• Bug when adding a sprite to 1 <s:State>

  I'm working within a skin for a button that has some <s:State> normal over In the tag, I'm drawing a circle private var theshape:Sprite; private function drawShape():void { theshape = new Sprite(); theshape.graphics.beginFill(0x666666); theshape.graphics.drawCircle(3,5,10); theshape.graphics.endFill(); //i then add it to a Spite Visual Element that's defined in mxml canv.addChild(theshape); } This works fine, until I try to control under which states that canv SpriteVisualElement appears. If I just add an includeIn like this <s:SpriteVisualElement id="canv" includeIn="over" /> I get a run-time error TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. Any ideas what the problem is, or a different way I can accomplish the same thing. What I need is to simply include the circle in the button when it's in the hover state.

• Storing links to internal content pages in ASP.NET MVC

  I'm using a route like this routes.MapRoute( "PageBySlug", RouteType.Regular, "{slug}", new {controller = "Page", action = "Display", slug = "Default"}, null ); to map request to ~/Some-Page-Slug to ~/Page/Display/Some-Page-Slug. When adding content, user can choose to link to existing pages to create references and I then store those links in this format in the datastore: "/Some-Page-Slug". When I run the app in Cassini and pull the link out from datastore and attach it to A tag it looks like this http://localhost:93229/Some-Page-Slug and this link works. But when running the application in virtual directory under some website in IIS, the attached link generates this URL http://localhost/Some-Page-Slug, when it should be http://localhost/virtualdir/Some-Page-Slug. Of course, this generates 404 error. How can I solve this to be universally useful and working under all circumstances? Should I store it differently in the database or should I transform it into correct form in my Views at runtime and how to do that?

  Say you have the following css applied to a div tag .divtagABS { position: absolute; margin-left: auto; margin-right:auto; } the margin-left and margin-right does not take effect but if you have relative, it works fine i.e. ,divtagREL { position: relative; margin-left: auto; margin-right:auto; } why is that? i just want to center an element can someone explain why setting margins to auto in absolute position does not work?

  I'm writing a specialized crawler and parser for internal use and I require the ability to take a screenshot of a web page in order to check what colours are being used throughout. The program will take in around ten web addresses and will save them as a bitmap image, from there I plan to use LockBits in order to create a list of the five most used colours within the image. To my knowledge it's the easiest way to get the colours used within a web page but if there is an easier way to do it please chime in with your suggestions. Anyway, I was going to use this program until I saw the price tag. I'm also fairly new to C#, having only used it for a few months. Can anyone provide me with a solution to my problem of taking a screenshot of a web page in order to extract the colour scheme?

  Say I have a web site with a master page and an aspx page. In my ASPX page, I am pointing to my masterpage with the MasterType tag. <%@ MasterType VirtualPath="~/mymasterpage.master" % Say, I've defined a label in the markup of my master page. If you look at the designer code, this label should be something like this. protected global::System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label label1; Now in my content page, I would like to reference this label. If I type in this "Master.label1", the complier will complain that the control is inaccessible due to the protection level" and rightly so, as label1 is automatically defined as "protected". My question is, if I define controls in my markup page, is it possible to set these controls as public instead of protected? I do not see an attribute for it. thanks in advance.

  Hi in my application there is web browser control to show some static html pages. The pages are displayed properly. but images are not displayed.. I tried with changing src-path but no success. my htmlpages folder is located at bin folder. And i am assigning it as. FileStream source = new FileStream(@"..\HtmlPages\supportHtml.html", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); if i open html files in browser, the images are displayed properly.. So, What is the correct path for images..?? If i set full path to src attribute of <img> tag..it works. but i think its not a proper way. :( EDIT: If i assign d:\myapp\bin\HtmlPages\support.gif then image is displayed. And if i assign "..\HtmlPages\support.gif" or "support.gif" image is not shown.

• How do I hide the port Apache2 is using from the browser?

