Does anyone know where i can find such a AMI? Oracle database Enterprise Edition 11g release 2?
Has oracle supplied it somewhere or has someone else created one i can use?
I watch instructional videos that play in Silverlight such as the ones at http://windowsclient.net/learn.
I watch them in full screen on my left monitor.
While the video is playing, I want to be able to type notes in a text editor on my right monitor.
However, as soon as I press a key, the video exits full screen mode.
How can I force the Silverlight player to stay in full screen mode even as I type in another application?
I work on a remote machine through ssh. I have a very large text file there (approx. 500 lines) which I usually need to modify, then copy the contents of that file and paste it in my local browser. The way I usually do this is cat filename and then select/copy the ssh output. That takes a lot of time.
I was wondering if there is a utility that will put the remote file's contents in my local clipboard.
After a TimeMachine restore; Office 2011 is having kittens over permissions it would seem. Having attempted a 'repair' out of Disk Utility, am still seeing:
there is a problem with the Office database
upon startup, after which Word/Excel work without issues.
Outlook on the other hand won't even start. Given the obvious message here "You do not have write access to the Outlook application folder" – where is the DB located to check?
As you know we can enable spell checker on single line Text-Boxes with following way :
http://www.picfront.org/d/7yiJ
And we have to enable it every time for checking words.
Now , my question is ; How we can enable it forever as it doesn't need to enable each time ?
Is there some (free) tool that reads Performance Counters (Windows 2008 Server, but 2003 support is a bonus) and adds them to a MS SQL Server 2008 database?
Doesn't need to be too fancy as in the worst case I can add "log rotation" through triggers.
I have a unique need: I am frequently searching a large set of text files for a keyword.
Right now, I open up Notepad++ and use the "Find in files" feature. It works just fine, but with the amount of files, each search takes several minutes to complete.
Is there a good program more suited for this purpose, perhaps that indexes a set of files and then lets you search the set repeatedly and very quickly? It would greatly speed up my workflow.
My mythtv box crashed because of a corrupted hard drive. I can see my data when connected it to another computer. I need to know how I can retrieve the database so I can load it on my new drive.
I have a mirrored database and am trying to perform a backup of the transaction log, but after it gets to 90% it just hangs and won't go any further.
What is the correct method for backing up a DB that is in the mirroring state?
For a database migration I need a tool which can convert a 1 GB file from Ansi codepage to UTF8 on Windows. Maybe I can use sed (given that I know all search and replace values), but is there something included in GNU or Windows tools?
I'm familiar with Notepad++'s code collapse for certain programming languages but recently I've been working with a plain text file that uses with Wiki syntax. For example:
==Heading1==
Content
===Heading2===
Content
===Heading3===
Content
==Heading1.1==
into (when I collapse Heading1):
==Heading1==
==Heading1.1==
I want to be able to collapse these headings and all their contents down at different levels, much like how Notepad++ can collapse tags in HTML, hiding all other tags inside it. I think that's as clear as I explain it any suggestions?
I looked at links2 and elinks - neither one seems to even support a simple javascript redirect on a site.
Any ideas? Is there some sort of text mode for some opensource browser e.g. Firefox that I can compile and use?
Thanks!
Is there a way to show the description of ta back up set in SSMS? When you do a back up there is a Description text box. But as far as I can tell there is no way to show the description before you restore from the back up set.
Am I missing something simple?
We have a repository of documents in HTML and text that we're looking to get into PDF format, but my boss (another developer) feels that writing this portion of the application will detract from the main development that we're doing at the moment.
Is anyone aware of any services that will be able to do bulk conversions of these documents to PDF? Any services that will also provide thumbnails for the documents is something we're looking for as well.
Hi there,
I´ve got an jpeg image with text on it (badly scanned document), which is hardly readable. I have already played around with the sharpen filters, contrast, levels and the color replacement tool, with decent success. however my question is, what else can be done order to maximize the texts readablity? the picture is also somewhat noisy. Any help on this one would be greatly apreciated, since I absolutely need the images content.

Is it possible to setup a mailbox (using MS Exchange) to receive emails and store them as a text file on the server?
A developer has asked if this is possible so he can then build it into his application.
Any help is always appreciated
.
Thanks
Elliott

Is it possible to turn off anti-aliasing for the text editor in Flash Builder on the Mac?
For Flex Builder I was able to do this via the terminal using the following
defaults write com.adobe.flexbuilder AppleAntiAliasingThreshold 20 defaults write com.adobe.flexbuilder AppleSmoothFixedFontsSizeThreshold 20
I have about 300 emails (gmail) that go like this:
Dear [name]
Order ID:123456789
Purchased by: [name I need]
(blah blah another 26 lines of crap (total of 30 lines))
What I need help is how to save gmail's mails locally into .txt and how to export 4th line from each text file. I can easily run Replace 'Purchased by: ' to remove that and keep only the names from that line in a list, but other than that I have no clue
Any ideas?
