  • Drag and Drop text - What am I missing?

    - by Harvey
I am trying to add drag-and-drop text to my Doc-View App. I added the COleDropTarget variable to the view class, registered it in OnCreate(). I added OnDragEnter(), OnDragOver(), OnDragLeave() and OnDrop() to that class as virtual overrides, but none of them are ever called. I previously had added m_pMainWnd-DragAcceptFiles(TRUE); to my App class. I tried commenting out that statement, but no affect. I tried using Spy++ to see where the messages go while I do a drag, but it logs nothing at all while I am dragging the text around in the App. What do I need? Or what else can I try, to narrow down the problem? TIA, Harvey

  • .Net installation issue with SqlServerPipelineHost and SqlServer.DtsMsg

    - by Melody Friedenthal
I added a web service consumer to a vb 2005 Windows app and tried to install it on another computer, which had an earlier version already installed (ClickOnce deployment). An error came up saying I needed to install Microsoft.SqlServer.PipelineHist in the GAC. I added PipelineHost to the list of references and marked it Copy Local = true, rebuilt the solution, published it and tried to install it on that other computer. This time it said I needed to install Microsoft.SqlServer.DtsMsg, however, that component does not show up on my list of .Net components. Where do I go from here? Thank you.

  • Strange Scala error.

I tried to create abstract turn based Game and abstract AI: abstract class AGame { type Player type Move // Player inside def actPlayer : Player def moves (player : Player) : Iterator[Move] def play (move : Move) def undo () def isFinished : Boolean def result (player : Player) : Double } abstract class Ai[Game <: AGame] { def genMove (player : Game#Player) : Game#Move } class DummyGame extends AGame { type Player = Unit type Move = Unit def moves (player : Player) = new Iterator[Move] { def hasNext = false def next = throw new Exception ("asd") } def actPlayer = () def play (move : Move) { } def undo () { } def isFinished = true def result (player : Player) = 0 } class DummyAi[Game <: AGame] (game : Game) extends Ai[Game] { override def genMove (player : Game#Player) : Game#Move = { game.moves (player).next } } I thought that I have to use this strange type accessors like Game#Player. I get very puzzling error. • My PHP login no longer works

    - by Matt Clayton
This page worked like a charm for years... enter the correspondng user id and password and you would be redirected to your directory. Now suddenly, all attempts to log in - valid or otherwise - result in the page remaining static... no message, no redirect, nothing. Nothing in the code has changed, it just plain doesn't work anymore. Could this be the result of some kind of change on the server side? Yeah, I know it's not super secure, but it was good enough for our purposes. I'm certainly open to better suggestions. I just need it to work... and keep working. Please be gentle! I know almost nothing of programming. Here is the page code: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" > <link href="ilium.css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen"> <title>Ilium: Client Login</title> </head> <body bgcolor="#bfbfcc" background="img/loginbg.gif"> <?php /* init vars */ $userExists = false; $userIndex = -1; $authenicated = false; /*********************************************** * edit this to add new users/password * * - add user/pass/directory to the array * * below: must be in same array index to work * ***********************************************/ $user = array('foo', 'bar'); $pass = array('foo', 'bar'); $directory = array('foo', 'bar'); // run user/pass check if data passed if (isset($username) && isset($password)) { // check if user name exists for ($i = 0; $i < count($user); $i++) { if ($user[$i] == $username) { $userExists = true; $userIndex = $i; break; } } // so user exists, now test password if ($userExists) { $message = $message . - by Zerotoinfinite
Hi Experts, I have gridview in my asp.net 3.5 application [C#]. Which looks like this: AutoGenerateDeleteButton="true" DataKeyNames="studentId" runat="server" OnRowEditing="GridView1_RowEditing" OnRowCancelingEdit="GridView1_RowCancelingEdit" OnRowDeleting="GridView1_RowDeleting" OnRowUpdating="GridView1_RowUpdating" onpageindexchanging="GridView1_PageIndexChanging" onrowupdated="GridView1_RowUpdated" <EmptyDataTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblNoRecord" runat="server" Text="No Record Found" ForeColor="Red"></asp:Label> </EmptyDataTemplate> </asp:GridView> Now, In rowUpdating event, I am writing the below code: protected void GridView1_RowUpdating(object sender, GridViewUpdateEventArgs e) { int mytext = Convert.ToInt16(GridView1.Rows[e.RowIndex].Cells[1].Text); string cConatiner = GridView1.Rows[e.RowIndex].Cells[4].Text; } In this, myText is giving me the correct value, i.e. of the 1st column but when I am changing the cell value to 1,2,3,4,5,6 I am getting empty. Am I doing it incorrectly ? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

