  • Android - BaseGameUtil Complicated Import

    I've seen many topics in stackoverflow, such as Cannot import BaseGameUtils (Eclipse weirdness) and Android: cannot import BaseGameUtils successfully in Eclipse but none resolved my problem. I've followed https://developer.android.com/google/play-services/setup.html#Setup - the Add Google Play Services to Your Project [Using Eclipse with ADT], I THINK my project correctly references the google play services lib since up to that point nothing wrong happened. Then, following https://developers.google.com/games/services/android/quickstart, I've downloaded BaseGameUtils but when I import the two projects [TypeANumber & BaseGameUtil], they came named as main and MainActivity. I've renamed BaseGameUtil as so and have marked it as lib and imported it to my project through Properties Android Library, but I can't extend extend a class from BaseGameUtil because it's not even suggested. Also, I have not installed Android L and Android 4.4W from SDK Manager in Eclipse, altough I think that's no the case. Can anyone please help in this? Thanks so much in advance

  • How to replicate Google "Hangouts On Air" stream combining functionality?

    I've been researching this one for quite a bit but haven't found any solid leads. I have a Wowza/Flash app with video chatroom functionality and would like to combine the streams server-side into one video/audio stream in order to be sent to a live Youtube channel. I've found a couple projects such as jMixer and some helpful keywords such as "vision mixer" to help with my search but looking for any previous experience or new ideas. The other option is building something like it myself with a commercial video decoding/encoding library to raw frames, stitching the frames together, then encoding it. I was originally going down this route but put project on hold. What are some ideas, keywords, or existing software (open source preferred) to take those live streams and combine them into one in real-time? Or is coding it myself the required route? Thanks!

    I am writing a python package. I am using the concept of plugins - where each plugin is a specialization of a Worker class. Each plugin is written as a module (script?) and spawned in a separate process. Because of the base commonality between the plugins (e.g. all extend a base class 'Worker'), The plugin module generally looks like this: import commonfuncs def do_work(data): # do customised work for the plugin print 'child1 does work with %s' % data In C/C++, we have include guards, which prevent a header from being included more than once. Do I need something like that in Python, and if yes, how may I make sure that commonfuncs is not 'included' more than once?

    I am working on a project in which I have around 100000 addreses in major cities in India(it is a table in a database). I want to know if it is possible to obtain the distances to to nearest landmarks (Mall, Hospital, and Airport etc.). Ideally I want these distances to be mergeed to the parent table. We have Java and Php coders to get it done once we find out how to go about it. Any pointers will be of great help. Thank you.

  • Java Authenticator on a per connection basis?

    I'm building an Eclipse plugin that talks to a REST interface which uses Basic Authentication. When the authentication fails I would like to popup my plugin's settings dialog and retry. Normally I could use the static Authenticator.setDefault() to setup an authenticator for all HttpURLConnection's for this, but since I am writing a plugin I don't want to overwrite Eclipse's default Authenticator (org.eclipse.ui.internal.net.auth); I thought of setting my custom Authenticator before loading and putting Eclipse's default back afterwards, but I imagine this will cause all sorts of race issues with multithreading so I quickly lost that notion. Google searches yield all sorts of results basically telling me it's not possible: The Java URLConnection API should have a setAuthenticator(Authenticator) method for making it easier to use this class in multi-threaded context where authentication is required. Source If applications contains few third party plugins and each plugin use its own Authenticator what we should do? Each invocation of "Authenticator.setDefault()" method rewrite previously defined Authenticator... Source Are there any different approaches that might help me overcome this issue?

I plan to make this as powerful as possible and adding a map can help get rid of excuses such as "I didn't know where it was". I have been unable to find any simple solutions to embed maps into my Rails apps so far. An important issue is I need Rails 3 Compatibility. What are your suggestions? Gems, plugins or even something totally different?

  • Cannot log in to the desktop on ubuntu 11.10?

    The problem is, I could log in under the terminal, i could ifup eth0, i could do anything I want in the terminal, but if I use ctrl+alt+f7 goto the gnome login screen, after I input the correct password, the system just send me back to same login screen again. I have created a new user, but it didn't work. I have change all the files under ~/ to jichao:jichao(which is my username) with chown -hR jichao:jichao /home/jichao, but it didn't work too. I searched the internet, somebody said I should see the logs under /var/log/gdm, but there is not a /var/log/gdm directory in my box.   • Can't install any drivers at all on Windows 8. Error 0x000003F9

