  • problem when opening new window in asp.net application, new window didnt show anything

    Hello I have an asp.net application which I used some Ajax method. in some cases I open an new window ( Full Screen ) and users must work on it. the problem is , some users report me that some times new window was blank and didnt show any content , in status bar just write connecting .... and nothing else. Just when customers closed all opening browser and open again , they can view pages. this happend when users work for a while and click open new window links before the page loaded compeletly. how can I fix this problem? regards

    Hi there, This is a two-part question. I'm using jQuery for a project and wanting to click a link and toggle the class name "highlight" to that link and also to the div with the same id as the rel attribute of the link. I then want to be able to link to the next div without the classname of "highlight".     Hi, I'm looking for a tool that checks JS code, which can be integrated into a Maven build. I need a tool that will check for errors such as use of reserved words as identifiers trailing semi-colon, e.g. var obj = { a: 1, b, 2, } JSLint seems like a perfect candidate, but the problem is that it is too strict, because it also checks for various coding patterns which are (arguably) bad style, but do not actually generate errors in a browser. Examples of such issues include Disallow ++ and -- and Allow one var statement per function If possible, I would like the errors to fail the build, and I would like the other rules to only print warnings (or disable them completely). Obviously, I need the ability to specify which of the available rules I consider errors and which I consider warnings. Thanks, Don

In plain english I want to look at each firstname in array1 and see if it exists at all in array2 as the value associated with the userName property.

    There are plenty of solutions on how to get the indexOf implementation into the Array prototype so that it works under Internet Explorer, however I've stumbled upon an issue that doesn't seem to be addressed anywhere I've looked so far.     Hello, I have another problem, and because the reply is to fast here i come back again !! I would like to use "key navigation" and for that, i use the keypress event with down/up key ) When my mouse is over a div (div who's contenaing a big table) and i pull the down key : i scroll to next td + change css style + remove the current style And again, for each event.. So, because my mouse is over the main div, each time i scroll (auto) to a element, the mouseover event is triggered .. And so, the effect is missed.. This is the perfect script : User use keyboard navigation : Mouseover is disabled (so style change only with up/down key) User don't use keyboard : mouseover change the style Could you help me ?     I have the following code: var selected = $('#hiddenField').val().split(","); ... if (selected.indexOf(id) > 0) { ... set value ... } I'm dynamically creating a CheckBoxList, and trying to remember the state of the checkboxes by putting the selected IDs into the hidden field. I get an error stating that "Object doesn't support this property or method". My assumption is that selected is an array, which should support indexOf. Is that incorrect?

    HTML code is: <li> <a href="#" /> <ul> <li> <a href="#"/> </li> </ul> </li> I want to delete any node under $(this) = li that is not a link. If there are more than one link, just the first one is saved, and if there are links inside the ul tag, they are not included because they are descendants and no childrens. Something like this (I am cloning and outputting html): $(this).clone().remove('not(a:first)').html(); //Assuming remove looks for "a" as a first child Does not work, so I try with this: $(this).clone().children().remove('not(a:first)').parent().html(); Does not work so I try with this: $(this).clone().remove('not(>a:first)').html(); I need the original element as a reference after removal for chaining more operations EDIT: Ok! Second one works with a little syntax correction as some appointed (:not( instead of not() but I would like to know if there is any other solution similar to the third line so I don't have to do children().remove().parent().   • How to make flash movie to scale proportunatly to div width?

    I have put together an example page detailing my problem My website is going to have a main wrapper that is set to a max-width property for compatible browsers. It will stretch to 940px across at max. When scaled down I would like the swf to scale proportionately with it. Like an image with width percent applied. The flash movie has the dimensions of 940 × 360 pixels. I can't seem to figure out the correct attributes to add to the embed tag to get it to do this. I am currently using jquery flash embed, but am open to other options, though this is my ideal. In the example I have set the flash background to black. When resize the browser window the flash movie doesn't scale proportionately to the div, only the photo does, leaving a blank canvas (black), while the div height stays the same. I can't add a height value in the CSS. How do I make this scale correctly? Adding a noscale param only crops the image. The swf's height doesn't scale also. All of my code can be viewed in the linked examples source.
