  I'm having some problems with one webservice that i'm working with. I generated a proxy class with wsdl.exe that comes with .net framework. But that webservice return a header that isnt not mapped by the wsdl. I must map the header sop because it contains some properties that i have to read and work with. how can i read the soap's header collection? • How do I find the module dependencies of my Perl script?

  I want another developer to run a Perl script I have written. The script uses many CPAN modules that have to be installed before the script can be run. Is it possible to make the script (or the perl binary) to dump a list of all the missing modules? Perl prints out the missing modules’ names when I attempt to run the script, but this is verbose and does not list all the missing modules at once. I’d like to do something like: $ cpan -i `said-script --list-deps` Or even: $ list-deps said-script > required-modules # on my machine $ cpan -i `cat required-modules` # on his machine Is there a simple way to do it? This is not a show stopper, but I would like to make the other developer’s life easier. (The required modules are sprinkled across several files, so that it’s not easy for me to make the list by hand without missing anything. I know about PAR, but it seems a bit too complicated for what I want.) Update: Thanks, Manni, that will do. I did not know about %INC, I only knew about @INC.   Hi all, I have an image which is of rectangular dimension, eg 30 x 60 pixels I want to rotate this image around the bottom center of the image, i.e i want to set the pivot in the above example as (15, 60 )pixel. I am using a drawble and matrix to get this done, whatever i try i always end up rotating around center of the image. • Performance issue on Android's MapView Navigation-App

  Hey Guys, I've got a question on making an navigation app more faster and more stable. The basic layer of my app is a simple mapview, covered with several overlays (2 markers for start and destination and one for the route). My idea is to implement a thread to display the route, so that the app won't hang up during the calculation of a more complex route (like it does right now). • Unidentifiable Vim Keymap

  Hi I'm trying to get rid of a pesky keymapping in vim, namely \c The mapping is only loaded for latex files, so it should be related to the latex-suite. It's annoying, because it can't type \cite without this keymap ruining everything. I can unmap it "manually" by typing: :unmap! \c But this doesn't work when I put that into my ~/.vimrc file because it says there's no such keymap. I think this is because the keymap is loaded after .vimrc, although I'm not sure. I've tried locate in bash to locate all files on my system that start have "vim" in their filename, and subsequently grep keyword $filename to find all references to keyword that should be relevant. The keyword I search for is "Traditional" because that's what the mapping is called (that's what I find by typing :map! in vim normal mode). It finds some entries that contain "Traditional" but nothing that corresponds to \c, except in the file: ~/.gnome2/gvim-sA9LOO-session.vim But this file is not used by vim when starting up, as far as I know. Anyone know any fix?

  In my web.config I have configured a SiteMapProvider with securityTrimmingEnabled="true" and on my main master page is an asp:Menu control bound to an asp:SiteMapDataSource. In addition I have configured restricted access to all pages in a subfolder "Admin" (using another web.config in this subfolder). If I put a sitemapNode in Web.sitemap... <siteMapNode url="~/Admin/Default.aspx" title="Administration" description="" > ... only users in role "Admin" will have the menu item related to that siteMapNode. So this is working fine and as intended. Now I have defined a URL route in Global.asax to map the physical file to a new URL: System.Web.Routing.RouteTable.Routes.MapPageRoute("AdminHomeRoute", "Administration/Home", "~/Admin/Default.aspx"); But when I use this route-URL in the SiteMap file... <siteMapNode url="Administration/Home" title="Administration" description="" > ... it seems that security trimming does not work: The menu item is visible for all users. (Access to the page is still restricted though, so selecting the menu item by non-Admin users does not navigate to the restricted page.) Question: Is there any setting I've missed so far to make security trimming working with URL routing in ASP.NET 4.0 Web Forms? Did I do something wrong? Is there any work-around? Thank you for help!

• Hibernate ManyToMany and superclass mapping problem

  Hi all, I need to create a relation in Hibernate, linking three tables: Survey, User and Group. The Survey can be visible to a User or to a Group, and a Group is form of several Users. My idea was to create a superclass for User and Group, and create a ManyToMany relationship between that superclass and Survey. My problem is that Group, is not map to a table, but to a view, so I can't split the fields of Group among several tables -which would happen if I created a common superclass-. I thought about creating a common interface, but mapping to them is not allowed. I will probably end up going for a two relations solution (Survey-User and Survey-Group), but I don't like too much that approach. I thought as well about creating a table that would look like: Survey Id | ElementId | Type ElementId would be the Group or UserId, and the type... the type of it. Does anyone know how to achieve it using hibernate annotations? Any other ideas? Thanks a lot

• Swing: what to do when a JTree update takes too long and freezes other GUI elements?

