Chrome starts to load image then show broken link icon

Chrome (21.0.1180.79 m) On several random pages it has started to load an image and then suddenly the image disappears and there's only the broken image icon. If I right click the icon and choose to open the image in another window then the image opens, so it seems to me that it isn't a problem with the page? Applying JQuery UI css to a textarea element

Hi. I'm using JQuery UI for a web based development at the University. I got some forms that I put into a dialog, so I got elements like <label for="name">ID user</label><input type="text" name="iduser" size="15" id="iduser" class="text ui-widget-content ui-corner-all" maxlength=12 /> But I got some textarea elements like <label for="name">Description</label><textarea name="description" id="description" class="text ui-widget-content ui-corner-all" value=""></textarea> The issue: textarea is not taking the css as inputs does, I mean, I got corner rounder textarea as input texts but the font size and font family don't.

Syntax for "RETURNING" clause in Mysql PDO

I'm trying to add a record, and at the same time return the id of that record added. I read it's possible to do it with a RETURNING clause. $stmt->prepare("INSERT INTO tablename (field1, field2) VALUES (:value1, :value2) RETURNING id"); but the insertion fails when I add RETURNING. There is an auto-incremented field called id in the table being added to. Can someone see anything wrong with my syntax? or maybe PDO does not support RETURNING?

Mysql query - problem with order by

I'm using two tables for selecting messages between users. Table "messages" for recording the messages and table "members" for checking users data (are they activ or deleted). This query working fine. What I need to do is list the received messsages order by last received. I tried to do with "ORDER BY messages.id DESC" at the end of this query but it didn't work. All messages are listed from first received. This is the mysql join table query that I'm using: sql = "select distinct messages.fromid, messages.readed, messages.fromid, messages.toid, members.id as pid From messages Inner Join members on members.id = messages.fromid Where messages.toid = ".$mid." Trigger the change event of a textbox in jQuery

I have an asp:TextBox with asp:RegularExpressionValidator to validate if it's a number. Obviously an onchange event will be attached to this textbox while rendering. Also I add a change event at $(document).ready to make some calculation when the value is changed. <asp:TextBox id="myText" runat="server" /> <asp:regularexpressionvalidator id="myRev" ControlToValidate="myText" runat="server">*</asp:regularexpressionvalidator> $(document).ready(function(){ $('[id$=myText]').bind('change',function(){ //do something }).change(); //force the change event at the very beginning }); My function will be executed later than the .net generated js because of the register time. But the .net js throws an error. I traced in the js: function ValidatorOnChange(event) { ... } and found that all of event.fromElement,event.toElement,event.srcElement are null which causes the exception. Did I do something wrong? Any solutions? Thanks.

Mysql two table query

I'm using two tables. First (friendlist), which contains users who are on the list of friends and the other table (members) that contains the basic data of the users. Friendlist looks like: id | myid | date | user ----------------------------------------- 001 | 50624 | 2010-01-01 | 32009 002 | 41009 | 2010-05-05 | 50624 003 | 50624 | 2010-03-02 | 23007 The column "myid" contains members who added other users (those from column "user") to their frindlist. I want to get the list of all users that I have added to list and those who add me to their friendlist. In this example, if my id is 50624, the list would look like: | allfriends | --------------- 32009 41009 23007 Then I need to check all users from "allfriend" list with data from the table "members". I want to get only the users with status 1. The members table looks like: id | status | photo -------------------------------- 32009 | 0 | 1.jpg 41009 | 1 | 2.jpg 23007 | 1 | 3.jpg How this mysql query should look like? Thanks for any help.

User to kernel mode big picture?

I've to implement a char device, a LKM. I know some basics about OS, but I feel I don't have the big picture. In a C programm, when I call a syscall what I think it happens is that the CPU is changed to ring0, then goes to the syscall vector and jumps to a kernel memmory space function that handle it. (I think that it does int 0x80 and in eax is the offset of the syscall vector, not sure). Then, I'm in the syscall itself, but I guess that for the kernel is the same process that was before, only that it is in kernel mode, I mean the current PCB is the process that called the syscall. So far... so good?, correct me if something is wrong. Others questions... how can I write/read in process memory?. If in the syscall handler I refer to address, say, 0xbfffffff. What it means that address? physical one? Some virtual kernel one?

select from varchar2 column with numeric value sometimes gives invalid number error

I'm trying to understand why, on some systems, I get an invalid number error message when I'm trying to select a value from a varchar2 column while on other systems I don't get the error while doing the exact same thing. The table is something like this: ID Column_1 Column_2 1 V text 2 D 1 3 D 2 4 D 3 and a query: select ID from table where column_1='D' and column_2 = :some_number_value :some_number_value is always numeric but can be null. We've fixed the query: select ID from table where column_1='D' and column_2 = to_char(:some_number_value) This original query runs fine on most systems but on some systems gives an "invalid number" error. The question is why? Why does it work on most systems and not on some?

