    I'm trying to run subprocess.call() with unicode filename, and here is simplified problem: n = u'c:\\windows\\notepad.exe ' f = u'c:\\temp\\nèw.txt' subprocess.call(n + f) which raises famous error: UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xe8' Encoding to utf-8 produces wrong filename, and mbcs passes filename as new.txt without accent I just can't read any more on this confusing subject and spin in circle. I found here lot of answers for many different problems in past so I thought to join and ask for help myself Thanks

  • Running a Java program with input from a file

    I am writing a program that reads the input from a file and then prints it to the screen. When I run it without taking the input from the file, it works perfectly fine. However, every time I try to run it from the file it gives me an "Exception in thread "main" java.util.NoSuchElementException: No line found at" error that occurs every place the input is suppose to be read. I have no idea what is going on.

  • App_GlobalResources not detected on production server

    I have a asp.net web application project, with some global resources. If i deploy to my dev machine, the resources are used correctly, however in the production server the text appears in the default language so the global resources are not being read. Any ideas? (i copied the App_GlobalResources directory to the production web dir root)

    Hi all, I want to build an application using air. The application should load the flashlog file and display the contents after performing some text filtering. But when i load the application this clears my flashlog.txt though my file mode is READ. I can understand that running my air application clears the flashlog and prepares it for new logging. Is there a workaround for this. I dont want to open the flashlog file everytime and check for traces from my web application

    Hello, I get the warning "Format not a string literal and no format arguments" on the NSLog call in the following block: (void) alertView:(UIAlertView *)alertView clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex { NSLog([NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", buttonIndex]); } I have read in another post here that this error message indicates an insecure use of NSLog. Could someone point me in the direction of a properly formatted string for this? Thanks for any and all assistance! Regards, Steve O'Sullivan
