and Qt. I have a SQLite-Database and I did it into a QSqlTableModel. To show the Database, I put that Model into a QTableView. Now I want to create a Method where the selected Rows (or the whole Line) will be copied into the QClipboard. After that I want to insert it into my OpenOffice.Calc-Document. But I have no Idea what to do with the "Selected"-SIGNAL and the QModelIndex and how to put this into the Clipboard. So can you please help me? Berschi

  hi all, i am using zend_pdf to create pdf files for Ritgh to left language as arabic or east asia langauges i use of this code $pdfDoc = new Zend_Pdf(); $pdfPage = $pdfDoc->newPage(Zend_Pdf_Page::SIZE_A4); $font = Zend_Pdf_Font::fontWithPath(APPLICATION_PATH.'/Fonts/arial.ttf'); $pdfPage->setFont($font, 36); $pdfDoc->pages[] = $pdfPage; $unicodeString = '????'; $pdfPage->drawText($unicodeString, 72, 720, 'UTF-8'); $pdfDoc->save('utf8.pdf'); but there are two problem 1- how can i change document's direction to right to left ? 2- characters are separated one by one. but in some laguages characters of a word are joint together. any idea? or i may use tcpdf? thanks

I am outputting information from a local XML file, but the description elements is not being output because it is enclosed in CDATA - if I remove the CDATA portion then things work fine. There must be some conventions that help in better tracking of the issue. For instance, Logging work, Linking issues, creating sub-tasks. It would be of help if you can share some of the features (and the conventions) that you follow while using Jira. • Can JAXB Incrementally Marshall An Object?

  I've got a fairly simple, but potentially large structure to serialize. Basically the structure of the XML will be: <simple_wrapper> <main_object_type> <sub_objects> </main_object_type> ... main_object_type repeats up to 5,000 times </simple_wrapper> The main_object_type can have a significant amount of data. On my first 3,500 record extract, I had to give the JVM way more memory than it should need. So, I'd like to write out to disk after each (or a bunch of) main_object_type. I know that setting Marshaller.JAXB_FRAGMENT would allow it fragments, but I loose the outer xml document tags and the <simple_wrapper>. Any suggestions?

• Best way to implement a Parsing/Editable Richtextbox in WPF

  I'm trying to implement (as a prototype initially), a richtextbox control which can be parsed in real time to apply certain formatting options to it. This is being done in WPF so I thought the best way to go about it would be to extend the existing rich text box control. I've run into the issue where it isn't documented well and the examples are quite slow (the ones I found have parse the whole document on every keystroke). The way I've currently decided to go about it is to create a custom Inline element which can hold the formatting tags, and the contents. Hence I only have to parse the current paragraph and the runs in that paragraph for formatting tags. Is there a better way to achieve this? Note this isn't for code/syntax based documents (so AvalonEdit isn't appropriate). Cheers

  I tried drag and drop from the explorer, but no luck with following error: "Folders cannot be dropped or pasted as solution items. Choose an individual document instead." I know we can create each folders/subfolders manually and add each file, but any quick way to do this on visual studio 2005? Updated: Thank you for the reply, but I do not want the folders to be added under any project, It should appear as a separate node inside my solution, like any other project. In this case the show all files does not work, since the solution itself does not have any folder, it is only if we select any project it works. I know we can create each folders/subfolders manually and add each file, but any quick way, because there are few hundreds of files.

• Parse HTML file to grab all ID and Classes for a CSS file

  Hey all, A short while ago, I'm fairly certain I came across an application (or perhaps a plugin for Coda - the IDE I use) which quickly parses a html document and then spits out all of the elements with IDs and Classes for me to use in a CSS file. Having fully 'got into' zen coding - using the wonderful TEA plugin for Coda, I'm now hot on the heels of this app/plugin again. I've tried and failed miserably at hunting through Google, but have come up completely empty handed. Does anyone know of anything which can do this? Happy New Year everyone!

• Special case when calling InvokeScript with the winforms WebBrowser control does not work

  I am trying to use InvokeScript method on the WebBrowser control to execute a script on the web page that has been loaded into my WebBrowser control. If I am calling just a simple javascript function, this works properly. However, the javascript function that I am trying to call is nested within a variable like this: var holder = { DoA: function() { .... }, DoB: function() { ..... } } Calling holder.DoA works fine when called from within the javascript, but the function is not called successfully when I try to call it from within my C# code like this: object obj1 = m_webBrowser.Document.InvokeScript("holder.DoA"); Any ideas?

  I've read a lot about IBugTraqProvider interface and implementing an issue tracker into the commit dialog of TortoiseSVN. IBugTraqProvider is written here. Is there a more simpler way not to do it, building the plug-in and installing it on TortoiseSVN. The Document is not that clear that a developer can create its own plugin. I'm working with SalesForce as the Issue Tracker, and retrieved the WSDL file to integrate with the Working Items. Now I need to know how to connect it to TortoiseSVN. Please any suggestions?

  I need to do a cross-domain request in a chrome extension. I know I can it via message passing but I'd rather stick to just jQuery idioms (so my javascript can also work as a <script src="">). I do the normal: $.getJSON("http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=cat&tagmode=any&format=json&jsoncallback=?", callback(function(data) { alert(data); }); but in the error console I see: Uncaught ReferenceError: jsonp1271044791817 is not defined Is jQuery not inserting the callback function correctly into the document? What can I do to make this work?

• Execute a function when a <link> element has finished loading

  I'm using jQuery Masonry to lay out my page, but I'm using a custom @font-face font. The problem being that Masonry doesn't know the metrics of the font until it's loaded. The Masonry docs suggest that you use $(window).load() instead of $(document).ready() to call the layout functions, but I don't want to have to wait until all the images etc. load. I can specify the dimensions of the images exactly, so Masonry doesn't need to wait until they're loaded. It's just the text that's the problem. How can I get jQuery to call a callback when the <link> element that links in the font finishes loading?

  How do you add spacing after an \hline in a tabular? I can add spacing before it using \vspace, however if I try to add spacing after the \hline, the spacing will come after the next line of text. Here is what I have so far: \multicolumn{2}{Hello!} \vspace{4pt} \\ \hline \textit{Hi!} & \textit{Ho!} I don't want to add a line break after the \hline and do something like \vspace{-xxpt} or use \rule because the generated HTML document from Hevea will be ugly.

• jQuery: how to produce a ProgressBar from given markup

  So I'm using the ProgressBar JQuery plugin (http://t.wits.sg/misc/jQueryProgressBar/demo.php) to create some static progress bars. What I want to achieve is to from this markup: <span class="progress-bar">10 / 100</span> produce a progress bar with maximum value of 100 and current value of 10. I am using html() method to get the contents of the span and then split() to get the two numbers: $(document).ready(function() { $(".progress-bar").progressBar($(this).html().split(' / ')[0], { max: $(this).html().split(' / ')[1], textFormat: 'fraction' }); }); That doesn't work, any suggestions? I'm pretty sure the problem is with $(this).html().split(' / ')[0] and $(this).html().split(' / ')[1], is that a correct syntax?
