  • Register and Resolve Generic Interfaces Unity

    I am trying to register some generic interfaces and resolve them . I have the registering function private static void RegisterFolderAssemblies(Type t,string folder) { var scanner = new FolderGenericInterfaceScanner(); var scanned = scanner.Scan(t,folder); // gets the implementations from a specific folder scanned.ForEach(concrete => { if (concrete.BaseType != null || concrete.IsGenericType) { myContainer.RegisterType(t, Type.GetType(concrete.AssemblyQualifiedName), concrete.AssemblyQualifiedName); } }); } which is called by the bootstrapper with RegisterFolderAssemblies(typeof(IConfigurationVerification<>),Environment.CurrentDirectory); The registration seem to go through ok but when I try to Resolve them with Type generic = typeof(IConfigurationVerification<>); Type specific = generic.MakeGenericType(input.Arguments[0].GetType()); var verifications = BootStrap.ResolveAll(specific); The input.Arguments[0] is an object of the type the generic is implemented in I also tried using typeof(IConfigurationVerification<) instead and get the same error . When ResolveAll is public static List<object> ResolveAll(Type t) { return myContainer.ResolveAll(t).ToList(); } I get a ResolutionFailedException with them message "The current type, Infrastructure.Interfaces.IConfigurationVerification`1[Infrastructure.Configuration.IMLogPlayerConfiguration+LoadDefinitions], is an interface and cannot be constructed.     I've seen posts here on how to make a dictionary that has multiple values per key, like one of the solutions presented in this link: Multi Value Dictionary it seems that I have to use a List< as the value for the keys, so that a key can store multiple values. the solution in the link is fine if you want to add values. But my problem now is how to remove specific values from a single key. I have this code for adding values to a dictionary: private Dictionary<TKey, List<TValue>> mEventDict; // this is for initializing the dictionary public void Subscribe(eVtEvtId inEvent, VtEvtDelegate inCallbackMethod) { if (mEventDict.ContainsKey(inEvent)) { mEventDict[inEvent].Add(inCallbackMethod); } else { mEventDict.Add(inEvent, new List<TValue>() { v }); } } // this is for adding values to the dictionary. // if the "key" (inEvent) is not yet present in the dictionary, // the key will be added first before the value my problem now is removing a specific value from a key.   • How can I optimize this or is there a better way to do it?(HTML Syntax Highlighter)

    Hello every one, I have made a HTML syntax highlighter in C# and it works great, but there's one problem. First off It runs pretty fast because it syntax highlights line by line, but when I paste more than one line of code or open a file I have to highlight the whole file which can take up to a minute for a file with only 150 lines of code. I tried just highlighting visible lines in the richtextbox but then when I try to scroll I can't it to highlight the new visible text.     Hey, Suppose someone (other than me) writes the following code and compiles it into an assembly: using (SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(connString)) { conn.Open(); using (var transaction = conn.BeginTransaction()) { /* Update something in the database */ /* Then call any registered OnUpdate handlers */ InvokeOnUpdate(conn); transaction.Commit(); } } The call to InvokeOnUpdate(IDbConnection conn) calls out to an event handler that I can implement and register. Thus, in this handler I will have a reference to the IDbConnection object, but I won't have a reference to the pending transaction. Is there any way in which I can get a hold of the transaction? In my OnUpdate handler I want to execute something similar to the following: private void MyOnUpdateHandler(IDbConnection conn) { var cmd = conn.CreateCommand(); cmd.CommandText = someSQLString; cmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text; cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); } However, the call to cmd.ExecuteNonQuery() throws an InvalidOperationException complaining that "ExecuteNonQuery requires the command to have a transaction when the connection assigned to the command is in a pending local transaction. The Transaction property of the command has not been initialized". Can I in any way enlist my SqlCommand cmd with the pending transaction? Can I retrieve a reference to the pending transaction from the IDbConnection object (I'd be happy to use reflection if necessary)?

