  Hello all, I just went through this link http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Feature/91093,the-tsar-of-antivirus.aspx and found that it's developed using c/c++ and visual studio with a little assembly language support. As a programmer i just want to know in what programming language the kaspersky internet security User Interface(UI) has been developed? Might be using QT(coz. of c++)? or using MFC(coz. of visual studio)?? With side tab like thing the UI looks good. Expecting the answers from expert analysts.

• jQuery .animate reveal contact form hidden in div with negative margin above header

I'm running in to some other cross-compatibility issues as well with the margin spacing so I'm not even sure this is the best way to go about this. Obviously it'd be great if I could just begin with the div as display:hidden and then animate it to visible, but I haven't been able to do that. Any input is appreciated, either with advice on how to save the margin after form submission, or suggestion on better method to achieve this hide/reveal. Thanks, Brian

• Asp.net MVC database connection setting in Visual studio 2008

  I am trying to learn Asp.net MVC framework. I was looking at the video tutorial at the link below http://www.asp.net/learn/mvc-videos/video-395.aspx In this video the very first step is to add a new database to the example application. I have visual studio installed on my development machine but the SqlServer Express is running on a different machine, so when I try and add a new database following the same steps as the video I get the following error "Connections to SQL Server files(*.mdf) require SQL express 2005 to funciton properly. Please verify the installation of the component or download from the url" I am assuming this is because Visual studio is looking for an instance of SQL express on my local machine and since it doesnt exist on the local machine,it errors out. So how do i tell visual studio, to connect to a different machine and create the database there? I am using Visual studio 2008 with .net 3.5 Sp1

• get data from gridview without querying database

  Hi there I am new at this so please bear with me... I have managed to get the following code to work...so when I click on the "select" link in each row of the gridview, the data is transfered to other label/textbox on the webpage. So far so good, the thing is that everytime I click on select...it goes and checks on the database for the data and there is a delay of a few seconds... I was hoping that the data, since it is already visible on the gridrows, is simply "picked up" and used on other labels/textboxes...without requerying the database. Is this possible ? I plan on having each element of the XML from the feed as an item of a class/struct. I'm really looking for LINQ to XML examples, and a good book. I've seen other LINQ to XML articles out there, but i'm just not grasping how they work. Old SQL minds are hard to break perhaps... /shrug.

• Where to install shared DLLs on Windows

  I have a driver which can be installed on Windows (XP/Vista/7). It's accessed via a DLL that applications link to, and which is also a Winsock Provider (WSP). It used to be installed under System32, but having seen advice not to, I changed it to install under ProgramFiles instead. Now, the problem is that people are having to either copy it back into System32 or copy it into the application directory whenever they want to use it in their own applications, because Windows won't search the install directory under ProgramFiles when the application tries to load the DLL. I've been unable to find any Microsoft documentation discussing this issue, so if System32 shouldn't be used then where should shared DLLs be installed?

• Using C++ is a Linked-List implementation without using pointers possible or not?

  My question is very simply, can one using C++, implment a link-list data structure without using pointers (next nodes)? To further qualify my question, I'm mean can one create a Linked-List data structure using only class instantiations. A common node definition might be like so: template<typename T> struct node { T t; node<T>* next; node<T>* prev; }; I'm aware of std::list etc, I'm just curious to know if its possible or not - and if so how? code examples will be greatly appreciated.

• Question about SSL Certificate.

  Hi experts, I am trying to make a SSL connection to a web site. Each time I enter the https:// address and press enter, the IE8 prompts me to select the Certificate (Client Certificate) to send to the server. I got 2 certificates to choose from. And they are stored in the IE8 - Internet Options - Content - Certificates - Personal. Since my server and client are the same machine, I want to use a single certificate for both server and client. And this certificate is a IIS generated self signed certificate. I do the following steps: 1- Generate a self-signed-cert in IIS; 2- Bind my site to https and choose the above self-signed-cert 3- Import the self-signed-cert at the IE8 - Internet Options - Content - Certificates - Personal. Then I use the https link to access my page, it is still prompts me to choose a certificate. But I cannot see my newly imported self-signed-cert. Why?

Here is the problem I am having. For the following RSS feed example, I am having trouble getting it to load the feed. Comes up with an error that it cannot connect. However on my Mac RSS Reader it works fine, so I know the link is good. • Jquery Help : Draggable to Sortable and then back to draggable again.

