I tried to pass by reference or switch a few things around (like re declare the Filer model, $current_filer = new Filer($id); and unset() it again after the request, but resulted in the same error) without much success. The referenced method "humanize" isn't used for anything I'm doing at the moment, but belongs to the Model because it's used in several other places. Of course, removing the method is not really an option right now, and the model contains several other methods as well so I assume if I just move the humanize method around, it will generate an error on the next one. Spring's EntityManager not persisting

Well, my project was using EJB and JPA (with Hibernate), but I had to switch to Spring. Everything was working well before that. The EJB used to inject the EntityManager, controled the transaction, etc. Ok, when I switched to Spring, I had a lot of problems because I'm new on Spring. But after everything is running, I have the problem: the data is never saved on database. I configured my Spring to control the transactions, I have spring beans used in JSF, that has spring services that do the hard work. This services have a EntityManager injected and use @Transactional REQUIRED. This services pass the EntityManager to a DAO that call entityManager.persist(bean). The selects appears to work well, the JTA transaction appears to work well to (I saw in log), but the entity is not saved! Hoping once I fix this I can work out a way to get the info window displaying if I hover over the div in the html.

I want TFS 2008 to generate only the deploy folder and not the web folder. Transaction issue in java with hibernate - latest entries not pulled from database

Hi, I'm having what seems to be a transactional issue in my application. I'm using Java 1.6 and Hibernate 3.2.5. My application runs a monthly process where it creates billing entries for a every user in the database based on their monthly activity. These billing entries are then used to create Monthly Bill object. The process is: Get users who have activity in the past month Create the relevant billing entries for each user Get the set of billing entries that we've just created Create a Monthly Bill based on these entries Everything works fine until Step 3 above. The Billing Entries are correctly created (I can see them in the database if I add a breakpoint after the Billing Entry creation method), but they are not pulled out of the database. As a result, an incorrect Monthly Bill is generated. If I run the code again (without clearing out the database), new Billing Entries are created and Step 3 pulls out the entries created in the first run (but not the second run). This, to me, is very confusing. How do I prevent my form from freezing when it is loading an image from the web at the click of a button?

I want to display an image from the web to a panel in another Jframe at the click of a button but whenever I click the button first the image loads and during this time the current form potentially freezes and once the image has loaded the form is displayed with the image.. Hi All I just setup up member ship roles and registration on my website with visual web developer using the tutorial on msdn. Hi I’m trying to do some validation in asp .net MVC 2.0 for my application. I want to have some nice client side validation. Validation should be done most time on model side with DataAnnotations with custom attributes( like CompareTo, StringLenght, MinPasswordLenght (from Membership.MinimumumpassworkdLenght value). For that purpose I tried to use xval with jquery.validation. Some specific thing is that most of forms will be working with ajax and most problems are when I want to validate form with ajax. The worst thing is that even if we have different types and their fields name is same validation won’t work too ( this thing is what I need to repair it will be stupid to name some unique properites for validation ). Is there any solution for this ? Custom attributes validation Next thing custom attributes validation ( All those error are when I use Ajax for on normal form validation is working without problem. ): CompareTo - Simple compare to that is done in mvc template for account model ( class attribute saying with two property will be compared ) , and it wasn’t show on page. To do it I created own CachingRulesProvider with compareRule and my Attribute. Maybe there is more easy way to do it? StringLenght with minimum and maximum value, I won’t describe how I done it but is there any easy whey to do it? Validation summary When I have two two control on page all summary validation information goes to first control validation summary element, even xval generated script say that elementID are different for summary. Any one know how to repair it? Validation Information Is there any option to turn on messages on place where is Html.ValidationMessageFor(model = model.ConfirmPassword). Becsoue for me it isn’t show up. I would like to have summary and near field information too not only red border. Any one know how to do it? Ajax submit Anyone know how to do easy without massive code in javascript to do submit via javascript. This will be used to change input submit to href element (a). How is font-size not working here?

Following advice in The 6 Most Important CSS Techniques You Need To Know, I set my body's font-size to 62.5%, the container div's font-size to 1.4 em (slight variation from the article). p.tags and p.published's font-size is set to 1em. However, this doesn't work for me. Both the normal text and text in p.tags and p.published comes out to be the same size (16.8px as computed by Firebug). Can you explain why my code isn't working? I have been banging my head with this one more the two weeks, and still don't know what the problem is ( I can't narrow it down). The problem is the following. I have a solution with 3 project in it all written in c# and I with LINQ. One project is the main web site, the other is the data layer (communication with the database) and the third one is a custom little CMS. The problem is the following: On a hosting provider when I publish the site it all works perfectly, but this site was needed to be hosted on the client server so I needed to do that. But the problem is that I also needed to configure the client server, because they don't have an Administrator employed (I know, I know ;) ). For the first time I some how managed, to set it up but a problem appear. My main web site is working just as it suppose to be - it reads (communicates with) the database, but My CMS is not. So far I have tried the following: -setting time out on connection string to a higher value -configuration and after that turning off server firewall -checking the connection string over and over again (they are the same for all three projects and are saved in web.config) Important notes: I have tried executing the project from VS2008 with a connection string to the same database and the results are the same. That's why I think the problem is the SQL Server 2005 and not the IIS7. Any bit of information is more then welcomed.

What is the right way to structure HTML and CSS?

