    Hi there, I am working on a blog for my friend. I want to gift him the blog on his birthday. Just for some fun I want to restrict access to the blog. e.g. The website. www.myfriend.com opens with a splash screen. The screen has his picture and a question regarding him. these questions can be. If you know me.... What is my nickname? Whats my fav. sport? etc etc This restriction should not be based on the default user management offered by Wordpress and should involve a simple answer to a question which is randomly generated from list of questions once the visior gives a correct answer the page redirects to the blog please note even if the user types www.myfriend.com/blog they should be able to see it. this restriction is not a restriction in true sense but just involves some user interaction. Its just for fun but adds a bit of spice. Much appreciated. Thanks.

Basically its a program in Java or PHP that takes a URL as input and outputs the DOM tree which is similar to the output in Firebug HTML window. The best example is Kayak.com where you can not see the resulting DOM displayed on the browser when you 'view source' but can save the resulting HTML though firebug.

I want to deploy it. but getting error: No SharePoint Site exists at the specified URL for the solution I have tried to change the "Start browser with URL" from properties of the project in Debug tab. I gave my site name with port as, http://myserver:500/ but still problem there, when a i say build or deploy. Please guide me.

  • Jquery Ajax Call In For Loop Only Runs Once - Possible Issue with Timing & Exit Condition?

    Background I'm building a form that uses autocomplete against the EchoNest API. First the users picks an artist, using the Artist Suggest call. Next they select a song but the Song and/Or Artist song search doesn't provide a "wild card" search. It only returns exact matches. So based on the forums they suggest building an array of the songs and using auto complete on the array. I can only get a maximum of 100 responses at a time. I do know based on the initial response the number of songs. My Plan: Wrap the ajax call in a for loop ('runonceloop'). Amend the loop exit condition after the first response with the total number of songs. Challenge I'm having: The 'runonceloop' only completes a singe loop because or at least that's what I believe: The exit condition is satisfied before the first response [1] is received. I've tried to adjust the 'exit condition' and 'counter' such that they are set and and increased at the end of the success block. This seems to lock up my browser. Can someone provide some guidance on this situation?[2] I'd really appreciate it. I also don't think turning async off is a good idea because it locks the browser.   • JQuery Autocomplete plugin not working with JQuery 1.4.1

    I've been using the JQuery Autocomplete plugin with JQuery version 1.3.2, and it has been working great. I recently updated JQuery in my project to version 1.4.2, and the Autocomplete plugin is now broken. The JQuery code to add items to a textbox on my web page doesn't seem to be getting called at all. Does anyone know if the JQuery Autocomplete plugin is incompatible with JQuery version 1.4.2, and if there is a fix for this problem?     OK, I searched this question on SO but no good answer. After spent some time I figured out how to do it. I'm going to answer this myself as a way to share it. Not sure if this is the correct way to use SO, but here it goes: Now it is possible delegate OpenID to your Google account (not Google Apps). No, this is not using the demo OpenID provider using App Engine. This is your REAL Google account! First you need to enable your Google Profiles. Try to view your profile and edit it, there should be an option to set your Profile URL. You have two choices there: either use your Gmail account name (without the @gmail.com part) as your profile id, or a random number assigned to you. It's up to you to decide which one to use. Either way, that id is your profile id below. Now add the following HTML code to your delegating page: <link rel="openid2.provider" href="https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud?source=profiles" > <link rel="openid2.local_id" href="http://www.google.com/profiles/[YOUR PROFILE ID]" > And it's done.   • Is it possible to output cache by host name? ie varybyhost or varbyhostheader?

    Hi folks, i've got a website that has a number of host headers. Depending on the host header, the results are different - both visually (theme'd) and data. So lets imagine i have a website called 'Foo' - that returns search results (original, eh?). Now, the same code runs both sites. It is physically the same server/website (using Host Headers) :- www.foo.com www.foo.com.au Now, if i goto '.com', the site is theme'd in blue. if i goto the '.com.au' site, it's theme'd in red. And the data is different for the same search result, based on the host name (ie. us results for .com, au results for .com.au) SO .. if i wish to use OutputCaching .. can this be handled / differ by the host name? I don't want to have the first person goto the .com site .. grab the results ... and the a second person goto my .com.au .. same search data .. and get the theme and results for the .com site. Possible?