  Hello, everyone! I know that GUI code in Java Swing must be put inside SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait or SwingUtilities.invokeLater. This way threading works fine. Sadly, in my situation, the GUI update it that thing which takes much longer than background thread(s). More specific: I update a JTree with about just 400 entries, nesting depth is maximum 4, so should be nothing scary, right? But it takes sometimes one second! I need to ensure that the user is able to type in a JTextPane without delays. Well, guess what, the slow JTree updates do cause delays for JTextPane during input. It refreshes only as soon as the tree gets updated. I am using Netbeans and know empirically that a Java app can update lots of information without freezing the rest of the UI. How can it be done? NOTE 1: All those DefaultMutableTreeNodes are prepared outside the invokeAndWait. NOTE 2: When I replace invokeAndWait with invokeLater the tree doesn't get updated. NOTE 3: Fond out that recursive tree expansion takes far the most time. NOTE 4: I'm using custom tree cell renderer, will try without and report. NOTE 4a: My tree cell renderer uses a map to cache and reuse created JTextComponents, depending on tree node (as a key). CLUE 1: Wow! Without setting custom cell renderer it's 10 times faster. I think, I'll need few good tutorials on writing custom tree cell renderers.

  I have read through the Rails docs for Routing, Restful Resources, and the UrlHelper, and still don't understand best practices for creating complex/nested routes. The example I'm working on now is for events, which has_many rsvps. So a user's looking through a list of events, and clicks register, and goes through a registration process, etc. I want the urls to look like this: /events /events/123 # possible without title, like SO /events/123/my-event-title # canonical version /events/my-category/123/my-event-title # also possible like this /events/123/my-event-title/registration/new ... and all the restful nested resouces. Question is, how do I accomplish this with the minimal amount of code? Here's what I currently have: map.resources :events do |event| event.resources :rsvps, :as => "registration" end That gets me this: /events/123/registration What's the best way to accomplish the other 2 routes? /events/123/my-event-title # canonical version /events/my-category/123/my-event-title # also possible like this Where my-category is just an array of 10 possible types the event can be. I've modified Event#to_param to return "#{self.id.to_s}-#{self.title.parameterize}", but I'd prefer to have /id/title with the whole canonical-ness

• Completely bizarre Firefox CSS bug

  I've been doing front end development for a long time, and I have NEVER come across a bug like this before... Save the following HTML to a file and view it in Firefox (mine is 3.6.3): <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <style type="text/css"> body { font-family: Helvetica, Sans-Serif;} h2 {font-weight: normal;} </style> </head> <body> <h2>Some normal text <strong>some bold text</strong> weird huh?</h2> </body> </html> If you don't want to give it a shot the output is like your cat walked across your keyboard while character map was turned on, except in the strong tags. I feel like this may be a font issue? When I get rid of font-weight: normal it goes back to normal, but I don't want everything to be bolded in my h2... Anyone have any ideas? More importantly, is anyone able to reproduce this?? Thanks.

  I'm developing a Grails web application (mainly as a learning exercise). I have previously written some standard Grails apps, but in this case I wanted to try creating a controller that would intercept all requests (including static html) of the form: <a href="/testApp/testJsp.jsp">test 1</a> <a href="/testApp/testGsp.gsp">test 2</a> <a href="/testApp/testHtm.htm">test 3</a> <a href="/testApp/testHtml.html">test 4</a> The intent is to do some simple business logic (auditing) each time a user clicks a link. I know I could do this using a Filter (or a range of other methods), however I thought this should work too and wanted to do this using a Grails framework. I set up the Grail UrlMappings.groovy file to map all URLs of that form (/$myPathParam?) to a single controller: class UrlMappings { static mappings = { "/$controller/$action?/$id?"{ constraints { } } "/$path?" (controller: 'auditRecord', action: 'showPage') "500"(view:'/error') } } In that controller (in the appropriate "showPage" action) I've been printing out the path information, for example: def showPage = { println "params.path = " + params.path ... render(view: resultingView) } The results of the println in the showPage action for each of my four links are testJsp.jsp testGsp.gsp testHtm.htm testHtml Why is the last one "testHtml", not "testHtml.html"? In a previous (Stack Overflow query) Olexandr encountered this issue and was advised to simply concatenate the value of request.format - which, indeed, does return "html". However request.format also returns "html" for all four links. I'm interested in gaining an understanding of what Grails is doing and why. Is there some way to configure Grails so the params.path variable in the controller shows "testHtml.html" rather than stripping off the "html" extension? It doesn't seem to remove the extension for any other file type (including .htm). Is there a good reason it's doing this? I know that it is a bit unusual to use a controller for static html, but still would like to understand what's going on.