  • Dynamic notifications using jQuery

    - by sparkymark75
I'm currently building a homepage for our staff which is to be set as the homepage in their browser. I'm currently building the facility whereby nominated members of staff can send notifications to all staff. These will popup on their home page without the need for them to refresh the page. I've currently got the code below which worked fine for 1 notification, but there may be more than 1 at a time waiting to be shown. I've switched to outputting json but I'm not sure how to modify my code to consume it. I'm using the PeriodicalUpdater and jGrowl plugins to get this functionality, if there's better alternatives then feel free to sugget them. $.PeriodicalUpdater({ url: 'getNotifications.aspx', maxTimeout: 6000, type: 'json' }, function(data) { var message = data; if (message != '') { $.jGrowl(message, { sticky: true }); } }); As an additional piece of functionality, would it be possible to store in a cookie when a user has closed a notification so they don't see it again? Thanks.

  • Apache - Reverse Proxy and HTTP 302 status messsage

    - by Rob
My team is trying to setup an Apache reverse proxy from a customer's site into one of our web applications. http://www.example.com/app1/some-path maps to http://internal1.example.com/some-path Inside our application we use struts and have redirect = true set on certain actions in order to provide certain functionality. The 302 status messages from these re-directs cause the user to break out of the proxy resulting in an error page for the end user. HTTP/1.1 302 Found Location: http://internal.example.com/some-path/redirect Is there any way to setup the reverse proxy in apache so that the redirects work correctly? http://www.example.com/app1/some-path/redirect

  • How can I execute CGI files from PHP?

    - by Henri W
I'm trying to make a web app that will manage my Mercurial repositories for me. I want it so that when I tell it to load repository X: Connect to a MySQL server and make sure X exists. Check if the user is allowed to access the repository. If above is true, get the location of X from a mysql server. Run a hgweb cgi script (python) containing the path of the repository. Here is the problem, I want to: take the hgweb script, modify it, and run it. But I do not want to: take the hgweb script, modify it, write it to a file and redirect there. I am using Apache to run the httpd process.

  • Javascript cross-domain web request fails with Status=0?

    - by Tav
Yes, I know the following code does not work in IE. I know IE expects me to use XDomainRequest() instead. I don't care about that. This is firefox only. I'm trying to do a cross-domain web request in firefox javascript. I keep getting a status of 0. Does anyone know why? var url = "http://newyork.craigslist.org"; var xdr = new XMLHttpRequest(); //Yes, I know IE expects XDomainRequest. Don't care xdr.onreadystatechange = function() { if (xdr.readyState == 4) { alert(xdr.status); //Always returns 0! And xdr.responseText is blank too } } xdr.open("get", url, true); xdr.send(null); Shouldn't that work?

  • Render view as string then redirect.

    - by JohnRudolfLewis
In my ASP.NET MVC application, I would like my controller action to render a view to a string, send an email using that string as the body, then do a redirect. I've found several articles here on SO and elsewhere on how to render the view to a string. That part was easy. But when I attempt to perform the redirect, I get an HttpException: Cannot redirect after HTTP headers have been sent. I've tried setting Response.Buffer and Response.BufferOutput to true, I've tried Response.Clear, nothing seems to work. Is it possible to render a view to a string, then do a redirect?

