  I am trying to write a pre-qualification programming exam, hopefully using Google Forms... however they seem to be unable to do new-lines in both the questions and the section headers... My current format is new page for each question, with a "section header" as the main question (because it has a textarea for the "code snippet") and a "multiple choice question" as the ummm... question answer... • Watir question regarding select_list and reloading

  I have a drop down with multiple options. Whenever you choose an option, the page reloads with data specific with that option. Currently I'm using select.list(:name, strg).set(value) and it does that part just fine, but it does not reload the page with the specific data. Anyone know how to help. When i watch it in action, it doesn't select the option either, but my logs show that it does.Thanks.

  I have a custom model class with an NSMutableData ivar that will be accessed by custom NSOperation subclasses (using an NSOperationQueue). I think I can guarantee thread-safe access to the ivar from multiple NSOperations by using dependencies, and I can guarantee that I don't access the ivar from other code (say my main app thread) by waiting until the Q has finished all operations. Should I use a nonatomic property specification, or leave it atomic? Is there a significant impact on performance?

  I am making a game in Flash CS4 (actionscript 3) and I would like to be able to make "copies" of an instance that would randomly appear at the top of the screen and fall. For example, multiple objects(that are the same one) are falling from the top of the screen continuously, starting at random X positions. (i think this would be considered Real-Time effect).   I'm trying to query a database, and return a set of values. Part of the data i'm trying to return is an insurance premium breakdown. Is it possible to run a query, that selects multiple fields, then adds then and returns them as a single value? I've seen SUM() but the examples i've seen show it as adding up the results of an entire field - where as i need it to add specific fields for each row returned. Any help is much appreciated.

Or in java: (Math.pow(x,2)) + (x * 5) + 10The user would then enter that and then the program would solve for x. I will be using the BeanShell Interpreter class to interpret the string as an equation. But how would I solve for x?

  Inserting (pasting from clipboard) of text constants in the Delphi code editor requires some manual "postprocessing" ... split up long text into multiple lines (and insert the string concatenation symbol) escape quotes (replace single quotes with double quotes) enclose the string with quotes keep original white space (leadinng blanks, line feeds) Is there a IDE plugin available which helps to reduce these manual steps?
