• SSIS - Skip Missing Files

  I have a SSIS 2008 package that calls about 10 other SSIS packages (legacy issues, don't ask). Each of those child packages loads a specific file into a table. But sometimes one or more of these input files will be missing. How can I let a child package fail (because a file is missing) but let the rest of the parent package keep on running? I've tried increasing the maximum error count on the parent package, the tasks in the parent package that call each child, and in the child package itself. None of that seemed to make any difference. I still get this error when I run it with a file missing: SSIS Warning Code DTS_W_MAXIMUMERRORCOUNTREACHED. The Execution method succeeded, but the number of errors raised (2) reached the maximum allowed (1); resulting in failure. This occurs when the number of errors reaches the number specified in MaximumErrorCount. Change the MaximumErrorCount or fix the errors. Edit: failpackageonfailure and faulparentonfailure are already all set to false everywhere.

• PHP File Upload, files disappearing from /tmp before move_uploaded_files

  Hi, I have a very basic upload script, probably lifted straight off the php.net/move_upload_files function page. move_uploaded_file() is failed because it cannot find the tmp file in the tmp folder. But I KNOW that it is being put there, but is removed before move_upload_file() can deal with it in my script. I know it is being put there since I can see a file in there when a large file is being posted to the server. Also $_FILEScontains correct details for the file I have just uploaded. Had anyone have any idea why the temporary file is being removed from /tmp before I have a chance to handle it? • How long do you keep session cookies around for?

  Hi, I'm implementing a web app, which uses sessions. I'm using GWT and app engine as my client/server, but I don't think they're doing anything really different than I would do with PHP and apache etc. When a user logs into my web app, I am using HttpSession to start a session for them. I get the session id like this: // From my login servlet: getThreadLocalRequest().getSession(false).getId(); I return the sessionId back to the client, and they store it in a cookie. The tutorial I'm using sets this cookie to 'expire' in two weeks: Cookie.write("sid", theSessionId, 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 14); // two weeks Here's where I'm confused: if the cookie expires in two weeks, then my user will go along using the webapp happily, only to one day browse to my site and be shown a login screen. What are my options? Can I just set no expiration time for this cookie? That way the user would have to explicitly log out, otherwise they could just use the app forever without having to log back in? Or is there a better way to do this? I can't remember sites like Twitter having ever asked me to log back in again. I seem to be permanently logged in. Do they just set no expiration? The webapp isn't protecting any sort of highly sensitive data, so I don't mind leaving a cookie that doesn't expire, but it seems like there must be a better way?   I have a scenario where I have multiple threads adding to a queue and multiple threads reading from the same queue. If the queue reaches a specific size all threads that are filling the queue will be blocked on add until an item is removed from the queue.   I have a problem with the Jakarta Commons HttpClient. Before my self-written HttpServer gets the real request there is one request which is completely empty. That's the first problem. • retrieve value from hashtable with clone of key; C#

  I would like to know if there is any possible way to retrieve an item from a hashtable using a key that is identical to the actual key, but a different object. I understand why it is probably not possible, but I would like to see if there is any tricky way to do it. My problem arises from the fact that, being as stupid as I am, I created hashtables with int[] as the keys, with the integer arrays containing indices representing spatial position. I somehow knew that I needed to create a new int[] every time I wanted to add a new entry, but neglected to think that when I generated spatial coordinate arrays later they would be worthless in retrieving the values from my hashtables. Now I am trying to decide whether to rearrange things so that I can store my values in ArrayLists, or whether to search through the list of keys in the Hashtable for the one I need every time I want to get a value, neither of the options being very cool. Unless of course there is a way to get //1 to work like //2! • wpf 4 datagrid not highlighting row.

  I have a shiny new wpf 4 datagrid, and no matter what I do I can't make the row highlight when the user clicks on a cell. It works on the empty "new record" row on the bottom, but not on rows with data (yes I've tried with and without readonly). • How do you get the viewport scale after pinch/zoom on an iPhone web app?