• Translating Where() to sql

  Hi. I saw DamienG's article (http://damieng.com/blog/2009/06/24/client-side-properties-and-any-remote-linq-provider) in how to map client properties to sql. i ran throgh this article, and i saw great potential in it. Definitely mapping client properties to SQL is an awesome idea. But i wanted to use this for something a bit more complicated then just concatenating strings. Atm we are trying to introduce multilinguality to our Business objects, and i hoped we could leave all the existing linq2sql queries intact, and just change the code of the multilingual properties, so they would actually return the given property in the CurrentUICulture. The first idea was to change these fields to XMLs, and then try the Object.Property.Elements().Where(...), but it got stuck on the Elements(), as it couldnt translate it to sql. I read somewhere that XML fields are actually regarded as strings, and only on the app server they become XElements, so this way the filtering would be on the app server anyways, not the DB. Fair point, it wont work like this. Lets try something else... SO the second idea was to create a PolyGlots table (name taken from http://weblogic.sys-con.com/node/102698?page=0,1), a PolyGlotTranslations table and a Culture table, where the PolyGlots would be referenced from each internationalized property. This way i wanted to say for example: private static readonly CompiledExpression<Announcement, string> nameExpression = DefaultTranslationOf<Announcement> .Property(e => e.Name) .Is(e=> e.NamePolyGlot.PolyGlotTranslations .Where(t=> t.Culture.Code == Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture.Name) .Single().Value ); now unfortunately here i get an error that the Where() function cannot be translated to sql, what is a bit disappointing, as i was sure it will go through. I guess it is failing, cause the IEntitySet is basically an IEnumerable, not IQueryable, am i right? Is there another way to use the compiledExpressions class to achieve this goal? • [Java] Cluster Shared Cache

  Hi everyone. I am searching for a java framework that would allow me to share a cache between multiple JVMs. What I would need is something like Hazelcast but without the "distributed" part. I want to be able to add an item in the cache and have it automatically synced to the other "group member" cache. If possible, I'd like the cache to be sync'd via a reliable multicast (or something similar). I've looked at Shoal but sadly the "Distributed State Cache" seems like an insufficient implementation for my needs. I've looked at JBoss Cache but it seems a little overkill for what I need to do. I've looked at JGroups, which seems to be the most promising tool for what I need to do. Does anyone have experiences with JGroups ? Preferably if it was used as a shared cache ? Any other suggestions ? Thanks ! EDIT : We're starting tests to help us decide between Hazelcast and Infinispan, I'll accept an answer soon. EDIT : Due to a sudden requirements changes, we don't need a distributed map anymore. We'll be using JGroups for a low level signaling framework. Thanks everyone for you help.

• how do i execute a stored procedure with vici coolstorage?

  I'm building an app around Vici Coolstorage (asp.net version). I have my classes created and mapped to my database tables and can pull a list of all records fine. I've written a stored procedure where the query jumps across databases that aren't mapped with Coolstorage, however, the fields in the query result map directly to one of my classes. The procedure takes 1 parameter. so 2 questions here: how do i execute the stored procedure? i'm doing this CSParameterCollection collection = new CSParameterCollection(); collection.Add("@id", id); var result = Vici.CoolStorage.CSDatabase.RunQuery("procedurename", collection); and getting the exception "Incorrect syntax near 'procedurename'." (i'm guessing this is because it's trying to execute it as text rather than a procedure?) and also, since the class representing my table is defined as abstract, how do i specify that result should create a list of MyTable objects instead of generic or dynamic or whatever objects? if i try Vici.CoolStorage.CSDatabase.RunQuery<MyTable>(...) the compiler yells at me for it being an abstract class.

I tried both class Pet < ActiveRecord::Base ... alias_attribute :klass, :type end and class Pet < ActiveRecord::Base ... def klass self.type end def klass=(k) self.type = k end end Neither worked. Any suggestions? Oddly, it works fine on my machine (MRI 1.8.6 on RVM), but fails on the staging server (MRI 1.8.7 not on RVM).

• WHMCS - Mapping of a Manually Created Invoice with its Corresponding Domain

  I am using WHMCS version 4.2.1 for maintaining domain registration & website hosting services, in one of my websites. Currently, the automatic domain registration process is working great for both the existing & new clients. The main way to register domains automatically is to mark the respective invoices as paid, and automatically the domains get registered through my selected registrar. Recently, I am facing a major problem in domain renewals, where the domain has been already registered by us in the past. The problem is that some of the corresponding invoices are not already generated for the domains & so I have to manually create invoice for each of those domain renewals. However, I am unable to map that invoice with the corresponding domain. This is required because unless the domain knows that for its renewal, an invoice has been created, the marking of the invoice as paid will not instantiate the automatic renewal process through my registrar. Can anybody please tell me the probable way of mapping the invoice with its corresponding domain? I've tried to explain the problem as it is occurring in the best way possible. Still, if any more information regarding this is required, please ask. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's trying to find an action with the name 1. Can anyone point me out on the right direction?

