  • Original sender is not correctly identified when spam is forwarded

    I have a forwarding rule with Postfix that forwards all messages to my main email address. When a spam message is sent to one of my emails, it is forwarded but the sender is shown as being the forwarding domain, not the spammer's domain. Real example: mywebsite.com is hosted on Linode. [email protected] sends an email to [email protected] the mail is forwarded to [email protected] my email hosting (anotherwebsite.com) sees it's spam and sends a message to [email protected] and Linode reports a TOS violation. I have modified my postfix settings so I now use RBL, but if a message goes through, it may happen again. How can I prevent this to happen again? Is there some settings to change on Postfix so the original sender is correctly identified? Thanks Stephan EDIT: The steps I did to prevent this to happen again are: Add RBL checking to Postfix Add postgrey to Postfix And finally fix the MX record which was incorrect. I checked with a test email on Spamcop.net and the original sender is correctly identified.

  • C code autocomplete in Eclipse

    Hi, I'm a Java developer and I've downloaded the Eclipse for C (course purposes) and to my amazement the control+space shortcut (for autocomplete) did not work. I've created a new project and a new class using the wizzards and started to type "print" and then tried to find an autocomplete feature. After a bit of googling I arrived at C/C++-Editor-Content Assist-Advanced and there I verified that Help proposals,Parsing-based proposals and Template proposals options were checked. I then went over to the Keys preferences page using the link at that page and entered a binding for all relevant content assist from before C\C++ Content Assist (type...) and chose in the When box the C\C++ Editor option. But alas no autocompletion was offered. Can someone please point me to the right direction? Thanks, Ittai

    Hi All, I want to have an abstract base class for some of my custom UserControl's. The reason is obvious: they share some common properties and methods (a basic implementation of some elements of an interface actually), and I want to implement them only once. I have done this by defining my abstract base class: public abstract class ViewBase : UserControl, ISomeInterface Then I went to implement one of my views, as usual, with the designer: public partial class SpecialView : UserControl //all OK Up to here all is fine. Now I replace the derivation of my SpecialView class with the abstract base class: public partial class SpecialView : ViewBase //disrupts the designer Now, the designer in Visual Studio 2008 won't work anymore, stating: The designer must create an instance of type 'ViewBase' but it cannot because the type is declared as abstract. How can I circumvent this? I just do not want to have the same code copied for all those views. Info: there is a question question with virtual methods, instead of abstract classes, but there is no suitable solution for me.

  • Is there a way to declare a variable that implements multiple interfaces in .Net?

    Similar to this Java question. I would like to specify that a variable implements multiple interfaces. For instance private {IFirstInterface, ISecondInterface} _foo; public void SetFoo({IFirstInterface, ISecondInterface} value) { _foo = value; } Requirements: I don't have the ability to add an interface to most type that would be passed in to Foo. So I can't create a third interface that inherits from IFirstInterface and ISecondInterface. I would like to avoid making the containing class generic if possible because the type of Foo doesn't have much to do with the class and the user isn't likely to know it at compile time. I need to use foo to access methods in both interfaces at a later time. I would like to do this in a compiler safe way, i.e. no trying to cast to the interface just before trying to use it. If foo does not implement both interfaces quite a bit of functionality won't work properly. Is this possible?

    I'm revising this question after reading the resources mentioned in the original answers and working through implementing it. I'm using the google maps api to integrate a map into my Rails site. I have a markets model with the following columns: ID, name, address, lat, lng. On my markets/index view, I want to populate a map with all the markets in my markets table. I'm trying to output @markets as json data, and that's where I'm running into problems. I have the basic map displaying, but right now it's just a blank map. I'm following the tutorials very closely, but I can't get the markers to generate dynamically from the json. Any help is much appreciated!   • How to make Spring accept fluent (non-void) setters?

    Hi, I have an API which I am turning into an internal DSL. As such, most methods in my PoJos return a reference to this so that I can chain methods together declaratively as such (syntactic sugar). myComponent .setID("MyId") .setProperty("One") .setProperty2("Two") .setAssociation(anotherComponent) .execute(); My API does not depend on Spring but I wish to make it 'Spring-Friendly' by being PoJo friendly with zero argument constructors, getters and setters. The problem is that Spring seems to not detect my setter methods when I have a non-void return type. The return type of this is very convenient when chaining together my commands so I don't want to destroy my programmatic API just be to compatible with Spring injection. Is there a setting in Spring to allow me to use non-void setters? Chris

    I'm trying to find some good examples of semantic diff/merge utilities. The traditional paradigm of comparing source code files works by comparing lines and characters.. but are there any utilities out there (for any language) that actually consider the structure of code when comparing files? For example, existing diff programs will report "difference found at character 2 of line 125. File x contains v-o-i-d, where file y contains b-o-o-l". A specialized tool should be able to report "Return type of method doSomething() changed from void to bool". I would argue that this type of semantic information is actually what the user is looking for when comparing code, and should be the goal of next-generation progamming tools. Are there any examples of this in available tools?

