• Android views' borders issue on some devices

  Hi there, Some users have been reporting border alignment issues on some android components such as the alert popup or the editTexts. This is happening on the Samsung Galaxy Apollo (200x400) and the HTC Pro Touch (480x640) devices. I cannot replicate that because i don't own those devices and in the Samsung Galaxy S and emulator everything looks just right. I think that the problem is the dpi or resolution of the device (because the edittext background is a single .9.png so image should look ok); however I am not sure if the supports-screens tag is the solution. Also, application was developed using Api 3 (v1.5) and supports-screens was not yet supported, nor the screen-size resource qualifier. The style used for the alerts and editText is the phone default. Could the problem be something related with the theme applied to the phone by the user?   Hi, I am trying to execute a command CSRUN.exe with certain parameters from command prompt. I am able to do this using command prompt. Everytime instead of invoking this from the command prompt, i thought of writing a batch file, where in a single click will help me and also i forward this to someone who wants to execute. Following is the one i am executing from the command prompt, which i want to have in a batch file C:\Program Files\Windows Azure SDK\v1.1\bincsrun.exe E:\Publish\ServiceConfiguration.csx E:\Publish\ServiceConfiguration.cscfg /launchbrowser Can somebody suggest me how to create a batch file for invoking this command?

• Python debugging in Eclipse+PyDev

  Hello, I try Eclipse+PyDev pair for some of my work. (Eclipse v3.5.0 + PyDev v1.5.6) I couldn't find a way to expose all of my variables to the PyDev console (Through PyDev console - Console for current active editor option) I use a simple code to describe the issue. When I step-by-step go through the code I can't access my "x" variable from the console. It is viewed on Variables tab, but that's not really what I want. Any help is appreciate. • Running .NET app from network share in Win 7?

  We have a .NET 1.1 application that we keep on a netowork share. We install the .NET Framerwork to the local PCs and also set the full trust via the following: %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\caspol -pp off -cg LocalIntranet_Zone FullTrust This has worked fine on all PCs to date however now we have a few new PCs with Win7 and the process no longer is working. The app will run fine from a local drive in Win7 but running the networked copy results in a general exception error. Any ideas on how to get this to work under Win7?

  I have an ASP.NET web site hosted at HostMySite.com and they recently changed the shared accounts to run in medium trust. In my web site I query my Blogger account and get blog posts to display on my web site. I am using Google.GData.Client v1.4.0.2 The retrieval works locally (and worked until medium trust was invoked at the ISP). • Problem with sfDoctrineGuardPlugin in symfony: Not working on linux

  I have a symfony project with symfony V1.4.2 and doctrine 1.2.2. I have installed sfDoctrineGuardPlugin-4.0.1 and used to authenticate user from external method. Everything going fine, the authentication is perfect on windows machine but whenever I take this to linux machine, the login does not work. It keeps sayting "Invalid username or password". Can anyone help me, what is going wrong. If I have problem in system, then it should not work in windows either but its working perfectly in windows but not in linux. Thanks in advance

  i got a little problem with a wordpress site that uses contact form 7 and android browser (at least android v1.5). when a user submits the cf7 form (using ajax followed by a js redirect) and tries to return to the forms page later (using the back button as well as opening the form's url) the download prompt for a 'downloadfile.bin' appears. this behavior can not be reproduced on any other mobile or desktop browsers. could anyone shed some light on this issue? thank you in advance!

  I have a class which implements IList interface. I requires a "sorted view" of this list, but without modifying it (I cannot sort directly the IList class). These view shall be updated when the original list is modified, keeping items sorted. So, I've introduced a SortList creation method which create a SortList which has a comparer for the specific object contained in the original list. Whenever an item is added or removed from the original list, every created SortListView will be updated with the same operation. This seems good at first chance, but it creates me problems since it give me the following exception when adding items to the SortList: System.ArgumentException: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: 'PowerShell_ISE [C:\Windows\sysWOW64\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\PowerShell_ISE.exe]' Key being added: 'PowerShell_ISE [C:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\PowerShell_ISE.exe]' As you can see from the exception message, thrown by SortedListView.Add(object), the string representation of the key (the list item object) is different (note the path of the executable). Why SortList give me that exception? • Poll database using jQuery/Ajax