Hiding Options of a Select with JQuery

Okay, let's start with an example. Keep in mind, this is only an example. <select id = "selection1"> <option value = "1" id = "1">Number 1</option> <option value = "2" id = "2">Number 2</option> <option value = "3" id = "3">Number 3</option> </select> Now from here, we have a dropdown with 3 options. What I want to do now is to hide an option. Adding style = "display:none" will not help. The option would not appear in the dropdownlist, but using the arrow keys, you can still select it. Essentially, it does exactly what the code says. It isn't displayed, and it stops there. A JQuery function of $("#1").hide() will not work. Plus, I don't only want to hide the option, I want to completely remove it. Any possibility on doing so? Do I have to use parent/sibling/child elements? If so, I'm still not sure how. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Another question - It's related Ok, so I found out that there is a .remove() available in JQuery. Works well. But what if I want to bring it back? if(condition) { $(this).remove(); } I can loops this. Shouldn't be complicated. asp:Validator in invisible elements + invisible targets

Somewhat straightforward: will asp:Validators still perform validation when they're in invisible containers? How about if their ControlToValidate target is invisible? For example: <asp:Panel id="myPanel" runat="server" visible="false"> <asp:Textbox id="myTextbox" runat="server" /> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator id="myRfv" runat="server" controltovalidate="myTextbox" /> </asp:Panel> Above is a Validator in an invisible Panel. Would myRfv still perform validation? How about if myTextbox is invisible instead? I'm asking this because I have very specialized Validators in my ASPX, wherein I also have Panels which are hidden/shown dynamically. While I'm all for disabling the validators themselves, I'm just curious whether they'll automatically disable anyway. Thanks guys! :D

How to customise the TextView inside a Spinner?

I have a Spinner with an ArrayAdapter that feeds Values into it. The Problem is that the text is to long for the view and the result is a very very ugly spinner. As can be seen in the screenshot: I tried to pass the Id of my own TextView into the Adapter but everytime the spinner should be shown I get an Exception that the Id I supplied is not valid: 04-26 17:38:39.695: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(4276): android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f09003a type #0x12 is not valid Where do I have to define the TextView? In a separate xml file? With a surrounding viewgroup? It would help me a lot if I could see an example of the adapter initialization and the textview definition?

Uniquely Identify ImageButtons placed Programmatically

Hi, I have been placing several ImageButtons programmatically in a TableLayout, every ImageButton has it's own Drawable resource as a Background. I use an XML description for the layout of the ImageButton itself and afterwards use the LayoutInflater to retrieve such an ImageButton (called genre_cell.xml): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ImageButton xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/genreCellItemId" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" android:paddingLeft="5dip" android:paddingRight="5dip"> </ImageButton> And in my class I do : myButton = (ImageButton) inflater.inflate(R.layout.genre_cell, row, false); I have actually attached an onClickListener on every ImageButton, but now I'd like to uniquely identify which ImageButton has been clicked... I thought that maybe I could somehow retrieve the Drawable's ID used for the background and check that one with the available Drawable's int values ? Is this an option and if so how should it be implemented ? Also are there any other options ?

Hi, I have a bunch of items – for simplicity reasons – a flat table with unique names seeded via bulk insert: create table #items ( ItemName NVARCHAR(255) ) The database has this structure: create table Statements ( Id INT IDENTITY NOT NULL, Version INT not null, FurtherDetails varchar(max) null, ProposalDateTime DATETIME null, UpdateDateTime DATETIME null, ProposerFk INT null, UpdaterFk INT null, primary key (Id) ) create table Item ( StatementFk INT not null, ItemName NVARCHAR(255) null, primary key (StatementFk) ) Here Item is a child of Statement (inheritance). I would like to insert items in #items using a set based approach (avoiding triggers and loops). Can this be achieved with OUTPUT in my scenario. A ‘loop based’ approach is just too slow where I use something like this: insert into Statements (Version, FurtherDetails, ProposalDateTime, UpdateDateTime, ProposerFk, UpdaterFk) VALUES (1, null, getdate(), getdate(), @user_id, @user_id) etc. This is a start for the OUTPUT based approach – but I am not sure whether this would work in my case as ItemName is only inserted into Item: insert into Statements ( Version, FurtherDetails, ProposalDateTime, UpdateDateTime, ProposerFk, UpdaterFk ) output inserted.Id ... ??? When you'r adding a list of items, I do something like: var template = new Template("<li id='list#{id}'>#{value}</li>"); var arrayTemplate = []; arrayOfItem.each(function(item, index){ arrayTemplate.push(template.evaluate( id : index, value : item)) }); after this two options add the list via "update" or "insert" ----- $("elementToUpdate").update("<ul>" + arrayTemplate.join("") + "</ul">); the question is how can I add the event handler without repeat the process of read the array, this is because if you try add a Event before the update or insert you will get an Error because the element isn't still on the DOM. so what I'm doing by now is after insert or update: arrayOfItem.each(function(item, index){ $("list" + index).observe("click", function(){ alert("I see the world"); }) }); so the question is exist a better way to doing this??????

When an LDAP user logs into the system they have incorrect permissions to their home directory. LDAP and NFS services exist on the same server.
