  • Adobe Reader unable to open downloaded file in IE6

    I'm working on a web app that allows users to downloaded dynamically generated PDF files. This works fine in IE8 and Firefox but fails in IE6 with Adobe Reader giving the message "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found" If I save the file to disk first then it opens fine in Reader. I've given the file a simple short filename, without spaces so not sure what else to try. Any suggestions are very welcome.

    Hi, I am trying to broadcast a message through the Node.js service socket.io (http://socket.io/) to certain subset of all subscribers. To be more exact, I would like to use channels that users can subscribe to, in order to efficiently push messages to a couple hundred people at the same time. I'm not really sure if addEvent('channel_name',x) is the way to go. I have not found anything in the docs. Any ideas? Thanks Mat

    Hi, I'm sending email with PHP's mail function. It works just as it should except all email clients show blank From-field. Here's how i'm using the function: mail( '[email protected]', "Example subject", $msg, implode( "\r\n", array( Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8', 'From: [email protected]') ) ); As i said everything works fine except From field is all blank when the message arrives. Any ideas why this is happening?

This question contains sample code that demonstrates the C++ approach. Of course it would be possible to build a managed C++ assembly to perform this function for C# and VB.NET code, but I'm wondering: is there a way to translate COM error codes using the .NET system libraries?

I have used the following code in my Application Delegate and passed an instance of UINavigationController in the place of navigationController [FlurryAPI logAllPageViews:navigationController]; But while checking the Page views in the Flurry website it is showing the message like this: You are not currently tracking Page View data. Is there something that I have to enable in the flurry website itself?

    I'm trying to build an JEE6-application on Glassfish V3, using JSF 2.0, Weld, JPA2 and Maven. Now i'm having trouble getting a simple <a4j:support> running. This is the fragment of my little example. When typing something into the inputtext, the outputtext should automatically be updated. Is it "built-in" in glassfish?     We are having problems on one machine, with the error message: "MSDTC on server XXX is unavailable." The code is using a TransactionScope to wrap some LingToSql database code; there is also some raw Ado.net inside of the transaction. As only a single sql database (2005) is being accessed, why is a distributed transaction being used at all? (I don’t wish to know how to enable MSDTC, as the code needs to work on the server with their current setup)

But i get an error at the secod data grid when i want to view the result of my sql code.
