• Using Maven for project distribution

  I have an Project that I distribute by sending out large packages. I'd like to know if there is a user friendly way of using Maven to distribute updates of the project? I'd need something like what is done for updating softwares like Firefox or Acrobat Reader. Check a respository, warn user of an update, download and reconfigure. All within a simple and friendly interface. Alternative open source java projects are welcome.

  When refactoring away some #defines I came across declarations similar to the following in a C++ header file: static const unsigned int VAL = 42; const unsigned int ANOTHER_VAL = 37; The question is, what difference, if any, will the static make? Note that multiple inclusion of the headers isn't possible due to the classic #ifndef HEADER #define HEADER #endif trick (if that matters). Does the static mean only one copy of VAL is created, in case the header is included by more than one source file?

  Hello I would like to show a fixed number of sections in a table view with a Fetched Results Controller as the data source. If you image the contacts app where sections organised by the alphabet, it will not have a header for B if there are no contacts in that section, so the section headers you see are A then C. I would like to display a section header in my table (for B), but without any rows. an empty section in effect. Can NSFetchedResultsController do this for me?

In other words is there any reason I should take more time out to download source for the library and build it under .net 4.0 (assuming it builds without any problems I guess) as opposed to downloading the .net 3.5 binaries.   I have a TextView with its MovementMethod set to LinkMovementMethod. Text added to the TextView is a combination of normal text and URLs. For URLs, I would like to offer a context menu when the URL is long pressed for doing things such as copying the address. I've had a look at the source for LinkMovementMethod but it doesn't seem to have any long pressed related code I could override. Any ideas on how to go around achieving this?

  I have an asp.net C# web forms application in .net framework 4 In my pages, when I view html source it changes control IDs to something like ctl00_CPHPageContents_txtUserID actually it is txtUserID This application was first in Framework 3.5 and IDs were generated like CPHPageContents_txtUserID So, in short, in Framework 3.5 Id was CPHPageContents_txtUserID and now in Framework 4 ID is ctl00_CPHPageContents_txtUserID which is breaking our automation tests. Can I remove this ctl00 added by Framework 4?

  Hi, I have created a really basic project (Make) like this: (ede-proj-project "zrm" :name "zrm" :file "Project.ede" :targets (list (ede-proj-target-makefile-program "zm" :name "zrm" :path "" :source '("zrm.c") ) ) ) When doing M-x ede-proj-regenerate RET and M-x compile RET RET (accepting make -k as my compile command), make keeps bailing with a **missing separator error. When editing my Makefile outside of Emacs (with the darn evil vi) and replacing spaces by tabs, it works. Is there anything special I should pay attention in order to have this work ? Regards