  Does anyone know how to get the size in pixels or scale value of the viewport after a user has pinched or double tapped to zoom in/out on a page in JavaScript? I've tried using window.innerWidth but I've had mixed results. Sometimes it seems to accurately give the number of pixels the viewport is showing, however, if I zoom way in on a page and then do a large pinch to zoom back out, window.innerWidth will be around 600-700 even though it is only showing ~200px of the page. The page is only 400px wide and it didn't show the checkered "you've gone too far" background you see when you zoom out beyond the page size. If I do small pinches to zoom in and out, window.innerWidth appears to work just fine. Unfortunately I can't rely on a user only making small pinch gestures :) I've also tried to use the scale property on the gesture event object, but I've found that unreliable because you don't always know the initial scale when you reload the page or use back/forward buttons to navigate to it even when using the meta tag to specify it. Ultimately, I'm trying to make an app that is aware of when a user is trying to zoom out beyond the maximum zoom level so if there is another way to do this I'm interested in hearing about it :) Here's the code I'm using to get the innerWidth: document.body.addEventListener('gestureend', function (evt) { console.log(window.innerWidth); // inaccurate when doing large pinch gestures }, false); Thanks!

  Hi, I am helping out my company with some old delphi 7 code. There is a record declared at the start that is used throughout to store all the data we want outputted. type TOutput_Type = record result: String; resultoffset: String; selected: boolean; resultcategory: integer; end; and then an array of this is declared Output: array of TOutput_Type; The length is set at the start to a large value, as actual length is unknown. This array is used all over the place, but unfortunately the value selected is not always set when used. My problem is I am adding in a summary of the data, but because selected is not set, delphi seems to give it a random true or false status. Is there a way of setting all instances of selected as true at the start? Seems like a simple enough thing to do, but I'm not a delphi programmer so am unsure if its possible? I know I can go through and add in selected := true every time a new record is made, but I'd like to do it cleanly at the start if possible.... Thanks in advance

• ASP.NET: How to get same validators control to be both client-side and server-side

  Hello, For the ASP.NET validator controls, I want to use both client-side validation for the user experience and server-side validation to guard against hackers. ASP.NET documentation leads me to believe that if EnableClientScript="True" then there will be no server-side validation if client-side validation is possible for the user agent. To get server-side validation, the documentation says use EnableClientScript="False", which bypasses client-side validation altogether. Am I misunderstanding how the validator controls work? I ask because it seems obvious that many developers would want both client and server side validation together, and I find it hard to believe both together is not possible with one of the standard validation controls. If I am understanding the ASP.NET documentation correctly, then I can find only two options: Use two validator controls exactly the same except for their ID and EnableClientScript properties. Obviously ugly for maintaining two controls almost the same. Write some code behind to check if postback then invoke the Validate method on the validator group. Why write code behind if there a way to be automatic from the control? Is there a way to do so using a single validator control with no code behind? Thanks in advance for your input.

• jQuery AJAX Redirection problem

  Hello please consider this: On page A I have a link that takes you to page B when JS is off, but when JS is on, I want to replace content on current page with content from the page B. Pages A and B are in fact the same script that is able to tell AJAX calls from regular ones and serve the content appropriately. Everything works fine, as long as there are no redirects involved. But, sometimes there is a 301 redirect and what seems to be happening is that client browser then makes a second request, which will return with a 200 OK. Only the second request is sent without a X-Requested-With header, therefore I cannot tell within my script wether it came from AJAX or not, and will send a complete page instead of just the content. I have tried checking for 301 status code in my error, success, and complete handlers but none of them worked. It seems to be handling the 301 behind the scenes. • Adapter for circle page indicator in android

  I am currently working on an android application which have multiple pages. I am trying to use Circle page indicator to allow users view multiple pages by flipping over the screen. Each page has seperate XML file for the view and each page has a button which is bind to a java method in the Activity. I would like to know how to initalise all the buttons in the Activity for multiple pages. Because at the moment, I can only initalise the button for the first page of the views. I cannot initalise the button for second and third page. Does anyone know how to achieve this. I have placed all the jobs to be done for all the buttons in a single activity.   I paid somebody to build me a jQuery AJAX suggestion box script a while back. It works great. Now I'm trying to learn about it enough to modify it to do something different. Right now, the script that generates the suggestions just takes the query text and does the same check every time. Now, I want to be able to pass along additional info so different things are looked for with each instance of a search box. • Remove application entry from switch-app menu

