Ext GWT (GXT) tooltip over a grid row

I'm developing a custom tooltip using Ext GWT (GXT) for a project of mine, and this tooltip has to appear over Grid rows when they're selected. I can't use the default GXT tooltip or quicktip because I need be able to add Components (like buttons) to this tooltip. The problem is that the GXT Grid component doesn't expose a event related to mousing over a row (although there's RowClick and RowMouseDown). I tried adding a listener to the Grid with the OnMouseOver and OnMouseOut events anyway, but it doesn't work as expected. It fires these events up whenever you mouse over any of the divs and spans that composes a row. The only way I see to solve this is to subclass the GridView component and make each row become a Component itself, but that would be a lot of work and would probably impact performance as well. I can't help but think there's a better way to do this. Could someone more experienced with GXT give me a light?

jqGrid footer cells "inherits" CSS from cells in the main grid

I have a footerrow in my jqGrid where I sum up the values in some of the columns. I set the footer using the 'footerData' function when the grid has completed loading. This requires the 'footerrow' property in the grid-options to be set to 'true'. Some of the columns which I don't sum up have CSS applied to them (to show some icons in the cells), which is set using the 'classes' property in the colModel API. The problem is that these CSS-classes are also applied to the cells in the footerrow. I don't want them applied there, but I don't know how to prevent them from being shown. I tried to use jQuery to remove the 'class' property from the td elements after calling the 'footerData' function. The problem is that while the grid is loading, the icons are flashed to the user. How can I prevent the CSS from being applied in the first place?

Coordinates in distorted grid

I have a grid in a 2D system like the one in the before image where all points A,B,C,D,A',B',C',D' are given (meaning I know the respective x- and y-coordinates). I need to calculate the x- and y-coordinates of A(new), B(new), C(new) and D(new) when the grid is distorted (so that A' is moved to A'(new), B' is moved to B'(new), C' is moved to C'(new) and D' is moved to D'(new)). The distortion happens in a way in which the lines of the grid are each divided into sub-lines of equal length (meaning for example that AB is divided into 5 parts of the equal length |AB|/5 and A(new)B(new) is divided into 5 parts of the equal length |A(new)B(new)|/5). The distortion is done with the DistortImage class of the Sandy 3D Flash engine. (My practical task is to distort an image using this class where the handles are not positioned at the corners of the image like in this demo but somewhere within it).

Method for defining simultaneous has-many and has-one associations between two models in CakePHP?

One thing with which I have long had problems, within the CakePHP framework, is defining simultaneous hasOne and hasMany relationships between two models. For example: BlogEntry hasMany Comment BlogEntry hasOne MostRecentComment (where MostRecentComment is the Comment with the most recent created field) Defining these relationships in the BlogEntry model properties is problematic. CakePHP's ORM implements a has-one relationship as an INNER JOIN, so as soon as there is more than one Comment, BlogEntry::find('all') calls return multiple results per BlogEntry. I've worked around these situations in the past in a few ways: Using a model callback (or, sometimes, even in the controller or view!), I've simulated a MostRecentComment with: $this->data['MostRecentComment'] = $this->data['Comment'][0]; This gets ugly fast if, say, I need to order the Comments any way other than by Comment.created. It also doesn't Cake's in-built pagination features to sort by MostRecentComment fields (e.g. sort BlogEntry results reverse-chronologically by MostRecentComment.created. Maintaining an additional foreign key, BlogEntry.most_recent_comment_id. This is annoying to maintain, and breaks Cake's ORM: the implication is BlogEntry belongsTo MostRecentComment. It works, but just looks...wrong. These solutions left much to be desired, so I sat down with this problem the other day, and worked on a better solution. I've posted my eventual solution below, but I'd be thrilled (and maybe just a little mortified) to discover there is some mind-blowingly simple solution that has escaped me this whole time. Or any other solution that meets my criteria: it must be able to sort by MostRecentComment fields at the Model::find level (ie. not just a massage of the results); it shouldn't require additional fields in the comments or blog_entries tables; it should respect the 'spirit' of the CakePHP ORM. (I'm also not sure the title of this question is as concise/informative as it could be.)