  • Script files returning 404 Error.

    Hi, I'm using ASP.Net and whenever I create a script file or try to include a script file like jQuery they aren't working. I am doing just a regular localhost server and none of the scripts are working. Upon further examination using firebug I look at whats being referenced in those scripts and it shows html code for a 404 error. I know the scripts and files are there and I can navigate directly to them in the browser but for some reason I can't reference them in my page. Here is a screenshot:

  • ASP.NET MVC on GoDaddy Not Working (Not Primary Domain Deployment)

    I am trying to get ASP.NET MVC working on GoDaddy and I'm not having much luck. I have read the post on SO that covers the subject, but I must have a slightly different configuration or must be missing somehting along the way because the main MVC page comes up, but all links seem to fail and no amount of tweaking the URLs seems to get it to work. A little back ground. I have a single hosting plan with many domains pointed to sub folders of the main domain. Basic ASP.NET web forms pages work just fine, but of course I wanted to try and host a sample MVC site in one of these non-primary domains. You can go to the URL here. As you can see this first page comes up, but if you click on Home or About it doesn't work. Clicking on Home creates this link "http://www.jprescottsanders.com/jps/" and clicking on about creates this link "http://www.jprescottsanders.com/jps/Home/About". As you can see JPS sneaks in there, this of course is the sub folder that i place my web app files in. I would like to know if this is a MVC related issue or a GoDaddy issue. I suspect that MVC may want to sit in the root directory of the site, and when it puts the "jps" into the URLs it breaks the routing mechanisms (but this is conjecture). I know Dan said this was possible so I'm hoping he sees this and helps me get to the bottom of this deployment strategy for MVC.

  • kohana project structure

    Hello Guys. I'm investigating using Kohana for my next project. The site will consist of user registration (and hence user profiles) where users will have certain privileges. The site will also have an admin section where administrators can go to say block a user or delete a post or look at usage statistics for example. A good comparison site would be a multi-user blog, where each blogger depending on her/his permissions can post/edit/delete blogs...just as an example. Firstly, I'm not sure about how to set up the controller/view structure in order to separate the admin section from the front facing site. I'm using Kohana 3, so I was thinking of a controller structure like so: application/classes/controller/front (front facing)...and application/classes/controller/admin (for administrative section). Or I notice you may be able to use the Route class to set up routes, so I could set up an "admin" route. for example: www.example.com/admin will lead to the admin logon screen. www.example.com --- front controller. As well, can I somehow separate the "Admin" views and controllers from the "front facing" views and controllers like divide them up based on folder structure? Any help is very much appreciated.     I am trying to create JSF 2 pages. When I create pages using facelets template I get message on top that "The project is not configured for Facelets yet. You need to add a Facelets runtime to the project's classpath".     Hi, I have created a standalone XUL application, and I copied "NPSWF32.dll"(flash plugin dll) to the "plugins" folder under the browser. When I launch the application, flash content is not getting displayed. If I set the MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH to the "plugins" directory before launching the application, everything is working as expected. Could someone tell me, what I needs to do in order to load the flash plugin automatically from the "plugins" folder. Thanks, Rajeesh

    When I try to open the following video: http://streaming1.hss-win.rpi.edu/ondemand/cogsci/issues_in_cs/issues_in_cogsci_02_04_2009.asf I can get it but without any sound... I tried it both inside the browser (Firefox) and in QuickTime Media player but still it does not work. Any idea how to get this to work on Mac OS X? Using version 10.6. thank you.

Any ideas?

Thats the weird part. Out of the 100 times I've logged in and out - I've experienced this problem 5-6 times and 2 of my beta test users have reported the same issue. So when it works- if u click the logout link - u get the facebook popup saying - you being logged out - when it does'nt work - absolutely nothing happens - the page does not refresh - it just sits on that page doing nothing.
