    Hi people, I am working on a website curently. Here is the link for it. Good News : The site is fine on FireFox, Chrome and IE 8. Bad News: It is not fine on IE 7. Alignment problems, hyperlink colour problems, etc. What should i do to make things normal on IE7 too. Any amount of help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Phantom horizontal scroll bars on the whole window in IE.

    I'm working on a website layout you can find at dev.movingcost.com In most browsers, everything seems fine... but I'm getting a horizontal scroll bar on the window when viewing the page in IE. I'm using a fixed width of 960px with auto margins to center the content. I've even tried using "overflow-x:hidden" on the html and body tags to no avail... any clue where the problem is?

  • Can I use reflection to find the bin/[Configuration] folder in ASP.NET instead of the asp temporary

    I have an ASP.NET website and I want to find the /bin/[Configuration] folder to use an external tool. When I use reflection to get calling assemblies location it returns something similar to: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\...\Temporary ASP.NET Files\a1388a5e\...\my.dll Since each dll has its own directory under the temp ASP.NET Files this fails for me. How can I get the location of the binary, not asp.net's temporary cache?

As far as I know, javascript is single threaded, and it shouldn't keep running if I refresh the page. For you info, I was implementing comet for a website.     I want my website to do exactly what Stackoverflow does with openId. I'm combing through sources, and I have done this before with facebook, but not making much progress with OpenID. What I would like to do is just detect if someone has logged into Google, and if they have get some identifying information, and allow them to federate into my site. Can anyone suggest any tutorials or Code snippets, and should I use Zends Libraries ? -P

  • C: performance of assignments, binary operations, et cetera...

    I've heard many things about performance in C; casting is slow compared to normal assignments, functional call is slow, binary operation are much faster than normal operations, et cetera... I'm sure some of those things are specific to the architecture, and compiler optimization might make a huge difference, but I would like to see a chart to get a general idea what I should do and what I should avoid to write high-performance programs. Is there such a chart (or a website, a book, anything) ?