  I have a pool of items in the drag list which is connected to a sortable using connectToSortable option. Now I want to remove some items from this sort list and move them back to the drag list. Sort of like an undo. Suppose the user moves some 5 items to sort list and decides he/she wants only 4 items, and decides to just drag the unwanted item from the sortlist TO the drag list.   I have a small website with several PDFs free for download. I use StatCounter to observe the number of page loads. It also shows me the number of my PDF downloads, but it considers only those downloads where a user clicks on the link from my website. But what's with the "external" access to the PDFs (e.g., directly from Google search)? How I can count those? Is there any possibility to use a tool such as StatCounter? Thanks.

  I have a project that I am breaking up into multiple .exe projects. I still plan on publishing them, using click once, into the same location at the same time, and I would like to use the same config file. I have added the app.config to each project using the "Add link" option in Visual Studio, which is great for debugging, but in production, when I compile each exe project, the app.config is not copied into the "master project"'s bin folder. example: master.exe with master.exe.config master.exe may launch order.exe based on user settings master.exe may launch returns.exe based on user settings master, order, and returns will all reside in the same folder, and should share a single config file.

I've been using the following, which finds images and CSS just fine but for some reason won't run the .js. [webView loadRequest:requestObj]; I've tried changing the encoding of the files. I had a problem getting the CSS to work until the file was in unicode, but so far no luck. All the Script files are bundled with my project etc. Thanks in advance!

• Squid+iptables: how do i allow https to pass-through and bypassing Squid?

  Hello, Basically started with Squid and iptables today (google is your friend). This stuff is going to be the death of me. I have Squid3 setup on Ubuntu 9.04 server as Transparent Proxy. It works sweetly when i use the proxy-box as my default gateway etc. The iptable rules for this setup was part of the tutorial. :P I can unfortunately not access https sites (such as Gmail or anything on port 443 basically). This is because Squid dont like what it cannot cache, which in this case is the https traffic. I would like to add an iptable rule so that i can basically access https sites and use Skype. Basically allow these types of traffic to pass through without going through Squid proxy? (bypassing it so to speak) Would anyone perhaps know how to do this or have a link to any sources that would assist me in figuring it out? Thank you.

• jQuery Tiny Scrollbar plugin - Fails to show all content on refresh

  Hi Guys! I've implemented Tiny Scrollbar plugin on a website, for good-looking div scrolling. But weird stuff happens when I refresh the page in Safari or Chrome. It seams to clip some of my content. What happens upon a page refresh, that could make it behave like this? Please have a look at mettestentoft.dk I've tried using the same plugin on a simple test page, where a page refresh would make the plugin add a 'scrollbar disable' class to the div, while clicking a link linking to the same page, would make i show as it should. Tiny Scrollbar plugin demopage doesn't seem to have any problems, unless I'm missing it. So my question is: Do I have to do something jQuery-wise, in order for a page to load equally to a linked page? Thank you in advance :)

• FreeText Query is slow - includes TOP and Order By

  The Product table has 700K records in it. The query: SELECT TOP 1 ID, Name FROM Product WHERE contains(Name, '"White Dress"') ORDER BY DateMadeNew desc takes about 1 minute to run. There is an non-clustered index on DateMadeNew and FreeText index on Name. If I remove TOP 1 or Order By - it takes less then 1 second to run. • Sitemap Links don't work on live site, Windows Authentication

  I have a intranet site with Windows Authentication. I have 'Administrator' pages in an 'Administrator' folder that will only show for those in the admin group (windows security group) These pages work I have a folder with sub folders containing reports. These permissions are broken down for each type of report. They have similar role priveleges. When I test the application, I can navigate to the pages. When I deploy the site live on the intranet the links don't return a page. Error missing link 404. Do I need to set something in IIS?

• Equal height divs with footer always at bottom of tallest div

  I was wondering if this were possible, and if it is the best way to go about this: example image (since I'm not allowed to post pics yet ^^) So, not only does each column have to be of equal height, but each column also has its own individual footer. I saw this post httx://stackoverflow.com/questions/1347366/div-at-bottom-of-window-and-adaptable-height-div (I also can't post more than one link....) - how could I rework this technique to apply to the bottom of the divs and not the bottom of the window? *edit - each column will have content that will constantly change and be of variable height. I'm thinking I could just figure out the equal height columns first, then just absolute position a footer div within those columns. Does its parent div then have to be position: relative?
