• Does a form gets closed after form.submit()?

After the submit, the dialog gets closed. Is that normal? I don`t want the dialog to get closed after the submit. How can I do that?

  I created an EC2 instance (Ubuntu 64 bit) and attached a volume from a publicly available snapshot to the instance. I successfully mounted the volume. I am supposed to be able to run a script from this attached volume using the following steps as explained in the tutorial: Log in to your virtual machine. mkdir /space mount /dev/sdf1 /space cd /space ./setup-script The problem is that, when I try: ./setup-script I got the following message: -bash: ./setup-script: No such file or directory What is the problem ? I can change the label's text, but after the function returns, the label's text turns back to it's original one. Is it possible to make this kind of change and if so, how? • asp.net web application - server side canceling Submit PostBackUrl if not(!) Page.IsValid

  Thanks for any help I have a web application, and the submit uses the PostBackUrl to display data if the form is valid. I need to use different (server side) validation groups, depending on what radiobutton is selected. That is, manually call Page.Validate('ValidationGroupA'). The validation itself is working fine, in terms of Page.IsValid correctly assigned true or false. however, if the page is not valid, the page redirects to the page specified by PostBackUrl on the submit button, where the page is found not to be valid, and the client redirected back with: if (!PreviousPage.IsValid){Response.Redirect("DataEntryPage.aspx");}) However, by getting to here and back again, all form data is lost, and the relevant validation controls and summaries are not displayed. is there an equivalent of javascripts evt.preventDefault() or some other way, once it is detected validation has failed after a manual call to Page.Validate to post the form back with appropriate validation errors displayed? • check if a process is running in python

  I am trying to find if the process is running based on process id. The code is as follows based on one of the post on the forum. • What is the right way to modify a wordpress query in a plugin?

  Basically i am playing with a plugin that allows future-dated posts on archive pages. My question is broader than this specific functionality, but everyone likes some context. I have my head around many of the plugin development concepts, but must be missing something very basic. I can successfully rewrite a query that gives me the results i want like this: function modify_where( $where ) { global $wp_query; // define $year, $cat, etc if( is_archive() ) { $where = " AND YEAR(wp_posts.post_date)='".$year."' • many-to-many relationship in CI (not using ORM)

  I'm implementing a categories system in my CI app and trying to work out the best way of working with many to many relationships. I'm not using an ORM at this stage, but could use say Doctrine if necessary. Each entry may have multiple categories. I have three tables (simplified) Entries: entryID, entryName Categories: categoryID, categoryname Entry_Category: entryID, categoryID my CI code returns a record set like this: entryID, entryName, categoryID, categoryName but, as expected with Many-to-Many relationships, each "entry" is repeated for each "category". What would the best way to "group" the categories so that when I output the results, I am left with something like: Entry Name Appears in Category: Foo, Bar rather than: Entry Name Appears in Category: Foo Entry Name Appears in Category: Bar I believe the option is to track if the post ID matches a previous entry, and if so, store the respective category, and output it as one, rather than several, but am unsure of how to do this in CI. thanks for any pointers (I appreciate this is may be a vague/complex question without a better knowledge of the system).

• I can't upload a file with CGIHTTPServer

  Hi all, I'm using the CGIHTTPServer to implement a simple cgi server. I'm trying to upload a file by a form with the post method and the multipart/form-data enctype but I have problems when I recover the value of the fields in the cgi script. When the script catch the form fields, the value of the file is a MiniFieldStorage with two fields only (key and file name), and I can't recover the content of the file. As the API doc shows, this content is in value field of a StorageField but in the MiniFieldStorage this field isn't exits. ¿How can I recover a StorageField with the content of the file instead a MiniStorageField? ¿There are other method to upload a file using CGIHTTPServer? • Is it possible to put a form control on its own thread?

  I'm using a DataGridView and some operations that I do cause it to become unresponsive for periods of time. Normally I would put data processing in its own thread to make the form more responsive, but in this case it's the DataGridView itself that's taking so long. This leads me to wonder whether it's possible to have the main form on one thread and the DataGridView on another thread so it doesn't prevent the main form from responding. I completely understand that doing so is probably not 'safe' and likely opens up a can of worms that makes it hardly worth trying and I fully expect this post will be getting down votes for merely suggesting such a ridiculous idea. Is this possible? And if so how would you go about it?

  I have a problem that seems like there should be a simple solution but haven't found it yet. I have a pretty simple form that calls an action and passes it a FormCollection via HTTP Post. The form works perfectly until I introduce < or > into the field. Then I end up on a blank page having skipped the Action altogether. Need more information? Have any suggestions? Please help!

  I need to include a C header file in my C++ project but g++ throws "not declared in this scope" errors. I read that i need to use extern "C" keyword to fix it but it didn't seem to work for me.   I know this has been covered a few times, but I'm completely a noob when it comes to javascript so I have no idea what I'm doing. I am running a javascript that sends variables to a php file and that info is ajaxed into the current page using innerhtml. Here is that part of the code... `function givingHistory(dyear,did) { var divname="giving" + dyear; $.ajax({ url: 'finance/givinghistory.php', type: 'POST', data: { year: dyear, id: did }, success: function(givedata) { document.getElementById(divname).innerHTML = givedata; } }); } ` In the givedata function response from the php file there is a call to another javascript function that is already loaded in my common .js file (so both javascript functions are loaded when the page loads). How do I get the onClick that is added via innerhtml to work? Inside the php file, I check to see if id = a php session variable. If it does it spits out the text that includes the onClick.

It is very difficult to include all 272 strings with each one having 16 sets of 4! There wouldn't be enough room in this post for that, so I just put the first of the 272 strings. To hopefully clarify, this is a puzzle. The puzzler put his 272 word message in ASCII. Since there is no online converter, I put the question out hoping to get some help.

  I'm trying to install .NET 3.5 on my Windows 8 box and it keeps throwing Error 0x800f0922 at me. From what I've read on answers.microsoft.com and StackOverflow I gather the easiest way to fix this is to perform a system refresh, however this will remove all software I've installed from discs. I've just moved house, so I'd rather not do that as I don't know where all the installation media actually are for a lot of my software, so if possible I'd prefer to track down where the problem is actually occurring. (Also, I have a LOT of software installed. It'd take me a long time to reinstall it all, and I unfortunately haven't got that time.) The on-demand error screen sends me to KB2734782 (can't link it as I'm <10 rep), which doesn't help much. • How to find and fix issue with Pound and HAProxy

  Pound sits in front of HAProxy (on the same box) to perform SSL off-load. Requests are passed to 127.0.0.1:80 where HAProxy then balances the requests across backend servers for a hosted ASP .NET web app. A user is getting HTTP error 500 (Internal Server Error) returned to their browser this morning and I can see it is comming from Pound. They see no log entry in their web app (IIS) server logs, so its not hitting the back end servers. I think the problem is possibly with HAProxy.