How to implement a lazy loaded Silverlight data grid without using paging

Using the Business Application template from the brand new released RIA Services, you can see lots of examples using the data grid on top of a DomainDataSource in combination with a DataPager. The properties PageSize and LoadSize can be used to adjust the amount of data to be displayed in one page and the data that is prefetched in the background. Now I'd like to have a data grid with a scrollbar and no pager. The underlying DomainDataSource should load only the data that is diplayed in the grid. It should trigger another load, when the user scrolls down to items that are not yet in the data context. Is there any sample implementation how to do this?

Efficiently draw a grid in Windows Forms

I'm writing an implementation of Conway's Game of Life in C#. This is the code I'm using to draw the grid, it's in my panel_Paint event. g is the graphics context. for (int y = 0; y < numOfCells * cellSize; y += cellSize) { for (int x = 0; x < numOfCells * cellSize; x += cellSize) { g.DrawLine(p, x, 0, x, y + numOfCells * cellSize); g.DrawLine(p, 0, x, y + size * drawnGrid, x); } } When I run my program, it is unresponsive until it finishes drawing the grid, which takes a few seconds at numOfCells = 100 & cellSize = 10. Removing all the multiplication makes it faster, but not by very much. Is there a better/more efficient way to draw my grid? Thanks

Pointer mysteriously moves

The problem is I can't find a work around - how to unpin in from node and change it's pointing address without changing it's.

MySQL Can Connect Remotely but not Locally

This is a weird problem and I'm not sure what's going on. I installed MySQL on a linux box I have running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I can access mysql via SSH mysql -p and perform all my commands that way. I added a user, and I can use AddedUser to connect remotely from my machine, but not from the local machine. It makes no sense to me... Multi Player game using Nodejs and Socket IO

I am trying out multi player racing game using Node and Socket IO ,express . So I have tried simple example to see the latency between node server and the clients. I have a draggable image in client . when I move the image ienter code heren one client ,it has to move in all clients. so basically when I am moving the image I am sending the image position to the node server in a json format , then from there I am broadcasting to all clients. there is a ~approx 300ms latency from the time. following are the results. Client 1 sending data to server at : 286136 (timestamp) Server received at : 286271 Client2 received data at : 286470 Client3 received data at : 286479 Client4 received data at : 286487 Client5 received data at : 286520 the latency between move from client1 to client5 is 384ms. its too hight for a racing game .. here is my server code. var app = require('express').createServer(); var io = require('socket.io'); var http = require('http'); var http_server = http.createServer(); var server = http.createServer(app); server.listen(3000); var socket = io.listen(server,{ log: false }); socket.sockets.on('connection', function (client) { client.on('message', function (data){ console.log("data arrived to server",new Date().getTime()); // Below both statements are giving same latency between the client 1 and client 5 client.broadcast.emit('message',data); //socket.sockets.emit('message',data); }); }); 1) Is there any way to optimize the server code to reduce the latency? 2) is this expected latency using node and websockets ? 3) is socket io can't broadcast the data asynchronously (I mean at a same time) ? dijit tree and focus node

Hello, I cannot get focusNode() or expandNode() get working. I also tried switching back to dojo 1.32 and even 1.3, no difference to 1.4. And I debugged with firebug, the node is a valid tree node and no errors occur but the node wont get focused. Treeview does not refresh to show childnode moved from one parent node to another

I am using the Windows Forms TreeView class which contains a set of TreeNodes. The TreeNodes can have child nodes. I have a root node with 2 sub nodes (Node1 and Node2) Node1 has 2 subnodes (child1 and child2) I have a function that will allow a user to select any node and move it to another node: TreeNode SelectNode = this.TreeView1.SelectedNode; TreeNode DestNode = SelectedNewNode(); //function to select a new node SelectedNode.Remove(); DestNode.Nodes.Add(SelectedNode); this.TreeView1.Refresh(); When this executes, the current selected node (child2) is removed from its current parent (Node1) and added to Node2. However, the Refresh() method of the TreeView control does not show that child2 is under Node2. If I debug it and look at the Nodes collection in the TreeView i do see that child2 is under Node2. Can anyone tell me why the Refresh() method does not redraw the new parent to child mapping? Is there a way to tell the TreeView to redraw with the new mappings?

