  • Special Characters in JS, how to use "/" character

    I've vbulletin 4.2.0 i added an special button to it's editor with this article; http://www.vbulletinguru.com/2012/add-a-new-toolbar-button-to-ckeditor-tutorial/ The thing i want to do is add an syntax highlighter code with this button. When i use below code it's working fine; CKEDITOR.plugins.add( 'YourPluginName', { init: function( editor ) { editor.addCommand( 'SayHello', { exec : function( editor ) { editor.insertHtml( "Hello from my plugin" ); } }); editor.ui.addButton( 'YourPluginName', { label: 'My Button Tooltip', command: 'SayHello', icon: this.path + 'YourPluginImage.png' } ); } } ); so i changed this code to this, because i wannt to add specific text like below; CKEDITOR.plugins.add( 'DKODU', { init: function( editor ) { editor.addCommand( 'SayHello', { exec : function( editor ) { editor.insertHtml( '[kod=delphi][/kod]' ); } }); editor.ui.addButton( 'DKODU', { label: 'My Button Tooltip', command: 'SayHello', icon: this.path + 'star.png' } ); } } ); after update the code when i press the button nothings happen, i checked with google and this site but i couldn't figure it out i think i made mistake with some special characters but i couldn't find what's the problem.   • returning JSON response to a ajax call prompts file download containing the response

    i am submitting a from using jQuery ajax, and server is returning json response. but instead of the script, parsing the json result, the browser is prompting me to download the json response. I have had this problem before, where i forgot to return false at the end of the event handler. But this time im clueless why this is happening. anyone has experienced this problem.. thanks

Say, <div id="parent"> <div id="child1"> </div> <div id="child1"> </div> <div id="child2"> </div> <div id="child1"> </div> <div id="child1"> </div> </div> If I'm currently at the last 'child1', how dow I get to the top most child1 with prev()? For me it breaks when it reaches 'child2'.

How can I set all of the href values with that ID?

    Hi, I have a input box on one page that on submit opens a new page with a longer form and the first field is populated with what was entered from the previous pages input box.   • Submit button on nested form submits the outer form in IE7

    I have the following code on my Home.aspx page: <form id="frmJump" method="post" action="Views/ViewsHome.aspx"> <input name="JumpProject" /><input type="submit" value="Go" /> </form> However, when I click the "Go" button, the page posts back to Home.aspx rather than going to ViewsHome.aspx. I even tried adding some script to force the form to submit: <input name="JumpProject" onkeypress="if(event.keyCode == 13) { this.form.submit(); return false; }" /> But still even if I press ENTER, the Home.aspx page is reloaded. The only thing I can see that might be borking things is this form is actually a child form of the main POSTBACK form that ASP.NET injects into the page. I'm sure there's something stupid I'm missing and this post will get 800 downvotes instantly banishing me back into the n00b realm, but perhaps I haven't gotten enough sleep lately and I'm missing something stupid. This is on IE7 and an ASP.NET 4.0 backend. I also have jQuery libraries loaded on the page incase jQuery can improve this somehow. Thanks!

  • Removing DOM event handlers in long-running browser session

    I have a browser interface with a ul#contacts list on the left and div#contact property panel (email, phone) on the right. Click a contact in the list and my app makes an XHR request to get the contact property HTML fragment and update div#contact.innerHTML. Each contact fragment has an "Edit Contact" link. With JS, I progressively upgrade that link with an event listener that performs an XHR request to replace the static property panel with an in-place edit form. This can happen many times during a single browser session. How should I clean up my "Edit Contact" event listener? Do I need to remove it manually before the form overwrites the property panel? Or is the event listener cleaned up automatically when the contents of div#contact (and the node that I'm listening on) is overwritten? FWIW, I still consider IE6 to be part of my target market.

I have included a few examples below on how I've done this, but I'm wondering how others deal with this problem. Anyway, is there a better way to do this?

  • How to customize the printing while using Window.print ?

    i want to print a invoice and i use a print.css by media=print and when i change the current stylesheet to print.css i could able to view what i should be printing without the titles and content left aligned. But still while i'm printing there is space in the top and left and its taking up whole a4 sheet and also the whole width of the page.. But i've defined a body width of just 550 px. While i view to print preview, it takes the whole width instead of taking up 1/3 of the width.. My print.css is body { width:550px; height:450px; color:#000000; margin:0; padding:0; word-spacing:1.1pt; font-family : "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size : 10px; text-align:left; } a { visibility :hidden; display : none; } input{ display : none; } table { margin: 1px; text-align:left; } #list,#head,#cont,#fotter,#oth,#links,#name,li,ul,ol { display : none; } I'm printing through browser using window.print, so is there any special configuration i need to do...?

I have checked out Fiddler and it doesnt show that the script is getting blocked - but IE does errors with "Access is Denied" What is causing this prob and how to get around it ? Thx
