• how to trigger notification from other framework in atmosphere (comet)?

  basically i have read some samples, but all are self contained in one servlet. such as: use doGet to establish the long polling connection, and then use doPost to trigger the event to notify all suspended connections. Here is my question: I have other web actions programming in spring mvc, in the spring mvc controller a user post a message via /message/post, how can I make this action to trigger the atmosphere handler to notify the suspended connections?

  I have been programming for about 10 years: 7 years C++, 3 years MFC, 2 JSP/Servlets, and the last year .NET (since there was some overlap the total won't add up). The problem is now that I am looking for a new job, I don't know what the latest thing is in C++ AND Java AND .NET AND MFC and somehow at interviews I am expected to KNOW everything about these topics because I have them listed on my resume.   PHP is just awful but atm the only cheap server technology available. If you want free hosting you are stuck with php. If you want cheap hosting too. Windows hosting is like 3x the pice. It's amazing how much effort people put into executing a task in php while they could this 10 times faster and better with a real language/server platform (asp.net). Just my 2 cents.
