  • Latex: Make \listoffigures look like \listoftables or \lstlistoflistings

The thing that is really annoying me is that they look the same except the list of listings doesn't leave a line gap between chapters. I've had a good google around and people have asked the same question but don't seem to have had any response. Is their any reason why they don't look the same and it be made to look concise?

  • Grabbing "last saved by" metadata from access '03 file to excel '03 in VBA

    So I am in Excel trying to read the last saved metadata from an Access database, but I cannot figure out how on earth to do this. If I use environ$("username") it will give my the last saved information for the excel document where I am coding, not the access db that I want it to grab from. Excel has a built in function for grabbing username data, but I cannot find one for access. How can I do this?! Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Let's say I have some HTML like this: <ol><li>a knock at the door, I'll be back in a second which I display as inline HTML within a div that I produce. Is there any way to stop the inner, malformed HTML from screwing up the alignment of the entire document that comes after the HTML? I realize that intelligently parsing it is one option (since I do have it on the server side), but I'm looking for a lighter solution.

    I have a flow document with images (created from drawings). I have provided a button for the user to enlarge the images (zoom) independently without zooming the text. Is there anyway, I can force the FlowDocumentScrollViewer to display a horizontal scrollbar for scrolling when the images are enlarged? Currently, the enlarged images are simply clipped off.     Hi guys, I am learning Windows Forms in C#.NET 2008 and i want to build a class to work with SIMPLE xml files (config file like INI files), but i just need a simple class (open, getvalue, setvalue, creategroup, save and close functions), to substitute of ini files.   • What is the best way to download files via HTTP using .NET?

    In one of my application I'm using the WebClient class to download files from a web server. Depending on the web server sometimes the application download millions of documents. It seems to be when there are lot of documents, performance vise the WebClient doesn't scale up well. Also it seems to be the WebClient doesn't immediately close the connection it opened for the WebServer even after it successfully download the particular document. I would like to know what other alternatives I have.

I have an application which loads a physicial XML document via the following method: jQuery.ajax( { type: "GET", url: fileName, dataType: "xml", success: function(data) { etc... I parse the XML and convert it into a string which is saved into a variable so that it can easily be stored in a database. How can I now convert the data in this variable back into an XML object so that it can be parsed as such?

I am using a single directory for HTTP and HTTPS content. I would not want to force HTTPS either. How can I fix this?

I would like to draw a line through the element to appear as if that element is canceled.   • Visual Studio 2010 : Cant change target. Gives TargetFrameworkMoniker Error.

    I have a console application which has target .NET 2.0 It is very short but full of unsafe code. I converted it to VS 2010. I run it OK. When I try to change "target framework" in properties to 3.5 or 4.0 it shows message box: TargetFrameworkMoniker: Error parsing application configuration file at line 0. XML document must have a top level element. the target then stays 2.0 anyway... Any thoughts?