What i don't understand is why i can't use the class instance variable and add that to the JPanel as a component listener. What happens in the cases above where i say that the method does not work is that i don't get the "RESIZE 3" log messages. In all cases where i list that it works, then i get the "RESIZE 3" messages. The outer class is public with no other modification except that it implements an interface that i created (which has no methods or variables in common with the methods and variables listed above). If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. This problem makes no sense to me, the code should be identical.

  • Google Drive Update keeps throwing an error when I try to save a thumbnail

    The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe. Per this page https://google-api-client-libraries.appspot.com/documentation/drive/v2/python/latest/drive_v2.files.html Am I doing something wrong here, the documentation says send Base64, the string is valid and, the string is intact throughout the process, but Google will not accept it? I am using the javascript api, I think there is maybe a bug sending the thumbnail using the javascript api. However, I just want the string value of #{key} to be returned as the navigation outcome. How can I achieve this? The only thing I could think of was creating a dummy managed-bean that has an outcome field and an action handler, and invoke it like so: <h:commandLink action="#{dummy.click}" ...> <f:setPropertyActionListener target="#{dummy.outcome}" value="#{key}" /> </h:commandLink> with the dummy class defined like so: public class Dummy { private String outcome; public String click() { return outcome; } public void setOutcome(String outcome) { this.outcome = outcome; } public void getOutcome() { return outcome; } } That seems ugly though, and I don't know if it would work.

    Hi, I wonder if someone can help me. I've got a console App which I use to debug various components as I develop them. I'd like to be able to log to the console every time an event is fired either in the object I've instantiated or in anything it's instantiated [ad infinitum]. I wouldn't see some of these events normally due to them being consumed further down the chain). Ideally I would be able to log all public and private events but if only public are possible, I can live with that. I've Googled and all I can find is how to monitor a directory - So I'm not sure if this is not possible or simply has a name that I don't know. The sort of information I'm after is similar to what's found in an exception - Target Site, Source, Stack Trace, etc... Could I perhaps do this through reflection somehow? If someone could tell me if this is even possible and perhaps point me at some good resources, I'd be very grateful.     I have an asp.net mvc2 application that is using StructureMap 2.6 and NHibernate 3.x. I would like to add unit tests to the application but am sort of at a loss for how to accomplish it. Say I have a basic controller called Posts that has an action called Index. The controller looks something like: public class PostsController : Controller { private readonly IPostService _postService; public PostsController(IPostService postService) { _postService = postService; } public ActionResult Index() { return View(_postService.QueryOver<Post>().Future()); } } If I wanted to create an nunit test that would verify that the index action is returning all of the posts, how do I go about that? If mocking is recommended, do you just assume that interaction with the database will work? Sorry for asking such a broad question, but my web searches haven't turned up anything decent for how to unit test asp.net mvc actions that use StructureMap (or any other IOC) and NHibernate. btw, if you don't like that I return a QueryOver object from my post service, pretend it is an IQueryable object. I'm using it essentially in the same way.

    I've ran into a really weird problem. I am building a heavily distributed application where each app instance can either be a Host and/or Client to a WCF-Service (very p2p-like). Everything works fine, as long as the Client and the targeted Host (By which I mean the app, not the Host, since currently everything runs on a single computer (so no Firewall problems etc.)) are NOT the same. IF they are the same, then the app hangs for exactly 1 Minute and then throws a TimeoutException. WCF-Logging did not produce anything helpful.     I am trying to create a csv file of some data. I have wrote a function that successfully does this.... Since this is an asp.net I need the user to pick a local filepath to put the file on. If I pass any path to this function its gonna try to write it to the directory specified on the server where the code is. I would like this to popup and let the user select a place on their local machine to put the file.... Regarding *2), why would we care about the accuracy for DateTimes in SQL Server, when we only are interested in the bytes of the datetime anyway, and never intend to store the value in an SQL Server datetime field? Wouldn't it be better to use all the accuracy available from DateTime.Now?