Outside of the class, I'm using: for (iter = mp.begin(); iter != mp.end(); ++iter ) { cout << iter->first << setw(textwidth - iter->first.length() + 1); cout << " " << iter->second << endl; } To write all of the information from this data struct (it's a map<basic_string<T>, int>), and as predicted, cout explodes if iter->first isn't a char array. I've looked online and the consensus is to use wcout, but unfortunately, since this program requires that the template can be changed at compile time (<char> - <wchar_t>) I'm not sure how I could get away with simply choosing cout or wcout. That is, unless there way a way to read/write wide characters without changing lots of code. If this explanation sounds awkwardly complicated, let me know and I'll address it as best I can.

  Please note that this Galileo is absolutely not related to Java. Galileo is basically a set of web services which can be used to book airline tickets. Originally, it was supposed to be used via Galileo Desktop, whereby operators would enter various commands to perform required operations. For example, SA*AZ610J20JULFCOJFK will "Display seat availability map for specified flight and class". Granted, humans can get used to it and be very efficient, but here comes a problem of integrating this with other systems. For that, folks at TravelPort basically slapped a SOAP interface to this system (which must have been written in COBOL or something), without even thinking about actually embracing XML. For example, it can contain <Ind1>N</Ind1> <Ind2>N</Ind2> <Ind3>N</Ind3> ... <Ind72>N</Ind72> <!-- Yes! 72! --> or, better yet <Text>P/RU/4xxx24528/RU/11MAY67/M/23DEC12/AxxxxxxV/MxxxM</Text> In light of this, my question is as follows: are there any sane airline tickets booking systems we can integrate with? • Delphi: Alternative to using Reset/ReadLn for text file reading

  i want to process a text file line by line. In the olden days i loaded the file into a StringList: slFile := TStringList.Create(); slFile.LoadFromFile(filename); for i := 0 to slFile.Count-1 do begin oneLine := slFile.Strings[i]; //process the line end; Problem with that is once the file gets to be a few hundred megabytes, i have to allocate a huge chunk of memory; when really i only need enough memory to hold one line at a time. (Plus, you can't really indicate progress when you the system is locked up loading the file in step 1). The i tried using the native, and recommended, file I/O routines provided by Delphi: var f: TextFile; begin Reset(f, filename); while ReadLn(f, oneLine) do begin //process the line end; Problem withAssign is that there is no option to read the file without locking (i.e. fmShareDenyNone). The former stringlist example doesn't support no-lock either, unless you change it to LoadFromStream: slFile := TStringList.Create; stream := TFileStream.Create(filename, fmOpenRead or fmShareDenyNone); slFile.LoadFromStream(stream); stream.Free; for i := 0 to slFile.Count-1 do begin oneLine := slFile.Strings[i]; //process the line end; So now even though i've gained no locks being held, i'm back to loading the entire file into memory. Is there some alternative to Assign/ReadLn, where i can read a file line-by-line, without taking a sharing lock? i'd rather not get directly into Win32 CreateFile/ReadFile, and having to deal with allocating buffers and detecting CR, LF, CRLF's. i thought about memory mapped files, but there's the difficulty if the entire file doesn't fit (map) into virtual memory, and having to maps views (pieces) of the file at a time. Starts to get ugly. i just want Reset with fmShareDenyNone!

  I have problem understanding the concept of Hazelcast Distributed Execution. It is said to be able to perform the execution on the owner instance of a specific key. From Documentation: <T> Future<T> submitToKeyOwner(Callable<T> task, Object key) Submits task to owner of the specified key and returns a Future representing that task. Parameters: task - task key - key Returns: a Future representing pending completion of the task I believe that I'm not alone to have a cluster built with multiple maps which might actually use the same key for different purposes, holding different objects (e.g. something along the following setup): IMap<String, ObjectTypeA> firstMap = HazelcastInstance.getMap("firstMap"); IMap<String, ObjectTypeA_AppendixClass> secondMap = HazelcastInstance.getMap("secondMap"); To me it seems quite confusing what documentation says about the owner of a key. My real frustration is that I don't know WHICH - in which map - key does it refer to? • Android maps out of memory error

  Hi , sometimes when running a google maps program with an overlay image i will receive a bit map out of memory error. It always seems to be at a random point in the app. Im not sure how to solve this. Anyone have any ideas ?