What one-time-password devices are compatible with mod_authn_otp?

mod_authn_otp is an Apache web server module for two-factor authentication using one-time passwords (OTP) generated via the HOTP/OATH algorithm defined in RFC 4226. The developer's has listed only one compatible device (the Authenex's A-Key 3600) on their website. If a device is fully compliant with the standard, and it allows you to recover the token ID, it should work. However, without testing, it's hard to tell whether a device is fully compliant. Have you ever tried other devices (software or hardware) with mod_authn_otp (or other open source server-side OTP program)? If yes, please share your experience :)

When I try to click on root node using its XPATH String locator = "//div[@id='resultPropertyTree']/div/table/tbody/tr/td"; selenium.clickAt(locator,"0,1"); The entire element is going invisible hence script throwing debug exception saying the element is invisible/not got the focus etc. Can anybody help me out on handling above is appreciated. How do I Emit Escaped XML representation of a Node in my XSLT's HTML Output

I'm transforming XML to an HTML document. In this document I want to embed XML markup for a node that was just transformed (the HTML document is a technical spec). For example, if my XML was this: <transform-me> <node id="1"> <stuff type="floatsam"> <details>Various bits</details> </stuff> </node> </transform-me> I'd want my XSLT output to look something like this: <h1>Node 1</h1> <h2>Stuff (floatsam)</h2> Various bits <h2>The XML</h2> <stuff type="floatsam"> <details>Various bits</details> </stuff> I'm hoping there is an XSLT function that I can call in my <stuff> template to which I can pass the current node (.) and get back escaped XML markup for <stuff> and all its descendants. I have a feeling unparsed-text() might be the way to go but can't get it to work.

Remove Google+ company page after verification?

However, I've only just finished validating the business page as well (Google+ company page) in the hopes of improving traffic. Now that it's been validated, can I remove the Google+ Company link and switch it back to my original personal Google+ page? Scenario: My client is an accountant (one man shop) and so both personal and company Google+ pages would work.

Accessing selected node of richfaces tree from Javascript

Hello This should be a very simple question. I have a richfaces tree that is rendered using JSF. When the user clicks on a node I want a javascript function to run. Nothing more nothing less. No redirects, no re-submit, no-rerender, no Ajax. Just plain old Javascript. I have seen the onselected attribute of the tree and it indeed fires a Javascript method. But of course I want to know which node was clicked. I expected that the first argument of the callback would be the selected node but this is not the case. So the question is this: How do I fire a Javascript function with the selected node from a richfaces tree?

How can use the currently displayed node to filter a block-level view on that node's page?

I have parent/child relationship set up via Node Reference. A Child record can have a Parent record selected from a Node Reference field (this is optional -- I can have Parent-less Children as well). I've created a Views block to appear on the Parent pages, below the content. It's going to show a table of all the Child nodes for that Parent. Problem is, right now it shows every Child node. I need to filter it for just the Parent being displayed. What I need to be able to do is add a filter to this View to effectively say, "Only show the Child nodes that are assigned to the Parent being displayed on this page." So, somehow I need to be able to get the Nid of the currently displaying node (which will be a Parent, in all cases when this block is displayed), and use that in a filter in my View. How exactly can I do this? (Initially I used an attachment view for this (as this page instructs). I created a page view to display the Parent, then an attachment view to display all the Children, then attached that under the page view. This worked, but it was almost absurdly complicated to set up, and it was an undesirable for a number of other reasons -- primarily that my Parent now has two dedicated URLs, it's own node-level page, and the similar page created by this view.) Using Drupal 6.15.

Problem on Last node of the treeview

im using Treeview in my master page...and every node except last node get selected if i click on it and can be redirect to respond treenode page...but when i click last node of the treeview the selectednode changed event doesnt fired it just stop page load event itself(breakpoint)..... how can i solve this problem?