  What am I trying to achieve? I am writing a windows-form based application in C# .NET 2.0. The application should behave like this: No form should be visible; just a system tray icon is the entire application. So, I have to hide the form during startup and make a NotifyIcon available in the system tray with a ContextMenuStrip attached to it. What have I done so far? I have created a Windows application with the default form's properties WindowState-Minimized and ShowInTaskbar-false. Added a NotifyIcon and attached a ContextMenuStrip to it. What's happening? The application starts as a system tray icon and the form is hidden. So far so good. But when I am working with other applications and when I switch between other application using the Alt-Tab combination in Windows, the application icon appears in the switch-application menu; and when I select my application, the form appears. What's expected? The application should not be available in the switch-application menu; because, the form is empty and there is no functionality attached to it. All that is needed is the system-tray icon. How to hide the application entry from the switch-application menu? Thanks.

• Java inheritance and super() isn't working as expected

  For a homework assignment, I'm working with the following. It's an assigned class structure, I know it's not the best design by a long shot. With the code above, it compiles fine when I ONLY include the Person variables. As soon as I try to use ssn, department, or salary I get the following compile errors. Faculty.java:15: error: constructor CollegeEmployee in class CollegeEmployee can not be applied to the given types: super(firstName,lastName,streetAddress,zipCode,phoneNumber,ssn,department,salary); ^ Required: String,String,String,String,String Found: String,String,String,String,String,String,String,String reason: actual and formal argument lists differ in length I'm completely confused by this error...which is the actual and formal? Person has five arguments, CollegeEmployee has 3, so my guess is that something's funky with how the parameters are being passed...but I'm not quite sure where to begin fixing it. What am I missing?

• How to fix IllegalStateException error when trying to update a listview?

• Multiple forms using Rails & jQuery & AJAX

  I have multiple coupons on a page and I'm trying to get comments to work on each coupon. So for each coupon i have a comments form. Im using jQuery + Ajax to accomplish this. Here's what my code looks like. Coupon Page <p>Comments:</p> <% form_for(@comment) do |f| %> <%= f.label :body %><br /><%= f.text_field :body, :size => "24" %> <%= f.hidden_field :coupon_id, :value => coupon.id %> <%= f.submit "Save" %> <% end %> Application.js jQuery.ajaxSetup({ 'beforeSend': function(xhr) {xhr.setRequestHeader("Accept", "text/javascript")} }) jQuery.fn.submitWithAjax = function() { this.submit(function() { $.post(this.action, $(this).serialize(), null, "script"); return false; }) return this; }; $(document).ready(function() { $("#new_comment").submitWithAjax(); }) I tried changing the jQuery selector to a class $(".new_comment").submitWithAjax(); Thinking that would work, now all the submit buttons work, however it posts only the first form on the page. What can I change to make it so ajax submits the correct form and not the first one?

• Test if string is URL encoded in PHP

  Hey guys, I've looked through the PHP Docs and can't see anything to do with this, so how can I test if a string is URL encoded? Is it better to search the string for characters which would be encoded, which aren't, and if any exist then its not encoded, or use something like this which I've made function is_urlEncoded($string){ $test_string = $string; while(urldecode($test_string) != $test_string){ $test_string = urldecode($test_string); } return (urlencode($test_string) == $string)?True:False; } $t = "Hello World how are you?"; if(is_urlEncoded($sreq)){ print "Was Encoded.\n"; }else{ print "Not Encoded.\n"; print "Should be ".urlencode($sreq)."\n"; } Which works, however not in instances where this might occur $t = "Hello%2BWorld%2B%253E%2Bhow%2Bare%2Byou%253F"; I.e. where the string has been doubly encoded, or maybe this string $t = "Hello+World%2B%253E%2Bhow%2Bare%2Byou%253F"; I.e. where most has been doubly encoded, except for one space. (Yes I don't know when this string would ever occur, but you never know)