  HI all, I am currently using nginx as front-end proxy for Apache. I have setup nginx to use port 80 and Apache to use 8080. But after nginx redirected the request to Apache, the port 8080 is visible from the browser. • Rsync: windows 7, synology: login error and permission denied error

  Good day to all of you all, I'm running into strange/stupid errors, and I hope anybody would be so kind to help me out. I have to admit, I am by no means a guru, so please bear with me :-) Situation: -Synology NAS (runs Linux), and Windows 7 desktop (1 normal/restricted user Lisa and 1 admin user). - Data from W7 desktop to be rsynced to synology: /volume1/home/Lisa/Backup - Rsync command: c:\cygwin\bin\rsync -avz /cygdrive/e/Lisa/ [email protected]:/volume1/homes/Lisa/Backup - I've set up ssh per these two threads: a. http://www.cesareriva.com/archives/102 b. http://www.cesareriva.com/archives/112 Now the horrors begin: - root is allowed to run the rsync succesfully, however, he doesn't login automatically (so I can not use rsync in W7 batchscripts, which is of course required). - Lisa is allowed to login automatically but he can not succesfully finish the rsync command because of permission errors: rsync change dir /volume1/homes/Lisa/Backup failed: permissions denied. This happens for each and every file and subdir rsync tries to create. However, the main directory (Backup) is created. When I try to copy files from windows explorer to the directory 'Backup' using the very same user Lisa everything goes smoothly. So, obviously, there is a permission problem somewhere; either my rsync-command isn't correct, or the folder permissions for homes/Lisa aren't correct (but, then again, Windows 7 copies files to that folder without any problems, so that does make me believe the homes/Lisa-permissions don't appear to be the problem). I also tried adding: --chmod=Dugo+x --chmod=ugo+r which I found somewhere on the web, to the rsync-command, but this didn't solve any problem and gave the exact errors. Would anybody please please help me on how to fix this? I am utterly frustrated about this, because I have been trying for 1 month to get everything to work and it simply doesn't work. I bought the big Synology to end the horrors of 20 external USB-disks for once and for all (we have many pictures and home vids of our deceased dogs and want to watch these, the horrors being 'what material is on what disk'). I'll gladly return the favour of somebody helping me out by buying you a nice beer (paypal), if you could end my misery. I am not extremely skilled on Linux (not at all :-( ) so if you could give an extra word when possible so I understand what to do, I'd be very grateful.   If you look at the NerdDinner example of creating and editing dinners then you see they use a partial (ViewUserControl or ASCX) DinnerForm to put the functionality of creating and editing dinners into one file because it is essential the same and they use it using RenderPartial("DinnerForm"). This approach seems fine for me but I've run into a problem where you have to add additonal route values or html properties to the Form tag. This picks up the current action and controller automatically: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> However, if I use another BeginForm() overload which allows to pass in enctype or any other attribute I have to do it like this: <% using ("Create", "Section", new { modal = true }, FormMethod.Post, new { enctype = "multipart/form-data" })) and as you can see we lose the ability to automatically detect in which View we are calling RenderPartial("OurCreateEditFormPartial"). We can't have hardcoded values in there because in Edit View this postback will fail or won't postback to the right controller action. What should I do in this case?

  In my application , a HTTP GET request URL to the application with script tag is getting redisplayed as it is although it fails the authorization. Example: http://www.example.com/welcome<script>alert("hi")</script> The issue is sanitizing external input entered directly into address bar by modifying existing GET URL. Spring redisplays the submitted URL as it is.   I need to do some regex replacement on HTML input, but I need to exclude some parts from filtering by other regexp. (e.g. remove all <a> tags with specific href="example.com…, except the ones that are inside the <form> tag) Is there any smart regex technique for this? Or do I have to find all forms using $regex1, then split the input to the smaller chunks, excluding the matched text blocks, and then run the $regex2 on all the chunks?

• SVN Import Force for importing existing file

  I am creating a text file and a zip file for a tag automatically with MSBuild. My msbuild project is called by cruisecontrol.net. The text file is always going to be latest.txt and the zip file will be (version).zip (so it will be different every time). I do not want to commit these files back to my trunk, so I discovered svn import. On the first time, it works for both. On successive runs, it fails since latest.txt already exists in the repository. Do I need to use svn import --force or something else to get these two files pushed up to my repository?
