  There is a bug in Grails preventing me from using removeFrom* when the node I'm trying to remove is extending the collection type. Removing the node directly from the association won't update the second level cache. A hasMany B Is there any way to manually invalidate or force a reload on an association cache? Invoking refresh() on the many side didn't do the trick.

The plugin generate gsp files, so I think that I can use the online haml html generator. Bug I want something like an editor with syntax highlithing, blocks, etc, and that generate html.   Grails, by default, is case-sensitive when mapping URL to controller actions or views. For instance, www.mywebsite.com/book/list will work BUT www.mywebsite.com/Book/list will return a 404 page. What can I do (code snippets are welcomed) to make my URL case-insensitive (i.e. www.mywebsite.com/Book/list being a valid url) ?

  One of the things I liked about freemarker is that you can quickly create new macros that encapsulate complex html to make the pages smaller and more concise. Do I have to make tag libraries to do the same thing in grails, or is there a really light-weight syntax for achieving the same thing?

  I'm trying to use gorm find method on my domain class, inside of an Spock Integration Spec. My code: class myDomainClassSpec extends IntegrationSpec{ ... def 'my test'() { when: ... then: MyDomainClass.find { id == 1 } } ... } This fails, throwing: groovy.lang.MissingPropertyException: No such property: id for class: grails.gorm.DetachedCriteria If instead I code: MyDomainClass.findAll().find { id == 1 } it works. Any ideas??

  Hi I'm fighting to get the following mapping working in Grails 1.3.1 and MySQL: class Login { int id String email static mappings = { table 'my_table' id column: "Mgr_id" version: false } } No matter what I do the queries that are being issued refer to "schema.login" table instead of "schema.my_table". This is very frustrating... Can anyone answer why this might not be working?

  I am currently working with User objects -- each of which have many Goal objects. The Goal objects are not User specific, that is, Users can share the same Goal. I am attempting to fashion a way to calculate a "similarity percentage" between two Users... (i.e., taking into account how many Goals they share as well as how many Goals they do not share) Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?   I am working on an application where the app user can create / delete queues . Also , he would be able to move a message from 1 queue to another, delete a message , rearrange the messages in the queue based on some filter. One possible design is to use activemq for queues and apache camel for various other operations having integrated with Grails. But I am not sure whether ActiveMQ allows creation /deleltion queues at runtime. Would this be a good choice to implement such system?

  I have a partial view which uses Jquery Valiation. This works OK when initially loaded, however after I do a ajax postback and return the partial view from the server with an error showing, the jquery validation seems to be lost. In that, if I delete a required field and hit save the partial view gets submitted, when I would expect it to show an error message and not get submitted. Does Jquery validation need to be initialised somehow for the form in the partial view?
