  (I'm not 100% sure where networking/router questions go this is my best guess) I have a astaro (sophos) white UTM 120 router for work I also have about 11 Voip phones with an externaly hosted pbx (company name = pingtone) Is there any advantage to setting up the phones on a vlan vs making a qos rule that all traffic to my tftp server gets right of way? networking is still a little soft to me Thanks

  I have a system I need to duplicate over several systems and make minor changes like change less/css variables and configuration files. Is there a best practice for these kind of problems? I currently do: git clone repo cp ../default/config.js config.js ... for several files or should I create different branches of the same repo or should I create an repo for the changes? It is currently doable but it will get annoying if I get more than 5 similar systems.

  Hi guys I have installed a samba PDC but when I test the samba configurations file I am getting errors like these, "Invalid combination of parameters for service homes. Map system can only work if create mask includes octal 010 (S_IXGRP)." • Strange network traffic on my dedicated server. How to find out what is causing it

  I noticed a trange outgoing traffic in my dedicated server. I'd like to know how could I find out what is the reason to this. One day traffic One week traffic As you can see, there are bursts of spikes to over 20 megs of outgoing traffic. There is always a lower of outgoing data, before the burst. Is there any command I could use to know with application is causing this? Sorry I couldn't express using the best form.

  On Linux, we can simply do: cp -pr directory How to do that in Windows? Can it be done in Windows Explorer? Any GUI tool suggestions? It would be the best if I can keep the NTFS permissions and creation/modification/access time. At a minimum, I need to preserve the modification date for the files and the directories. Windows Explorer's copy does not preserve the modification date for directories.

This is first time I see something like this happen to shell in Windows 7, as you can see, tabs and buttons in some programs, or control panel (see screenshot) are like those in basic Windows theme.   Anyone know why doesn't the Windows command prompt window maximize to the full screen size? To the best of my knowledge, even in the new Windows 7 the command prompt window(cmd.exe) doesn't maximize to the full screen size like all other windows. This behavior is quite annoying for me, and I'm sure to many others as well. Note: The size of the command prompt window can be changed, but the size remains fixed regardless of the screen size.

For best performance, especially time to open the solution and compiling time, would it be better to install VS 2010 on the SSD or install it on the HDD.