When I Press F5 on my VS2005 to debug the application, it launches the web app window but it is coming out of debug mode. When I tried to trace the Error in the EventViewer, this was the error: Failed in Token.vb(GetToken). The token was not in memory and the identity of the authenticated IIS caller was not permitted. The session may have unexpectedly terminated. The specific error message included: Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \\ section in the application configuration. I don't have any httpModules section in my config file and the sessionState mode="InProc"...

  • Forms authentication for users and Windows for Database?

    - by scyonx
On our production servers, the admins created a WebUser active directory account which is users for anonymous access to IIS and is also used to authenticate database access with our SQL Server instances using Integrated Security=SSPI in the connection string and identity impersonate="true" in the web.config. I've often come across situations where I would like to or even need to use forms authentication. However, I using forms authentication, Integrated Security seems to use the logged in user's credentials to authenticate against the database. In these cases I have changed the connection string to use the credentials of a SQL Server users instead. I would prefer to not have a hard coded username and password in the connection string or rather worse in code. Is it possible to use forms authentication just for user authentication for users and windows authentication with the IIS user for database access? What would be the best practice in such a situation?

  • ruby memory leak Gdk::PixbufLoader

    - by Reed Debaets
So I'm beginning to wonder how leaky the gnome2 libraries for ruby1.8.6 are. #!/usr/bin/env ruby require 'gtk2' while true sleep 0.1 pixbuf = Gdk::PixbufLoader.new pixbuf = nil end this leaks about 16kb/sec according to watch -n 1 ps -o rss -p <process id> This is compounded if you start trying to write a chunk of large chunks of image data to it using pixbuf.last_write img_data Any ideas how to get around this (and the second issue)? I need to update image data within my code but it seems like anything that ends up using a pixbuf leaks like a sieve.

  • enable Dojo support for Forms just on demand in Zend Framework

  • switch to mysqli a good idea?

    - by Rob
I'm considering switching to mysqli for all my php projects. The way my code is written (I run very simple websites and built my own basic framework which I use across all of them) I shouldn't have too many problems modifying the functions and classes. However, i've only heard positive things about prepared statements, bar a few grumblings about the php functions available, most notably the lack of a simple replacement for using mysql_fetch_array in a while. This sounds a bit too good to be true, so I wondered if anyone could highlight some of the issues with using prepared statements, such as speed and resource usage.

  • Edit and Create view using EditCreate.ascx partial in ASP.NET MVC

    - by mare
If you look at the NerdDinner example of creating and editing dinners then you see they use a partial (ViewUserControl or ASCX) DinnerForm to put the functionality of creating and editing dinners into one file because it is essential the same and they use it using RenderPartial("DinnerForm"). This approach seems fine for me but I've run into a problem where you have to add additonal route values or html properties to the Form tag. This picks up the current action and controller automatically: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> However, if I use another BeginForm() overload which allows to pass in enctype or any other attribute I have to do it like this: <% using ("Create", "Section", new { modal = true }, FormMethod.Post, new { enctype = "multipart/form-data" })) and as you can see we lose the ability to automatically detect in which View we are calling RenderPartial("OurCreateEditFormPartial"). We can't have hardcoded values in there because in Edit View this postback will fail or won't postback to the right controller action. What should I do in this case?

  • Implementing a configurable factory

    - by Decko
I'm having difficulties finding out how to implement a 'configurable' behavior in a factory class in PHP. I've got at class, which takes another class as an argument in its constructor. The argument class could take a number of arguments in its constructor. An instance of my main class could look something like this $instance = new MyClass(new OtherClass(20, true)); $instance2 = new MyClass(new DifferentClass('test')); This is rather clumsy and has a number of problems and therefore I would like to move this into a factory class. The problem is that this factory somehow needs to know how to instantiate the argument class, as this class can have any number of arguments in the constructor. Preferably I would like to be able to do something like this $instance = Factory::build('OtherClass'); $instance2 = Factory::build('DifferentClass'); And let the factory retrieve the arguments from a configuration array or similar. Is there a proper solution to this problem?
