    I have 3 files. xxx which imports xxx2 and xxx2 imports xxx3 which one raises OppsError exception. xxx3.py: class OppsError(Exception):pass def go(): raise OppsError() xxx2.py: import xxx3 xxx3.go() xxx.py: try: import xxx2 except xxx3.OppsError: print 'ops' When i run xxx.py i get error NameError: name 'xxx3' is not defined. Is importing xxx3 inside xxx only way to catch OppsError?

How can I achieve the same functionality on my application deployed on Tomcat(or any server) for that matter. I have observed the exploded war folder under webapps has gsp files but not the groovy files.

    I have two floats in Python that I'd like to subtract, i.e. v1 = float(value1) v2 = float(value2) diff = v1 - v2 I want "diff" to be computed upto two significant figures, that is compute it using %.2f of v1 and %.2f of v2. How can I do this? I know how to print v1 and v2 up to two decimals, but not how to do arithmetic like that. thanks.

I tried a decorator function but if I define it in main I can't call it from other functions in the script.     I have a file in a folder like this: installer-x86_64-XXX.XX-diagnostic.run The XXX.XX is a version number and I need the version number only. How to do it in linux? I have this code: #!/bin/bash current_ver=$(find /mnt/builds/current -name '*.run'|awk -F/ '{print $NF}') So this gives me just the name of the file correctly (minus the location, which I dont want). But how do I only get the XXX.XX version number into a variable such as $version