    I suddenly can't install any drivers at all on my Windows 8 Pro x64 install. It doesn't matter what kind of driver it is, nothing will install. Everything ends with error 0x000003F9: The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format. When Windows Update tries to install a driver, it just gives error code 800703F9 and says that "Windows Update ran into a problem." I've already done a scan of system files with sfc, tried another user account, done a chkdsk, and a few more things, but nothing works. The problem started when I tried to install drivers for my printer earlier today and suddenly started getting messages saying that "Windows Modules Installer has stopped working." I decided to restart and was being greeted with the recovery boot options. I shut the computer down, but when I booted it back up the same thing happened, so I did a repair your pc, and was able to boot into the OS properly. Then I rebooted into my external drive and did a chkdsk on the Windows 8 install that started acting funny. When I booted back into Windows 8, I wasn't able to install any drivers. They all keep coming up with the same error. And I can't seem to find anything at all on this issue. Any help would be much appreciated.     Telnet from my mac OSx doesn't work while it works from the AWS instances and other networks. I have no local firewalls. Since using the 2008 R2 DNS services we have noticed every couple of days the DNS server starts timing out when requests to certain sites are made (google is the only example I can provide at this time although it seems to be larger sites with problems rather than small - CDN compatiblity issue?). When you restart the DNS Server service then resolution returns to normal... just only for a day or so. Is anybody aware of any significant changes to the DNS server architecture or configuration out of the box in R2 that may explain this intermittent behaviour?     Problem: On my wireless network at home, there is one URL that I just cannot access with my browser: http://research.microsoft.com/ I have no problems with the Internet connection otherwise. I am using a DSL modem (Westell) and Linksys wireless router (using DHCP). When I use my neighbor's wireless connection I can access the microsoft site without a problem. Google Sitemap Generator adds an include to an external conf in my httpd.conf as follows: Listen 8181 NameVirtualHost *:8181 <VirtualHost *:8181> DocumentRoot "/usr/local/google-sitemap-generator/admin-console" ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "/usr/local/google-sitemap-generator/admin-console/cgi-bin/" <Directory "/usr/local/google-sitemap-generator/admin-console"> Allow from all Options ExecCGI DirectoryIndex index.html </Directory> </VirtualHost> LoadModule google_sitemap_generator_module /usr/local/google-sitemap-generator/lib/mod_sitemap.so After installation I should be able to navigate to myserverip:8181 and access the GSG console. Unfortunately my browser throws up "Safari can’t open the page “http://myserverip:8181/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding." I've checked the port with netstat and nmap, and it's open and listening. I've added a rule to allow traffic on 8181 in iptables, but no joy. Is there anything obvious I could be missing?   • Why can't I route to some sites from my MacBook Pro that I can see from my iPad?

    I am on M1 Cable (residential) broadband in Singapore. I have an intermittent problem routing to some sites from my MacBook Pro—often Google-related sites (arduino.googlecode.com and ajax.googleapis.com right now, but sometimes even gmail.com.) This prevents StackExchange chat from working, for instance. Funny thing is, my iPad can route to those sites and they're on the same wireless network! I can ping the sites, but not traceroute to them which I find odd. That I can get through via the iPad implies the problem is with the MBP. In any case, calling M1 support is... not helpful. I get the same behaviour when I bypass the Airport Express entirely and plug the MBP directly into the cable modem. [For extra flavour, not being able to access the above appears to stop me logging in to Server Fault via OpenID and formatting the above traceroutes correctly. Anyone with sufficient rep here to do so, I'd be much obliged.]

  • Tell postfix to merge three Authentication-Results:-Lines into one?

    I am running a postfix mta with debian wheezy. I am using postfix-policyd-spf-python, openkdim and opendmarc. When receiving e-mails from google (google apps with own domain) for example, the header looks like this: [...] Authentication-Results: mail.xx.de; dkim=pass reason="1024-bit key; insecure key" header.d=yyy.com [email protected] header.b=OswLe0N+; dkim-adsp=pass; dkim-atps=neutral<br> [...] Authentication-Results: mail.xx.de; spf=pass (sender SPF authorized) smtp.mailfrom=yyy.com (client-ip=2a00:1450:400c:c00::242; helo=mail-wg0-x242.google.com; [email protected]; [email protected]) [...] Authentication-Results: mail.xx.de; dmarc=pass header.from=yyy.com<br> [...] This means any of these programs creates it's own Authentication-Results:-Line. Is it possible to tell postfix to merge this into one single Authentication-Results:-Line? When I send an e-mail to google, it says: [...] Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=pass (google.com: domain of [email protected] designates xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx as permitted sender) [email protected]; dkim=pass [email protected]; dmarc=pass (p=NONE dis=NONE) header.from=xxx.com [...] And this is exactly what I want.