So, I'm a script monkey at the core. Lately I seem to get stuffed into doing design too for some odd reason and, well, let's just say I should probably have studied better. Either way - What I ask is, what's the Right way to structure a website? This one has a header with links, then a block with tabs, right under another block which consists of two parts and under those a few others who I'm not at yet. However, the thing is, I need to make a block that consists of two parts that are in the same box but structured independently. I'll try to draw it up. I tried using floats, making them as tables, aligning and whatnot. The putting float:left on both tables worked. Kinda. Until I tried to resize the window. INDY WebService over SSL contains link with HTTP protocol instead of HTTPS in WSDL

When creating new SOAP WebService server project using Delphi XE2 the wizard allows to set change port and HTTPS properties. Port is set to 443, HTTPS flag is checked, but when trying to connect to created server it returns incorrect transport (HTTP instead of HTTPS) in WSDL and generates HTTP links on the Service Info Page. The auto-generated page is not so important, but wrong information in WSDL file is a problem. Matplotlib plotting non uniform data in 3D surface

I already tried to use ax.plot_surface() function to make it look nice. For this I eliminated some points, and recalculated the matrix kind of input needed by this function. However, the graph I generated was far more difficult to interpret and understand. So there might be 2 possibilities: either I am not using the function correctly, or otherwise, the data I am trying to plot is not good for the surface plot. What I was expecting was 3D graph which would have an effect similar to that we have of 3D pie chart. We see that one piece (that which is extracted out) is part of another piece. I was not expecting it to be exactly same like that, but some kind of effect like that. What I would like to ask is: Do you think it will be possible to make such 3D graph? Is there any way better, I could express my data in 3 dimension? Script to create a table and fields in SQL wont work

Warning this is lenghty! attack if you knowledagble. well at least more then a newb beginner like me. This script uses three files as detailed below. It is suppoed to create the database and fields from the form input. It gets to the end and shows my_contacts has been created!. But when i go into phpMyadmin the table has not been created. trying to make an accordion menu from a list - jquery indexhibit

Hello - Im teaching my self javascript & jquery so this might be a bit of a low brow question or entirely too much code for anyone to wade through, but Im hoping for some feedback. I have looked around and haven't found a thread that looks like it will deals neatly with my question. Im using the cms indexhibit (cant create a new tag!) and trying to create an accordion style menu from the menu list it generates. I basically have the behaviour Im after, modifying an existing bit of work but there are quite a few foibles, which are no doubt a conflict between the .click and .toggle and a confused use if statements. I basically want to start from scratch and redo this so I can a) learn from my mistakes b) understand what's happening. Im having trouble now because I dont know where to go from here, or how to trouble shoot it. Can anyone give me a quick analysis how the the script in the head of the document work together? Also any insight into the nature of the conflicts Im seeing and what approach might take to remedy them? If you were going to start afresh what would be your approach? Abstracting the adding of click events to elements selected by class using jQuery

I'm slowly getting up to speed with jQuery and am starting to want to abstract my code. I'm running into problems trying to define click events at page load. Mediawiki authenication replacement showing "Login Required" instead of signing user into wiki

I'm fairly to MediaWiki and needed a way to automatically log users in after they authenticated to a central server (which creates a session and cookie for applications to use). I wrote a custom authentication extension based off of the LDAP Authentication extension and a few others. The extension simply needs to read some session data to create or update a user and then log them in automatically. All the authentication is handled externally. A user would not be able to even access the wiki website without logging in externally. This extension was placed into production which replaced the old standard MediaWiki authentication system. I also merged user accounts to prepare for the change. By default, a user must be logged in to view, edit, or otherwise do anything in the wiki. My problem is that I found if a user had previously used the built-in MediaWiki authentication system and returned to the wiki, my extension would attempt to auto-login the user, however, they would see a "Login Required" page instead of the page they requested like they were an anonymous user. If the user then refreshed the page, they would be able to navigate, edit, etc. From what I can tell, this issue resolves itself after the UserID cookie is reset or created fresh (but has been known to strangely come up sometimes). To replicate, if there is an older User ID in the "USERID" cookie, the user is shown the "Login Required" page which is a poor user experience. Another way of showing this page is by removing the user account from the database and refreshing the wiki page. As a result, the user will again see the "Login Required" page. Does anyone know how I can use debugging to find out why MediaWiki thinks the user is not signed in when the cookies are set properly and all it takes is a page refresh? User enters Aplication url (http://localhost:8082/eIA_Mock_5) it has a welcome page (index.jsp) Index.jsp gets winId through jQuery and hits login.html (through Ajax) and passes windowsId login.html (Controller) authenticates through LDAP and gives back 'Valid' String as a response javascript, upon getting the correct response, redirects/loads welcome page i.e. goes to localhost:8082/eIA_Mock_5/welcome.html Now, i have filter associated with it..which checks for is session valid for each incoming request..Now the problem is even though i set data on to httpsession, yet the filter or any other controller fails to get the data through session as a result it doesnt proceeds further.. here is the code..and could you suggest what is wrong actually ?? What is the best strategy for populating a TableView from a service?

I have an application which has a potentially long running background process. I want this process to populate a TableView as results objects are generated. The results objects are added to an observableList and have properties which are bound to the columns in the usual fashion for JavaFX. Is this good practise in JavaFx and if not what is the correct strategy? If you hit the the 'Update' button the list will not always refresh to the ITEM_COUNT length. I believe this is because the observableList.clear() is interfering with the update which is running in the background thread. Can anyone shed some light on this?
