• Passing list of values to django view via jQuery ajax call

  I'm trying to pass a list of numeric values (ids) from one web page to another with jQuery ajax call. I can't figure out how to pass and read all the values in the list. I can successfully post and read 1 value but not multiple values. So my ingredients view picks up only terid=2. What am I doing wrong? EDIT: To clarify, I need the ourid variable pass values [1, 2] to the filter in the ingredients view.

• How to get acts on taggable working

  I am new to ruby on rails (and programming) and this is probably a really stupid question. I am using Rails 3.2 and trying to use acts_as_taggable_on to generate tags on articles and to have those tags show on article index and show pages as a clickable links. I have tags clickable on both the article show and index pages, but the links just go back to the index page and don't sort according to the tag name. I have scoured the Internet and pieced together the code below from various sources, but I am clearly missing something. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have exhausted my seemingly limited knowledge! Thanks. • Subversion freaking out on me!

  I have two copies of a site, one is the production copy, and the other is the development copy. I recently added everything in the production to a subversion repository hosted on our linux backup server. I created a tag of the current version and I was done. I then copied the development copy overtop of the production copy (on my local machine where I have everything checked out). There are only 10-20 files changed, however, when I use tortoise SVN to do a commit, it says every file has changed. The diff file generated shows subversion removing everything, and replacing it with the new version (which is the exact same). What is going on? How do I fix it? • Load javascript in app engine

  I got so confused loading javascript in app engine. I am using django template. In my base html file. First I can't load my downloaded jquery from local say d:/jquery.js like <script src="d:\jquery.js" type="text/javascript" ></script></head>, This line is in my base html file. It works when I load jquery from remote. Like <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js"type="text/javascript" ></script></head> I dont know why. Second, I can't load my own-created javascript to my html file, say I create a javascript like layout. Js and I try to load it like this in my child html file, which, by the way, inherits from the base html. <body><script src="layout.js" type="text/javascript"></script></body>, And it doesn't work at all, the only way it works I have tried is that I put the actual javascript in the body of my base html file. • mootools event listener disappears after element.innerHTML is changed

  I putting together a page that will display a set of stored values. I am using mootools and AJAX calls to update the values without needing to refresh the page each time the user selects a new item from the drop down menus. the HTML each line looks something like: <div class="selections"> <input class="checkbox selector" type="checkbox" CHECKED /> <span class="b_name"> <select class="b_n selector"> <!-- options --> </select> </span> <span class="b_level"> <select class="b_l selector"> <!-- options --> </select> </span> <span class="values"> <!-- the values --> </span> In the head I have set up an event listener like: $$('.selector').addEvent('change', function(event){changeValues(this);}); My problem is that when the "b_name" select changes I have to update the list of options in the "b_level" select. I accomplish that by getting a list of the possible options from my database through a php script on another page and replacing "b_level"'s innerHTML. Once I do that, the event listener attached to "b_l selector" no longer works. I tried to resolve this issue by explicitly attaching an event listener to "b_l selector" each time "b_name" changes like so: row.getElement('.b_l').addEvent('change', function(event){changeValues(row.getElement('.b_l'));}); where 'row' is the html element 'div.selections'. It still isn't working and I have no idea what's going on. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to how I can get this resolved? or perhaps a better way to do what I'm doing. Thanks

• Sharing rails fragments between formats

  Hi I'm toying with mobile_fu and want to share some fragments between the different views. E.g. views/ item/ view.html.erb view.mobile.rb shared/ _common.erb In both view.html.erb and view.mobile.erb I want to share the same fragment '_common.erb' without having to specify the format (should you ever have to specify the format inside a fragment? It doesn't seem like The Rails Way?). Let's say for arguments's sake it's because it's in a helper or whatever -- the point is that I need to share fragments in a 'well-defined and Railsy way' across formats. Let's take this fairly innocuous snippet <% render :fragment => 'shared/common' %> I've tried 3 file name conventions: _common.html.erb only works for html /item/view/xx fails with 'shared/_common.erb not found') however _common.erb fails for html and works for mobile (maybe mobile_fu is doing something wacky?) -- same error as for .html.erb version above _common.rhtml does work for both I'm thinking that: that rhtml works for both is a legacy hack and I'm loathe to rename all the shared fragments .rhtml to get the behaviour I want. • How to use multiple identity numbers in one table?