    I have an ImageKit program that needs to be able to save images, so I'm using the IKSaveOptions accessory view, to allow the user to choose a file type, etc. However, I want to remove some of the options, and add a checkbox to the panel for TIFFs. Alternatively, I want to add a type of file. However I can't figure out how to do this. I assume I'm going to have to subclass off of IKSaveOptions and over-ride something, but I can't find any sample code or documentation that tells me how to do this. ETA: In particular, I need to be able to allow the user to distinguish between multi-page tiff, and a bunch of single-page tiffs with a page-number appended.

    Hi everyone, I have a system where I need to login three user types: customers, companies, and vendors from one login form on the home page. I have created one User table that works according to AuthLogic's example app at http://github.com/binarylogic/authlogic_example. I have added a field called "User Type" that currently contains either 'Customer', 'Company', or 'Vendor'. Note: each user type contains many disparate fields so I'm not sure if Single Table Inheritance is the best way to go (would welcome corrections if this conclusion is invalid). Is this a polymorphic association where each of the three types is 'tagged' with a User record? How should my models look so I have the right relationships between my User table and my user types Customer, Company, Vendor? Thanks very much!

The type library file, does not have any hints of events definitions, so Delphi doesn't see it. The class works fine for other C# applications, as you would expect.     I am checking my server dns setting on different websites. intodns,dnssy,dnscog, but on all the websites i get different results. Some say my mail server settings are not good, some say i have no A records for my NS records. Only on dnssy everything looks to be ok. Should i just trust the website with the best results, or what should i do? How does this sort of inconsistency occur in the first place. I am new to servers and dns, and this makes it very misleading.

    Hi i have a java application that starts/stops/restart Apache and it should also check for its status, so i have looked how checking for status of apache and it appears that you have to check for the state of the service, problem is that when i use apachectl start the service httpd is still not started, is that normal ? i check for the service state by doing service httpd status . Consider marking it with the DataContractAttribute attribute, and marking all of its members you want serialized with the DataMemberAttribute attribute. If the type is a collection, consider marking it with the CollectionDataContractAttribute. If I add the DataContract / DataMember attributes to the class and its appropriate members on the server-side, I receive an error that says: Type cannot be ISerializable and have DataContractAttribute attribute. How do I serialize MyException so that I can pass an instance of it to my WCF service. Please note, I want to use my service from an Android app. Because of this, I don't want to do anything too Microsoft centric. That was my fear with DataContract / DataMember stuff.     After generating a type dynamically and calling TypeBuilder.CreateType, I want to create a delegate that points to a method in the new type. But if I use code like loadedType = typeBuilder.CreateType(); myDelegate = (MyDelegate)Delegate.CreateDelegate( typeof(MyDelegate), methodBuilder); Reusing the methodBuilder as a methodInfo, I get the exception "MethodInfo must be a RuntimeMethodInfo". Now normally I can re-acquire the MethodInfo with MethodInfo mi = loadedType.GetMethod(methodBuilder.Name); myDelegate = (MyDelegate)Delegate.CreateDelegate(typeof(MyDelegate), mi); But my class may contain several overloaded methods with the same name. How do I make sure I get the right one? Do methods have some persistent identifier I could look up in loadedType?

    Is it possible to perform a global reversed-find on NHibernate-managed objects? Specifically, I have a persistent class called "Io". There are a huge number of fields across multiple tables which can potentially contain an object of that type. Is there a way (given a specific instance of an Io object), to retrieve a list of objects (of any type) that actually do reference that specific object? (Bonus points if it can identify which specific fields actually contain the reference, but that's not critical.) Since the NHibernate mappings define all the links (and the underlying database has corresponding foreign key links), there ought to be some way to do it.

    My application uses a REST (JAX-RS Jersey) interface. When I run it in Eclipse, everything' s fine. The domain objects are annotated, I'm not using XML files for the REST mapping. Now I created a standalone JAR using the maven-assembly-plugin, which packs the application and all dependencies in a single, executable JAR file. This also seems to work. But when I start the application and request an object from the server, Jersey complains, that it can't find a message body reader: com.sun.jersey.api.client.ClientHandlerException: A message body reader for Java type, class de.rybu.atuin.core.entity.User, and MIME media type, application/json, was not found Any ideas why this happens? EDIT: After I slept a night over it, I noticed that it complains about JSON... but I'm using only XML for serialization. Strange.