  Hi guys, I am trying to use jQuery (latest version) & ajax to poll a mysql db every x seconds, post.php does a simple search query on the table and limits to 1 row. (eg SELECT id FROM TABLE LIMIT 1) I've got some other jQuery UI (using v1.8) code that displays some modal/dialog boxes on the screen, simply put if post.php returns something from the db I need to initialise the dialog to pop up onto the screen. I've done all the popup stuff I am just having issues joining all these bits together - i've added some pseudo code of how i expect this to work. • Gaining application/module context from a symfony task

  I have written a reporting suite, and I have a specific report that builds a CSV file. Serving this file via a browser on demand isn't an issue, but I need to be able to build this CSV file nightly, and email round a link to be able to download it. Essentially, I need to be able to replace a specific action with a symfony task, run via cron. So how do I gain application/module context from a symfony task? And secondly, how would I invoke the SwiftMailer library from a symfony task? I'm using symfony v1.4.4 and PHP v.5.2.13. Thanks in advance for your help.

• JqueryUI serialize data not working on first record

  I am using jqueryUI v1.8. I have created a modal dialog form to edit records of a table. When the edit link on the record is clicked the record data is displayed on the form and the user edits the record. When the user submits this form the data is serialized and posted via ajax to update the database. This works well with all records except the first one. Nothing is posted to server for update only for the first record. alert(serializeddata); is empty. Similarly, The first form element in every record chosen for editing does not show the actual value the first time. Once you cancel editing and close the dialog and reopen you can see the fields accurate data. How do I resolve this?

  I have a lot of embedded C/C++/Ada experience and an outdated smattering of Delphi plus some database stuff. Now I have to implement an app in Delphi which can manipulate MySql, Oracle, maybe MS Access. In short, I need ODBC. I need to programmatically created a database, define its structure and populate its contents, then later query its existence and programmatically search. I would prefer not to use 3rd party components, unless there is a compelling reason to do so (performance ought not to be an issue for the app, it won't have much data or be run often, at least not in v1.0) . Can anyone point me at a tutorial which can get me up to speed? Thanks

• Problem with Wicket and SignInExample in IE8

  I have an interesting problem with Wicket. I'm basically duplicating the 'authentication' example from the v1.4.x in SVN. It works fine in FireFox and Chrome but not in IE8. When in IE8, after I click the submit button it returns with a 404 error but i can manually paste the "destination" url in and it goes there fine (as an authenticated user). Another scenario is, I try to login, it gives me a 404, I hit refresh (looking at the html source I see the page version incremented), relogin and it works fine. So to summarize: I login the first time in IE8 and it returns a 404 error, hit refresh and ogin again and it works fine. I login the first time in IE8 and it returns a 404 error, manually paste the destination url in the browser and it goes there fine as if im logged in. I've compared everything between IE8 and FireFox from the rendered source and the code is not doing anything special but I cannot figure out what the differences are? Thanks. KJQ

  I want to include Microsoft AntiXss V1.5 library on my live site running in a medium trust setting.However, I got an error something like: Required permissions cannot be acquired. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Security.Policy.PolicyException: Required permissions cannot be acquired. I tried this in full trust setting on my development machine and everything works good.Looks like this will run only in full trust configuration......Does anybody knows a solution or workaround for this?

• C# : Redirect console application output : How to flush the output?

  I am spawning external console application and use async output redirect. as shown in this SO post My problem is it seems that the spawned process needs to produce certain amount of output before I get the OutputDataReceived event notification. I want to receive the OutputDataReceived event as soon as possible. I have a bare-bones redirecting application, and here are some observations: 1. When I call a simple 'while(true) print("X");' console application (C#) I receive output event immediately. 2. When I call a 3d party app I am trying to wrap from the command line I see the line-by-line output. 3. When I call that 3d party app from my bare-bone wrapper (see 1) - the output comes in chunks (about one page size). What happens inside that app? FYI: The app in question is a "USBee DX Data Exctarctor (Async bus) v1.0".

I have a list of about 20 parent directories which have few thousand recursive subdirs and every subdir has few hundred records.   I'm using v1 of EF(.NET 3.5 SP1). I'm subscribing to the SavingChanges event of the ObjectContext wherein I audit deletes for a particular entity type. I need to get to the foreign keys of the entity being deleted i.e EntityKeys of the related entities (RelatedEnds) but the EntityKeys of the related entities are nulls. Is there any way to get to the foreign keys of an entity which has been marked for deletion? Does EF null out the EntityKeys of all RelatedEnds for an entity which has been marked for deletion? If so, is there a way I can get hold of the foreign keys?

  I have a Backbone collection whose URL depends on the initialize function. When I create an instance of this Backbone collection, I pass in an ID to filter which instances of the model appear.