  I have an web application that creates printable forms, these forms have a unique number on them, the problem is I have 2 forms that separate numbers need to be created for them. ie) Form1- Numbered 2000000-2999999 Form2- Numbered 3000000-3999999 dbo.test2 - is my form information table Tsel - is my autoinc table for the 3000000 series numbers Tadv - is my autoinc table for the 2000000 series numbers What I have done is create 2 tables with just autoinc row (one for 2000000 series numbers and one for 3000000 series numbers), I then created a trigger to add a record to the coresponding table, read back the autoinc number and add it to my table that stores the form information including the just created autoinc number for the right series of forms. Although it does work, I'm concerned that the numbers will get messed up under load. I'm not sure the @@IDENTITY will always return the right value when many people are using the system. (I cannot have duplicates and I need to use the numbering form show above. • jquery mobile - loading content into a div

  Jquery Mobile works by “hijacking” a page and loading content and injecting it into the page. It seems that this creates a problem when i try to inject other content into the page. I have my index.html and then a page2.html file. I'm setting up jquery mobile in the normal fashion wrapping the contents of each page in a div like so: <div id="container" data-role="page"> // my content <a href="page2.html">go to page 2</a> </div> when the user taps go to page 2, it does the nice slide effect. The url in the location bar looks like this: index.html#page2.html jquery mobile inject the content of the page using the anchors and applies the transition. nice so everthing works great up to the next part. On page2.html, i have a section that is loading some external data and injecting it into a div. <a href="http://www.somedomain.com/myata.php" class="ajaxtrigger" data-role="none">mydata</a> <div id="target"></div> <script src="js/code.js"></script> <script src="js/loader.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.ajaxtrigger').trigger('click'); }); </script> The problem i am having is that when i enable the transitions in jquery mobile this script doesn't work. It won't load the data into the div. bummer. Anyone know what i need to do to get it to trigger and load the content into that div?

• My partial is not where rails expects it to be (nested partials)

  I have a model Submissions which has many Performers. I have a partial for showing an individual submissions (app/views/submissions/_submission.html.erb): <div> Show stuff relating to @submission ... <%= render @performers %> </div> and a partial for showing performers (app/views/performers/_performer.html.erb): <%= div_for performer do %> <%= performer.name %> <% end %> This works fine from (app/views/submissions/show.html.erb): <%= render @submission %> But I want to use this from a different namespace too (app/views/curator/submissions/show.html.erb). But I get this error: Missing partial curator/submissions/submission with {:locale=>[:en], :formats=>[:html], :handlers=>[:erb, :builder, :coffee]}. Searched in: * "/Users/ircmullaney/RubyCode/cif/app/views" * "/Users/ircmullaney/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p194@rails3tutorial2ndEd/gems/devise-2.1.2/app/views" I can fix this by changing the render to this: <%= render 'submissions/submission' %> But, then the nested partial fails: Missing partial curator/performers/performer with {:locale=>[:en], :formats=>[:html], :handlers=>[:erb, :builder, :coffee]}.   I am receiving an error that states: "The HTTP verb POST used to access path '[my path]' is not allowed.". The error is being caused by the fact that I am implementing an HTML form element that uses the POST method and does not explicitly define an .aspx page in its ACTION parameter. For example: <form action="" method="post"> <input type="submit" /> </form> The HTML above is on a file at "/foo/default.aspx". Now, if the user points the URL to the root directory "foo" without specifying the aspx file (i.e. "http://localhost/foo") and then submits the form, the error "The HTTP verb POST used to access path '/foo' is not allowed." will be thrown. However, if the user goes to "http://localhost/foo/default.aspx" and then submits the form, all goes well (even if the ACTION parameter is left empty). Note: If I explicitly add the name of the .aspx (default.aspx) page to the ACTION parameter, no errors are thrown. So the example below works fine regardless if the user defines the name of the file in the URL or not. <form action="default.aspx" method="post"> <input type="submit" /> </form> I was curious as to why the error was being thrown, so I read a Microsoft KB that states This problem occurs because a client makes an HTTP request by sending the POST method to a static HTML page. Static HTML pages do not support the POST method. I suppose the core of the explanation makes sense, however in my case, my form is not being sent to a static html page - it's being sent to the same page that the html form lives on (default.aspx)... this is implicit to an ACTION param that is left empty. Is it possible to configure IIS (or otherwise) that will allow us to do form POSTing and keep the ACTION param empty?
