    I am developing a Delphi documents management application, so somehow I am giving the user some functionality similar to windows explorer. I would like to know if there is a way to get the preview used by windows explorer. For example windows explorer creates a small thumbnail for a pdf document for example, and displays it when the user chooses to view "big icons". Is there a way to retrieve that preview?   • Joda Time cannot subtract one hour

    In my android program, I have a spinner that allows the user to select different times. Each selection is processed with Joda time to subtract the minutes. It works fine for minutes 0 to 59 and 61 and greater. However, when 60 minutes is subtracted, the time is not updated, and the original time is shown. How do I get Joda time to subtract 60 minutes? If one wants to design database application using MVC model, where to place TDataSet components? Should they stay on form and therefore be a part of View? Or should they be encapsulated inside some Model object? If the latter how they could be bound to visual components?

    i'm building an Android App that has many many TextView that i want to be clickable. I've tried to assign to the single TextView the properties android:clickable="true" and android:onClick="clickHandler" and when the app fires the clickHandler(View v) i correctly get, through the v.getId(), the clicked item. What i don't like is to define, for every TextView, the properties android:clickable and android:onClick ... is there something that i can do by code to say: "all the textviews are clickable and click is handled in 'clickHandler' ?"     In my routes.rb I have this: map.namespace :admin do |admin| admin.resources :galleries do |galleries| galleries.resources :gallery_images, :as=>'images' end end rake routes shows the route created like this: admin_gallery GET /admin/galleries/:id and when I go to this url in my browser: http://192.168.2.2:3000/admin/galleries/11/ I get this error: Unknown action No action responded to 11 But I would have expected it to use the show action/view, what am I doing wrong?

  • How to avoid keyboard hide & show when focus changes from UITextField and UIWebView?

    I have a requirement in which the view contains one native UITextField and one UIWebView. The issue is if I switch the focus from UITextView to UIWebView, the keyboard window flicker(hides and then shows). ie, I got UIKeyboardWillHideNotification and UIKeyboardDidShowNotification But, this is not happening when I switch the other way. ies, I got only UIKeyboardDidShowNotification Is there any way to avoid this flickering effect? Note: I also notices if I have multiple UITextField and UIWebView, this issue is not happening with the same type of views.

  • Can't get the value of an attribute with Selenium RC using xpath??

    I'm trying to get the first href attribute in a page using Selenium RC (in Python): sel.get_text("xpath=//@href") this returns an empty string. However, an identical xpath on the same page inside Firefox (using the "View XPath" extension) yields the correct value. I've tried fiddling with it, but the same happens for other attributes (eg @class) -- is there something awfully wrong with selenium or am I overlooking something trivial here?

    Now look at that! I am having trouble with one of the simplest goals: updating a plain TextView with the value of a SeekBar. This is my approach: @Override public void onProgressChanged(SeekBar seekBar, int progress, boolean fromUser) { if (fromUser) { mInfoText.setText(mFunction.getUserFriendlyString(progress)); } } It basically works, but it kind of blocks the whole UI when I'm dragging. (Note: I tried both View.post() and Activity.runOnUiThread()). Am I overlooking something?

  • iPhone SDK Zoom like UITextField

    I have noticed in a number of apps they let you see a zoomed in view of where you are dragging just like the way it is on a UITextField (screenshot attached) but it works over images etc.. Does anyone know if there is an easy way to achieve this? Since a number of apps use it I figured that there might be something built in or an easy way to do it. Any tips are appreciated.

What I intend to do is to hook to some system api,like a time interrupt happens every amount of time (which is how every application in the operating system interprets time) and make an application's call to this api return some bigger/smaller result.   • MVC Entity Framework: Cannot open user default database. Login failed.

    This type of stuff drives me nuts. I'm having trouble finding the exact issue that I'm having, maybe I just don't know the terminology. Anyway, I had a working website using MVC and Entity Framework, but then I coded an error in a partial view page (ascx). Then all of a sudden I started to get this message. Cannot open user default database. Login failed. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' I've found plenty of suggestions about opening SQL Server Management Studio, Double Click on Security, Double Click on Logins, Double click on NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM and then double click on User Mapping. In this view I'm suppose to check the box for my database so that this user is mapped to this login. However, since I created my database in Visio Studio 2008 as part of my solution, it doesn't show up to allow me to click on it. So what do I do now? What drives me nuts is that everything was working fine. I was using my computer name to access the website and everything was working fine until the coding error. I've fix the error but still getting the error. I should also mention that this error started yesterday too around the same time but later cleared itself up. If I use localhost to access the site, it works just fine. IIS7 configuration for my website: Application Pool = DefaultAppPool Physical Path Credentials Logon = ClearText With in connection strings. I do see the one for my database in this solution. Entry Type is local metadata=res://*/Models.DataModel.csdl|res://*/Models.DataModel.ssdl|res://*/Models.DataModel.msl; provider=System.Data.SqlClient; provider connection string="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\FFBall.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;MultipleActiveResultSets=True" And somewhere I remember changing the identity from Network Service to LocalSystem. Because when I first stared I was getting this same message, but I changed this value and it started working. I saw that suggested somewhere too but I do not recall. Wait I remember now, I believe in IIS7, under Application Pools, DefaultAppPool identity is set to LocalSystem. Additional things I've tried. Restart the computer Recycle the application pool. Antivirus isn't running. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • I can't send gps values via the eclipse emulator control panel

    I try to send gps longitude and latitude to the android emulator with eclipse, but the values seem to never be set. Instead the onStatusChanged method of my listener is called. Edit I send those values through the emulator controls in the ddms view in eclipse. If I send data via telnet I get the correct data shown and the onLocationChanged method of my listener is changed.
